If you're not into wuxia, politics and war then its indeed gonna be heavy because there will be more of those as you continue.

1. Yes, proper romance is at the end. At the start its mostly bickering/teasing, then in the middle during marriage alliance they're still ambiguous.
2. The ml is clear telling fl not to interfere with his plans, and she understands he has women he pursues/keeps for political purposes. She herself has marriage alliance with him.

The angst is mostly them being ambiguous with each other. And their military also being wary of each other despite the alliance, esp. "that event" which I think is worse than any misunderstanding. Because a misunderstanding can be cleared, but that event can never be undone.

Yes because the main plot is the title (who gets the world) wuxia, politics and war.
But maybe the LA will have more romance based on the reuters.

I didn't consider any proper love triangle on either side.

There's at least 3 other male characters that liked fl, while at least 2 other female characters that liked ml. But between the leads, the fl is the one that has genuine feelings while ml is all about political alliances. Though near the end he did feel something to one of 2 and proposed halfway to her.

But if the "annoying" question is specifically for secondary female characters (like in most dramas) then there's none. One of the things I liked about the novel is the strong women (physically, mentally, emotionally) they have grace and dignity, no schemings. The 2 female characters involved with ml is actually friends/friendly with fl. Though the drama may or may not change that.

Yeah, no mention of kiss as there's also not much romantic scenes in the novel. But a kiss is the least they could do since they can't show a lovemaking scene. lol

Based on the 1st trailer, their clothes are almost same style/color in that scene. Maybe your eyes are better, but like I said, I'll wait for it to air.

And I don't mind the other fight scenes, only the alley one because it was important for the siblings relationship esp. on how the brother views Xi'er.

Hi, its hard to distinguish if it was really her because all I saw was feet and a fan. The seconds before and after that were not in the alley. And it doesn't help that the drama didn't dress them like the novel (white and black) which would've made it easier.

Its hard to tell so I'll reserve my judgement when the actual scene airs.

3ml is indeed YWY, I'm talking about the actor listed here in mdl. I was just surprised because I was expecting to see him as YWY but turns out its not him but another actor not listed here.

And not sure about YYZ as 4ml in the drama because other than the 3 main mls, they might change/make other male characters role bigger esp. in Yongzhou arc. There's also Xuekong, Jiurong, Jiuwei, etc, so I just called him first love.

Anyways, Xi'er as King Qing looks so good. As someone who enjoyed the novel, I'm keeping my expectations at bay but still looking forward to the LA.

Waiting for the cast list to be edited so I'll know who will be officially playing Jiuwei, Jiurong and Xi-er's generals...

I enjoyed S1, can't say the same for S2.
I see Nanno as chaos, not justice so I never questioned logic and fairness.
In Apologies and Social Love, yes jealousy is normal but it doesn't justify the actions just because they're in love. The girls had many chances to step back and just walk away, but didn't.
I've seen so many true crime cases where its the girls/women fighting and killing each other instead of leaving the cheater boyfriend/husbands.
And the torment is the punishment. Seeing someone they just killed and buried come back alive and well must've messed up their heads. Them continously suffering and slowly crumbling down is more satisfying than a one time slap on the wrist (for underage suspects).

In HiSo, there are many stubborn kids or those considered bad but would be the first one to defend their parents, Dino is the exact opposite. He's playing the good son but stealing and ashamed of them behind their backs. Like you said, he treats them "extremely well" making it ironic. He should've dropped the charade the moment he saw them as servants, but his reputation is more important. The harm was not done to others, but to those closest to him. Remember filial piety is a huge thing in Asian culture.

Anyways, I watched S1 when it aired so its been a while. This was a good recap and the different views are interesting.

I doubt it since fl's at the back. One of the twins is there too.
Even if they both fight and not just him "saving" her, I still think its taking away from the sibling moment.

I disagree. He is cunning, calculative and ruthless. As someone who doesn't get his hands dirty, manipulating behind the scene is his expertise.

The "only him backing up BFX" in the novel already changed in the trailer with fl being the one behind ml, more than once in that short clip. Not surprised, guessing its part of the deal to make the actor sign. I only mind about the alley scene because that was significant between fl and her little brother, who completely disappears once the politics and war start.

If the drama wanted to show off his skills, they can make up scenes just for him. Expand the Yongzhou arc, elaborate the time he was building up his "reputation, make an entire scene out of his 1-2 liners.
They can do so much to ml without taking away from fl.

Exactly. One would know its lowbudget from the get go, so if they kept watching thats kinda on them. Its amusing, its like complaining of getting scared after watching a horror movie. lol

The leads form an alliance later on, but before all the politics, when it comes to individual skills they're equal. They're called "Bai Feng Hei Xi" for a reason.

I'm not actually watching, I just enjoy their photos, and based from those I can see 2ml is indeed nice and gentle to fl.

The prenup photos are so cute, one would think 2ml is the ml.

Exactly. Its one of the only few solo scenes of BFX displaying her skills before all the politics. It was well detailed too, so for me its a highlight scene.
