In this part of novel he had taken in a different woman while chasing another one as well. So I was not prepared for how obvious he is here. But yes, yes he is, and I'm liking it.

From the sect that produced "the BFX" I expected more from the other disciples esp. JR and GY. I know someone had to be hurt for plot device, but still, BFX basically fought all 6 of the expert bad guys by herself. If they weren't gonna make JR her general, then at least make him a good disciple.

HFX really had a moment there with BFX in front of the villains. lol But just as ml came to fl, 3ml had to arrive too. And it wasn't by accident either, he specifically came to see her. The way her eyes lit up + saying she wanted to see him too + the bgm mellowing out + ml's reaction.. I cant. Too obvious HFX. lol

6/40 The fight scenes were good esp. BFX's. It's good to see scenes of fl and her sect in action. Though I kinda expected more from the other disciples of Tianshuang, as the leader of the righteous sects.

I did appreciate the variety of the villains' weapons + BFX's ribbon, HFX's fan and YWY's sword all in one episode.

True. Many cdramas start so well but then goes downhill and those endings that seems to be just for shock value.

This novel was short but they did film the extra/special chapter so its hard not to have high hopes for a proper HE.

I love SHL too since TYK is one of my fave danmei, and the drama really lived up to my expectations. Hoping this one is the same.

I haven't seen that drama. But one of the reason I liked the novel was the strong women (physically, mentally, emotionally) with grace and dignity, no schemings. I'm just hoping the drama won't fall into the usual tropes.

SHL is an example of good novel to drama adaptation even with many major changes.

Hopefully she stays reasonable till the end. Because having a smart character who is interested with the lead can either be a good ally or worse enemy.

FQW's character is unrecognizable from the novel, its totally different. Her entrance was almost cool except for the cgi. Seems like she'll have a bigger role than HCR in the first half of the story.

And another familiar face, Yuanyuan looks like she has a thing for her boss. Hope it won't turn ugly later on as ml needs all the loyal people he can get.

5/40 Nothing much stood out from this ep. So I'll just talk about the bts. I was waiting for WYJ to post photos with ZLS and he came through. As expected of Zirui and Chen Qian Qian. Not sure if he'll appear again in future eps but it was a nice short reunion. He really just dropped by to see her. lol

And YY saying ZLS is cute and childish with them being the same age reaffirms what I've seen in their reuters. Good to know they had fun filming.

BFX and HP's relationship isn't focused since she has other 'siblings' here unlike in the novel where I feel like it was important esp. after knowing she lost her biological brother. So I kinda expected we won't get those.

And yeah, her love line with XXK is non-existent. But I also expected that as well since its the same with YYZ before, they gave the cliff scene to ml instead.

Just hope the drama keeps the same energy with ml's love lines to be fair at least.

Yeah, though not complete, at least we still got those light moments, since we know what's gonna happen later on.

Her clothes weren't even supposed to be white anymore. But despite the bare minimum dirt on her, her beauty still shines through so idk whether to laugh or cry that HC couldn't recognize her. lol
And it was fun indeed, XXK was so done.

Yes, he is one of fl's harem. lol And the opportunity was there, so she took it. hahah

Finally, A-Qi back home with Commander Sang. lol At least thats what her first greeting to shifu looked like.
I like how her relationship with LH, who became shifu's biological daughter, seems genuine despite the bickering. Hope it won't change because of Jiurong.

I can't say the same for ml though. But I already expected his family to be a mess like in the novel, except its really magnified here in the drama.

And disappointed we didn't get the line BFX told XXK that made him change his entire wardrobe (which was cute of him). I guess the drama is toning down all of fl's love line with others that isn't ml. But XXK being dumbfounded by both BFX and HP was fun to watch. lol

4/40 The banter between BFX and HC is how I imagined from the novel, esp. when he didn't back out from that thing she dared for him to do. lol

YWY's whole presence and aura is calming and pleasing to my eyes.

I haven't seen all of ZLS' dramas but I guess its true what cfans say that she is a chemistry goddess. At the start with YYZ, then now with 2ml and 3ml, HC and YWY in one ep. Not to mention their love line here is not as prominent as in the novel. So its definitely credit on the actors, mainly ZLS.

But the main takeaway in this ep is, find you someone who will look at you the way HC looked at BFX eating his food, and taking the leftovers with her too. lmao

In the novel there's no backstabbing but they were ambiguous and at one point it gets ugly.

True. Its not actually just one, she liked two guys, one of whom she shared a kiss.
But the love line is not as prominent in the drama as it was in the novel.

Yan Ying Zhou is her first love in the novel. Her first kiss. He appears in ep. 1 as well but the love line is not as prominent in the drama.
Though a lot of viewers still felt something/chemistry between them.

The multiple names are different for each character. For the leads, they have their names in their home state (Feng Xi Yun | Feng Lan Xi) + their aliases in jianghu (Bai Fengxi | Hei Feng Xi). While for others its name + title (Xiao Xue Kong / General Sao Xue).

More of fl will be revealed once she goes back to her state, Qing. Even the characters that mention FXY doesn't know yet that its her.

The ml's family arc was only a small part in the novel. They expanded that arc here to accommodate YY.

Since you don't wanna be spoiled, there's a reason. It will be revealed later on.
