Tried that when a friend rec it but didn't get past the 1st ep. So I couldn't form enough opinion on his acting.

Same! The words she said to the remaining generals after "that" loss was the only scene in the entire novel that moved me. I felt her anger, pain and how broken she was but still had to keep herself together.

But why I do have this feeling that though she will still be the commander of Fengyun army, there won't be any beloved generals, or if there is, there will be no special relationship.

I actually kinda had a hunch with Jiurong's attire in his one and only poster still. But I was still surprised even with the label/caption.

Yes, he would've been a good balance to the angst later on. On the other hand, Zhong Li has been meeting my expectations of him, though we're missing a Zhong Yuan.

I'm not on that part yet.
This is actually my first drama of him. So I'm gonna have to wait and see in the next eps with the character + his portrayal.

The alley scene, disappointed but not surprised. I guess the sibling relationship isn't that important because Xi'er has other 'siblings' here. Though I kinda like how she has a proper sect she belongs to. But I guess I should drop any expectations of her Fengyun generals since they made Jiurong her shidi instead.

And as I thought, Zirui only has a minor role. But it was still nice to see two familiar faces in one episode with him and shifu.

2/40 I like how they kept BFX as the foodie that she is in the novel. And she has a good reasoning behind it too. lol
As for ml, I'm still trying to feel his character. Because in the novel he was both likable and unlikable at different times. Though I'm expecting his character to be more on the likable side because of the actor.

This is my first YY drama. He is starting on a clean slate for me. So he might play a big part on whether or not I'll like drama-ml more than novel-ml.
The "Xiao-Xi" was cute though~

I was hoping it would be tame, like even slight brushing of lips. Because that moment of theirs was precious to her. But like you said, its common. We barely even get a kiss from proper cps (HaoYan) so how much more non main.

And they couldn't do anything about it no matter how much they wanted.
Her saving him and him protecting her. I was looking forward to it as well.

Yeah, I guess the romance will only be with ml. Their falling/cliff scene was given to ml as well.

BFX is strong and capable, one of the best. Iirc, she felt protected for the first time in her life by YYZ when they tumbled down a cliff. And the "I will repay you in my next life" (after the kiss) was actually "I will find you in my next life/my next life won't be short" something along that line. The love line was more prominent in the novel.

And yes, YYZ actor is good looking and quite charming despite the short screen time.

The drama didn't have the first kiss and the words regarding the next life was different. I guess this will be one of those common 'fl not having previous romances/exes and is pure for the ml' trope.
Still, I felt chemistry from them in the little time they had just like in the novel. And them fighting together was a sight to behold. It's my favorite part of the pilot.

First impression, 1/40 I like both the intro and prologue. Though LYN singing it did remind me of HaoYan for a bit. lol The game was also a nice nod to the novel.

YYZ and BFX's entrances were great.
It was really good, not cliche or cheesy, just right. He looked so cool, like how I imagined from the novel. While she was playful, a side of BFX that ZLS play so well.

Yes, she became the lady King of Qing because there's no one else left in her family. At the same time the commander of Fengyun army.

Her mother and brother died early, then she only went home when her father was already dying. Her family in the drama are her 6 beloved generals. They're the ones I expected to appear in the trailer.

In the novel the ml's family didn't have a huge part, the drama changed that to accomodate YY.

Yes, they already know each other for 10 years when the drama starts hence the bickering, but they're not a couple.

The drama will show flashbacks because there were child actors, but the 10 years ain't the main plot.

No mv, but the bts was nice. YYZ looked good in the poster shoot. Though it would've been better if it was for the whole cast.

Hoping this won't be like those pages where comments that aren't full praises esp. by novel readers (most already knew the author's words) are not welcomed by regulars.
Everyone should be able to not just spazz but also express different opinions as long as its related to the drama and not personal.

Still looking forward, but yeah, 10cent knows this is highly anticipated and people will watch regardless of promos.

If you noticed, the "official" posters are basically stills thats usually released before the eps (where its from) is supposed to air. lol

I've also been following since rumor days so don't get me wrong. I know of everyone's hardwork not just ZLS. I'm not talking about the drama itself, but the promotions. Whether the team or 10cent, could've been better.
