You should watch the WHOLE drama to know then :)Even tho I hate the scene but I still love the drama.
I understand. I guess it depends on perspective. The fl did dislike ml after that and gave up trying to see the good in him. And ml realized that he really proved to her that he isn't the same childhood friend she knew anymore. There was a confrontation about it when he went to her father to ask her hand in marriage. The sister brought it up but instead of letting the ml deal with it, fl actually and finally stood up to the sister.
I also tend to stay away from those but that scene was implied (if it was explicit I probably would've dropped it) and it was addressed. The actors were also good so the drama was able to show ml's process from being deep in his revenge hole to finally letting go of his hatred with fl's help. I spoiled a lot here but there's so much more in the drama.
Again, I'm not trying to make you watch if this isn't for you. I understand, just offering a different perspective.

Hello there, idk your preference so I'm listing a bit of everything. 1. Game Sanaeha 2. Khun Mae Suam Roy 3. You're My Destiny 4. Full House 5. The Sand Princess 6. Monster Romance 7. The Gifted 8. Girl From Nowhere 9. SOTUS 10. Lovely Writer 11. Fallen Leaf
These I've finished with no uncomfortable scenes (since idk how much you can tolerate of thai drama tropes). 1-3 are lakorns, 4-6 are light romcoms, 7-8 are mystery thrillers, 9-10 are bls and 11 deals with serious/dark issues. And if you like the fl here, she has a new lakorn The Love Proposal.

Thats why I wasn't sure about answering cause aside from the translation, I also consider the overall structure and flow. I also tried 3 sites for this novel. And yes, you'll get used to it. The names aren't as many/difficult as other wuxia/xianxia.

Not trying to convince you but just to add. The ml has this huge revenge plan to those that hurt him and his mother in the past. The sister is one of those people. Part of the plan is to play/hurt her. No feelings.
That was before she met fl again. And since they weren't together yet, its not cheating, but he obviously cared about her so he should've reconsidered that part of the plan. But ml is so deep in his revenge that he didn't let anyone off.
That didn't bother me as much, because that part was just implied, hence why others wondered if it really happened or he just lied to the sister. That or because I'm already used to lakorn's actual cheating/slap/kiss/assault/harassment/rape tropes that this one wasn't that bad.

Not sure if I'm qualified to answer since English isn't my first language but yes, its an easy read. At least compared to other wuxia/xianxia I've read.

True. I'm familiar with her because of a friend. She can't wait for it to air just for it to be done and ZLS won't get hate anymore. So I understand. Promos or not, I've no expectations. Just looking forward to the drama since I read the novel.

I just meant the leads together. Individually or with other cast is more possible, just like ZLS during the drama announcement and ZLS with LY and XL during the drama presentation.
Oh, I do have to add, though, that I really liked Tiffy! It's rare to get such an awesome female character in…
I agree. And I liked her even more with her decision to leave Aey. Some were disappointed with her but she did nothing wrong. She was a good manager and friend to him. And she had every right to choose the people she want in her life. The special showed she made a good decision. She is doing well, and I love that for her.
It wasn't bad, but I felt like there were several plot lines that just fell flat or were left unresolved. While…
Aey's ending showed that actions have consequences. Having a sob backstory doesn't excuse what he did. He wanted the fans love and sympathy. He got it. All the gifts and flowers. But at the end of the day, they were all material things.
Aside from that stunt he pulled, the special showed that actors who are known from bls/ship have a hard time leaving that image. And the fans being possessive when their actors work with others. Hence no director/producer wanted to cast him.
Sib didn't have the same problem because he chose a quiet life with Gene. It's consistent with the ending here where he waited till his contract was finished to reunite with Gene.
Aey's ending is realistic, esp. in Thailand where a lot of bl ships are still acting as their characters/ships years later. So its pretty much on brand. And a spin-off would only happen if there is enough demand for it.
Why did they have to turn all my favorite characters into zombies and kill them? Yihyun, Chanyoung, & Sangyeon…
My 3 are Yihyun, Chanyoung and Insoo. I like how their characters are at odds with each other. But yeah, I also wondered about Hyoryung. Then again many survival dramas have useless/opportunistic characters (not saying she is) tend to survive. Maybe its to show that you don't need to be a smart, strong or badass, as long as you're not an awful person, you can/might survive. Or they need someone to represent that character in the show like the others (bully, smart, popular, pregnant, nerd, etc.) and can also have bigger role or a possible love interest for Daesu in S2.
I was really enjoying this until the last few episodes. I just finished ep 20 and they made the ML suddenly abusive..…
I'm not defending ml's actions or make you like him again like you initally did, but that whole thing is very in with the theme.
Remember the og HS was cunning. The marriage uniting the 2 cities was just a show, his purpose has always been to use CCC, steal the city's treasure and conquer it. He even tried to kill CQQ in the beginning, so SA should be nothing to him. It'll be brushed off as the wife's duty to serve the husband, esp. royals/men doing anything they want and getting away with it.
But since HS had fallen in love with CQQ and is now only just half of the og HS, he was able to stop. The writer's way of showing a common trope in dramas that are often romanticized but is actually wrong.
The "cheap" complaints..? It's a low budget webdrama with newbie leads. A parody of usual drama tropes but in a comedic and lighthearted way. A romcom. Don't expect an S-class production with groundbreaking acting from A-listers about "an epic journey of a poor/orphan hero/heroine with plot armour destined to conquer the world" masterpiece.
This became an unexpected hit because people enjoyed it. The drama made people laugh during the first wave of the pandemic when people were experiencing lockdown for the first time. Different than now when the world has already adjusted to the "new normal" way of living.
For a lowbudget webdrama, it is good. The success and ratings is deserved. Many enjoyed it, still enjoying it and are back to enjoy it again.
I tried watching ml's other dramas while waiting for QSTX, but none of them had the chemistry he had with his fl here. Still one of the very few cdramas with good chemistry and satisfying ending.
If you think something is wrong with her, then thats you. But op isn't asking for personal opinion or speculation for S2, so I replied with purely what was actually showed/mentioned by the show/director. It's up to op what to think/make of it.
Some people just want to know a story or character endings as assurance or warning before watching and getting attached. But not necessarily be spoiled of everything, so they can still enjoy watching and form their own opinions.
If you wanna answer op, you're free to do so. But I'm sticking with my reply.
My reply to op's question is based on the show and the director's statement. Onjo's name was never mentioned/referred when he talked about the immune topic.
Why is Mi Jin sooo underrated, i mean she nailed in all of the scenes. Her character was the only one where i…
Maybe its the character's personality. I've seen quite a few reactions questioning why she puts too much importance on seniority, arguing/hitting others, being aggressive, etc. If compared to Hari, who is also a senior but is skillful and talks to everyone in a calm/respectful manner, its understandable why the others are more hyped/well liked than her. Even some knetz complained why she swears too much. She's not bad like Gwinam and Nayeon, but at the same time not fully nice.
The actress did a good job, but an actor is a byproduct of their character. If the other characters are more liked, the actors playing them will recieve more interest.
