I find the princess... vile and I usually love characters with shades of grey. I don't have problems even with problematic pairings, since it's almost always fictional. But here, I don't think I'd be able to tolerate her. I understand that they are showing barbaric practices in the olden days, drawing inspiration from history... She would have redeemed herself in my eyes had she bought all the slaves and preferably freed them. She's obviously not hurting for money given how she was ready to gamble so much of it away. She's a shallow airhead and I love how Qimin seems to just tolerate her. But that's for now and they'd probably be paired off later on. I also hate how she simply seems to desire him and has no care that she may be bringing a potential enemy into their midst even though we as viewers know better. For someone who ran away to find her ge, finding him seemed to be her last priority. It's been a pretty long while since a female character made me absolutely detest her.
Thatās what I came here to ask. If dude died 60k years ago how was he walking around and saving little girls…
Hello! Thanks. Nice to see you again since TTEOTM. Your detailed explanations there is a major reason why understanding the Dream realm here was a walk in the park. š
So evil master is dead. FY i didnt cry on this but will later i just know. For 3 minutes last contemplation is…
I hope the squad retains their mortal realm identities even after they ascend to, for lack of a better word, Godhood. And ML's experiences in the mortal realm as CZ push him towards righteousness and amending the wrongs of the past. I hope Zhen Yu is ultimately their last villain with ML destroying his aspirations to destroy the world yet again and punishing ZY and disintegrating him into oblivion, and has the two children with BX as he wants. š¤

LMAO. I have a theory. Fan Yue is a fragment of JY's being/soul. Maybe JY survived and lived incognito till some event happened such that his being got shattered, and one of the shards survived to be reborn as FY. I feel the same happened with XY and ML. XY (or XY and her magical bow) may have gotten splintered (separated) into two human forms, Bai Shuo and Bai Xi. If you remember, child BX was always quick to defend her meimei that ultimately cost her life in the woods that day. JY was probably wandering around searching for fragments of XY, not realising she had gotten reincarnated into a mere human.
Some viewers seem to take umbrage at supposedly innocent MLs in KDramaland every few hours in every other drama page. Why not fly down to South Korea themselves to remedy the issue? Surely that would save them a lot of time and be productive in the long run in the interest of KDramas in general. Afterall, most need salvation and few are willing to help those in need.
You are in the minority, yet, you are not the only one. She feels like a person who you might actually meet in…
No worries. I admit I got a bit too invested, LOL. Troubled, realistic FLs are really hard to come by in KDramas and LSY plays offbeat characters really well. KH and all other characters in this drama feel very lived in.
Just curious, is there any connection to the famous song by the Eagles - Hotel California?
Finally someone asked this question, LMAO. Not really, but KH's father seems to like the idea of things Americana, if you get what I mean. The very idea of a motel in a remote Korean area seems to be inspired by those found in sleepy, sometimes skeevy, in mostly rural American towns. The sentiments expressed in the song sort of match with the rumours surrounding her father's motel, and its overall mystique. It seems to attract both trouble and castaways.
Am i the only one who actually thinks the female lead is greatly written. She loves the ML there is no doubt about…
You are in the minority, yet, you are not the only one. She feels like a person who you might actually meet in real life. The people to whom you can show your worst self without any judgement are also the people from whom you might want to hide it the most. I feel KH, under all that brazen behaviour, has really low self-esteem. I also think she both wishes YS to do better, yet, cannot stop being in love with him and jealous of dating rivals. People like her direct hatred towards themselves, even though they know better. They think they don't deserve to be loved by people who they think are "better". It's a vicious cycle. No amount of affirmation from outside helps to stop such negative feelings unless they decide to make peace with themselves as they are. From what I understand the reason why the ML loves her unconditionally is because she is a constant... It's kinda hard to explain but given how his mother is, I think KH was as much of a safe space for him as he was for her. I mean little KH must have totally taken him under her wing. š This is one of the few dramas where the trope of childhood love fits.
