It's simple. The leads were okay, but I didn't feel chemistry. I find the 2nd couple more interesting. The 2fl as smart and rich, with her half-sarcastic half-serious/realistic attitude. I liked her business clothes and fancy jewelry but sporty shoes ensemble. And the 2ml as innocent, nice and caring, like a big puppy.
Overall, a simple and lighthearted drama. That's it.
A drama focused on historians. It's different seeing them in the royal chambers because I've never seen a historical kdrama where there was one. The usual trio is mostly a royal, a eunuch/maid and a guard. The fl is smart and good on her own. The ml is nice and cute but rather bland. I didn't feel any chemistry. The officer and crown prince were more interesting, both with their acting and story.
Overall, a simple and light drama compared to other historicals.
Felt like an old cliche, because it is old. Filmed a few years back and based on an even older novel. The ml is not just unlikable but very unlikable in the first half, though he gets better later. The fl is a pushover at first but later becomes self-assured. Then when she fell inlove she wasn't foolishly inlove, she was level headed with everything going on esp. with 2fl being ml's first love. Just like ml, his friends, the 2nd leads are also unlikable. I remember 2fl mostly crying while 2ml mostly angry, and then them going at each other. Actually a lot of characters are unlikable, the boss, the ceo, producer, writer, etc. The only truly likable ones were ml's manager and coordis who were genuinely nice to fl even when everyone wasn't. Best thing about this is when the leads got together, there's trust so no misunderstandings/break-ups. And despite the cliches, I oddly couldn't stop watching.
Overall, its a light drama that showcased the reality of SK's entertainment industry.
This is only the top 10, but if you already watched most of them and am looking for more down the list (after…
Hah true, but there are movies that gives a lingering feeling after it ends compared to a series where everything is done and explained. Some acting is also better in a 2 hour play compared to many eps. And most importantly, the immersion is always better in a movie than series, unless it's a binge.
This is only the top 10, but if you already watched most of them and am looking for more down the list (after…
I've always preferred horror movies than dramas because the impact is just different, but because of quarantine free time made me give horror dramas a chance. Though they don't really scare me, some are still enjoyable. So thank you for the extended list.
Whatever it is going on in your fandom, idk it nor am I involved/interested. Just because someone is not a fan of your show doesn't automatically make them a hater. No one is arguing, at least not me and that user. It is you who is so worked up on this, defending something nobody is hating.
But I get it now, this back and forth was pointless from the start because turns out it's all about "concerned fans". I see. K.
I like horror and have seen some in this list. GFN and Kingdom were good, Strangers From Hell was rather tedious, while The Guest started out good but became repetitive. None were scary though, just some gore. I already have titles to check out this spooky season. Thanks for the list, I'll add Gift To People You Hate.
Inclined to believe is 'having an opinion but not completely sure about it'. You perceived my post as hating on you own then actively defend the show you love by proving the reason it's delayed yet without official source. If a drama has obtained broadcast license, its name is released officially. Again, you are just repeating what's already posted above. I do not intend to continue this. There's actual evidence of ongoing and completed bls being pulled out. Those already passed can/will still be re-reviewed under the new rules. Like I said, it all comes down to censorship.
THANK YOU!!!! ππΎππΎMy sentiments exactly!! I truly hate anything that involves cheating, don't matter…
Iirc, the cheating was not addressed and the bf was even painted negatively at the end though he did nothing wrong. I guess just to have a reason for fl to break-up with him. So yeah, I suggest just pass on this one.
Was it a happy ending? Historical/Palace dramas make me paranoid.π
I didn't finish it because the art was not to my liking, but I heard it's a sad ending. That's understandable as some costume dramas are based on history or stick to it's source material. As for me, as long as it's not a bad ending, that or maybe I've already gotten used to cdrama endings. (ββΏββΆ)
First impression, it's good. Finally a crossdressing drama where the actress playing a man is actually passable as a man. Even the young actress was convincing as a boy that I had to check the sideburns to know who was in what clothes. She did really well portraying the prince and princess both physically and emotionally. It's only 2 eps but so far I liked it esp. the change of the prince's death. The irony of someone everyone wanted to protect being the one who ended up dead. Also, baby Bokdong has my heart. I want to poke his cheeks, pat his head and protect him at all cost.
Lastly, it's good to have PEB back in a historical drama. Though this is going to be a ride esp. with the webtoon's ending, still, looking forward to the next episodes.
The LA changing a character's gender is a fact. Popular dramas/movies/actors put on spotlight/held to a higher moral standard is also a fact. Don't bring up words that weren't in the post, it said "IF" it was censorship. Idk why you keep insisting its the company when we didn't even say it wasn't the company. It's one of the factors we mentioned when we were talking about our realistic expectations for JXGZ. I know you're passionate about 2ha/HYX but chill, having a different opinion doesn't equate to hating.
I wonder where they'll get the guts to forge a BG loveline for the leads when there wasn't even a suggestive one…
Exactly. There's nothing to water down other than the passing of spiritual energy. If a rose among the thorns is needed to appease censorship, they can increase the screentime of female characters they already have, no need to add or force a loveline. They don't even have to change gender since gods are able to change appearance. They can do so much without altering the main story.
I wasn't dismissing it, companies was one of the few factors I mentioned. Yk's early release of their bl before any of 10cent's instead of after and being overshadowed, was my example of a good one that benefited them. And yeah, a lot do. Though I'm no 2ha fan, I like the genre so I'd also check out HYX.
That's your own understanding of something I never said. And you just said what me and that user was exactly talking about. Anyways, everything is rumor and only one thing is sure, nothing airs unless it passes censorship.
I never said it was confirmed. All that we are talking about here are rumors. HYX being high profile was true. It's popular, highly anticipated and was predicted to overshadow every bl drama this year. But then yk released SHL, then it was CCP's anniversary, and the stricter rules. I guess 10cent lost the timing, hence the 'not getting released this year'.
I knew you were talking about JXGZ, but didn't elaborate on that because even low budget dramas can still turn out good. I was highlighting that, based on what you said, if HYX is s-class good then 10cent should be confident it will still do well and be the "best drama of 2021" regardless of how popular SHL is.
Like I said, everything are rumors. None are official. And you said it yourself, those two won't "see the light of day till BL ban issues pass" so it's still censorship related. That was what me and that user was talking about.
It's good to see that filming has resumed and seems determined to finish despite the circumstances.Β Heard there will be changes but hopefully it's not too big. No random additions or lovelines, and just take advantage of the source material.Β As long as the story that I love remains the same, I don't mind the wait.

Based on LS reaction then WL laughing, did he prank her? lol besties~
I also liked both GFN and Kingdom so maybe I'll check out Sweet Home.
