Well this is from the team behind I Hear Your Voice.

Interesting. So I Hear Your Voice was a commentary on how the law can be twisted and used against the hones and innocent. Now Pinocchio is showing how the media can easily spread false lies, not check for solid facts, and basically can be nothing but lies. How people can just be in a frenzy to believe anything. Though I find it hard to believe that no one else heard the commands and that in a fire crew they wouldn't tell EVERYONE why they were going into an unsafe building. Sure. But it wouldn't be a drama with out forgetting common sense. Or the common practices of fire fighting apparently.

Also, I like how Dal Po is playing the game show and the flashback occur. I'm sensing some Slum Dog Millionaire inspirations. Some how it works. It baffles me how despite flashbacks this first episode is a rush.

I'm already interested in the story and characters! Yeah to another strong willed/minded female lead. If I'm right about this show being a commentary on the News and I'm wondering how Pinocchio will progress. At least that this point it seems like I get to enjoy watching Lee Jong Suk in another great drama. (Knock on wood.)

Hmmm.

Apparently it was bad acting. Because Sa Ra is all a flutter. (Warning this is basically a chain of thought as I watched this episode.)

Holy shit! A red carpet for her classical music even! But she aint' classy! So she falls asleep. But I found it annoying that she couldn't understand how great it was that he wanted to celebrate her. (Though I can't complain, that buy 1 get 1 free "almost free" bit was hilarious!) At first I thought they were saying she was so used to giving and being frugal about things pertaining to her, that she didn't know how to react. But then she was so happy to get flowers from a stranger . . .

I have a feeling something bad/rude is going to happen to Tae Hee because of Sa Ra. I mean she's arguing that they can't be together because legally she's still married. She's not reported dead, but missing. But her husband tried to kill her. Forget about legally married or not. I think higher powers will understand and push that divorce on through. It bothers me that she thinks Tae Hee will not like her becaue he only sees Sa Ra. And he doesn't realize that he likes Sa Ra and - because she is - no matter what! Ugh. (OK, I guess self hypnotizing she issue. Because that's legit.)

After basically dumping him, she tells me to hold her hand. Sa Ra. Stupid. But now she sees how sweet he is. Well this show is running me through the mill. But at least that ending is sweet.

I feel like Sa Ra and Tae Hee are going to be blinded sided. At the very least they're enemies are gearing up and are know who to have in there sights. Chae Yeon seems to be the scariest one of them. She really can't see how what was done to Sa Ra was wrong. It's scary.

Overall this episode kept me laughing. Sa Ra and Tae Hee are so cute. While this was definitely light on revenge, and all the bad guys are getting out and safe. I know things are going to hit the fan soon. Especially if they decided to meet out punishment in the last few episodes. So far the show has been able to keep track of it's craziness. Let's hope it can continue.

Phew, starting up again!

Wow, it has been over a year since I've watched this drama! But I fell right into Birth of a Beauty again. (Though my individual reviews helped smooth out some bumps.) Part of my reason for holding off was every time I went to start up BoaB again I thought it would be too much. But apparently I love crazy shows. Because I fell right into BoaB.

Kang Joon did get the flashing lights of justice, but I'm wondering how long it will stick. It didn't feel permanent. Plus, I have a feeling he will be out of jail for what is about to happen. Sa Ra's justice is meted out, maybe not fully finished. But she should be totally scared about what Chae Yeon is going to do. I'd be petrified if I knew my new wife was the one I had had an affair with, and KNEW I had disposed of my previous wife! Scary. But he just thinks he can steam roll her. Chae Yeon is quite smart and now that she's figured out hwo Sa Ra is I'm wondering how this is going to affect things. She wants her own vengeance. The fact that she can't see what Sa Ra is doing has right, is even creepier.

Chae Yeon now that her brother is outed makes me even more nervous. Because Chae Yeon might just be the most formidable foe!

The winner plot is coming into focus and I really like how Sa Ra comes on board for it. I knew she couldn't not help Tae Hee. Though in this episode I felt like a lot of their actions were sloppy. They're starting to leave a trail and as Tae Hee finally came out as the lost grandson that makes me super nervous. Min Hyeok has an interest in Sa Ra, and I have no doubt that this guy takes what he wants.

Tae Hee is so much fun. I think it's adorable watching him be so flustered about Sa Ra. The ending was amazing. But I'm not sure if Sa Ra is going to go with it. She still has things to do. But I know she likes Tae Hee. At least her reaction didn't look stunned, more annoyed. (I'm wondering if that's how she's supposed to look? Or slightly bad acting?)

Anywho I am so excited for the Winner plot to start up, and how things are going to progress with Chae Yeon knowing who Sa Ra is. Will she work against her brother? A man who looked out for her and loved her. I feel bad for Tae Hee It's been interesting watching him react to Chae Yeon's actions. I'm waiting for the big splash. At this point things can start to go really wrong for Sa Ra and Tae Hee. I really want to see them continuing plotting and succeeding! Vengeance! Yeah!

Oh, my feeings!

The writer really have hit they're stride here. This episode really made my emotions go-go-go-go! The best part is they're the warm and fuzzy kind. Because this isn't just a warm and fuzzy romance. No. It's a warm and fuzzy love triangle! Wowza!

It does bother me a bit that Doo Soo broke of his engagement that fast! Only after realizing he had for Hong Do. But he still was leading that poor girl on, it's probably the pressure from his family to get married. But still, I can't deny that watching him confess to Hong Do makes my heart all a flutter. Finally Hong Do gets what she deserves.

Which is sad because it's too late. Which isn't sad, because watching Yi Seok embrace is emotions towards Hong Do is a lovely thing. From his joy at seeing her care, to be jealous of her budding romance with Doo Soo. Yet again I am on the side of the jerk character, but in drama land they're never just jerks. In the case of this episode and the last it's been great diving into Yi Seok and really getting to know him.

The plot is thickening and I really love how the tragic pasts are working the story. Heart to Heart is already turning into a favorite at this point. And this episode had some of the best music worked into it! Well done, it only made the emotions more intense. Another amazing cliffhanger, the emotional kind!

Not wasting time!

Love how Heart to Heart isn't wasting time. At least when the characters make a decisions.

Hong Do is an amazingly realized lead. Despite her fears she can still say, "Hey the guy I've been in love with and idolizing is engaged to be married. Maybe it's time I move on and heal for myself." I also like that she isn't afraid to make decisions in other parts of her life. Her "damages" don't make her weak, nor a doormat.

Both the male leads are interesting. They're both flawed. One waited 7 years before really doing anything, Doo Soo. I love that Yi Seok points it out: "You had her to yourself for 7 years and you didn't make a move. You don't want her, but you don't want anyone else to have her." (Paraphrasing there.)

While Yi Seok is fearless. He realizes something is between them. Whatever it is he wants to find out. He's amazing, even while moving Hong Do enough to choke that fool out!

Excellent episode and I like seeing more about each character. The p[acing is finally just right and I look forward to how the plots align. Not to mention when Yi Seok finds out that Hong Do is the old grandma working with this grandfather!

The writing is getting better.

The writers of this show are finally finding their pacing, and I think they know what they want to do with the story now.

But let's be honest, no one cares about that. Not after episode 4's amazing cliffhanger.

Well it plays out my dear drama fans, and it's delish! Not to mention that it doesn't skirt around the issue of Hong Do and Yi Seok actions. They have an adult conversation about it at one point. I also love how I can now see some great points about Yi Seok. He's frank and he's not going to lie to himself and others.

Unlike Doo Soo who I don't think is the "right" guy anymore. I feel like he knew Hong Do liked him this whole time. How could he not? So now that she might be coming out into the world, and moving her attentions away from him he's worried about losing her. But I think THIS episode cliffhanger is giving him a chance to step it up. Will he see that Yi Seok is good for her?

This episode has also done a wonderful job of building Hong Do's character up. She's amazing and I'm rooting for her. Not to mention that this episode also helps to flesh out the chemistry between Hong Do and Yi Seok. I could actually see them as a couple. Plus, with the writing and story finally fleshing out I think Heart to Heart could really turn into an amazing show. Especially as the side character become more involved and developed. (The gardner and Yi Seok's therapist friend anyone? I'm shipping that!)

That's an episode ender.

That's an episode ender. One I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Speaking of time I think I'm in love with how the writers aren't wasting any of it. They are moving this story along. Though the lapse of time and days is . . . strange. Not to mention at the beginning when I thought she was just having fantasies at the start of each episode, and now I'm wondering if it's turned to flashes of the future? As in what each episodes ending will look at the start of the next episode? Huh. Strange.

Short musing: it's hard to tell how much time has passed.

Still I enjoy immensely how much the plot is moving. I love that now they've cast doubts on how I feel about Doo Soo. The man is engaged? WTF?! Why would he be so cruel as to lead Hong Do on. He's not a dualt he new why she was doing that. It did help to bring her out of her fears. But still.

This was a great episode of reveals. Finally we hear about Hong Do's grandma, and it's heart breaking. But we also get a peak into Yi Seok and his family, and I can understand why he's so emotionally detached.

The ending puzzles me. While it also get's my heart racing! At this point if they try to sell it as an act of "love" I couldn't by it. But I think it's the start of love, and I'm curious as to how things will be handled between the characters from here.

There it is.

This episode clicked with me. Maybe because I'm so used to having so much back story and the outrageous pace--and then drag--of other dramas. Heart to Heart's story is relaxed, and I'm finally loving the slow reveal of information.

Already Hong Do has been having sessions with Yi Seok, even if she hasn't fully realized it. Yi Seok's pushy rudeness is something that she can't help reacting to. Even with her anthrophobia she still needs to stand up for herself. The actress playing Hong Do has been a favorite of mine for a while and I love how she's portraying Hong Do. Hong Do's personality isn't ditzy or stupid, she's a very smart woman and it's such a treat to have this type of female lead.

While I still dislike Yi Seok Hong Do is making me see him more. Plus you can't be completely annoyed by Yi Seok, at least he's willing to admit when he has flaws. And when she calls him out on certain things he never denies it.

Hong Do and Doo Soo are adorable together. Doo Soo is amazing. I love what he's willing to do for her so that they can interact just a little. Though clearly Hong Do needs someone to be aggressive to over come her fears. And I love the ending and I wondered if Yi Seok new that she would "slip" up and say what she did? Either way another fabulous ending.

(Side note, is Hong Do not working now? Because Yi Seok barely decided to pay her in the from of sessions? Hmmm. And I've started to grow found of Hong Do's fantasies. They're so cute. But I hope they keep them down to a minimum like they did for this episode.)

Great OST!

Wow, even though episode 2 turned out to be weak the music is fantastic. Where I feel like the writing is failing to convey the emotion, the music more then makes up for it.

I will give it to this episode for answering some questions about Hong Do. Makeup can cover up her blushing but her anthrophobia (yeah I remembered it!) is a lot more complicated then that. It also tickles me that by hiding behind her helmet, umbrella, and whatever she's currently trying to cover herself up with, she's only make people look at her more. It fascinates me how irrational it is, and I'm very excited to see how Yi Seok will help her heal.

It's funny. Usually I enjoy it when a show doesn't spend so much time on flashbacks, but now I'd even take those. Because there's no back story to help flesh out the characters. While admire the series starting from present and going forward there's a huge disconnect. I don't care for most of the characters and it annoys me that apparently one of the cops farting issues is most likely going to be an ongoing gag. There's time to work fart jokes in, but not to establish the characters. And at this point there's not too many core ones so it shouldn't be hard.

Heart to Heart has tons of potential. So far it's just not taking off, everything is ready to be shaped into an excellent story. Plus, the actors here are pretty awesome. Especially Choi Kang Hee, who plays Hong Do. The last scene of this episode was so moving. Her expression and the emotions were overwhelming. When the writers aren't tossing in fart jokes the humor is pretty awesome, being both weird and clever at times, and there's powerful emotional scenes that promise that Heart to Heart really could be amazing.

Very promising.

It's a real treat when a story comes full circle. A man saving a women from committing suicide soon fines him self at the same spot. It's a treat, though I find it strange how comedic both cases of suicide attempts were. Especially his . . . but I won't spoil anything more.

Heart to Heart would have impressed me more but scenes cut in and out abruptly. Mucking things up pretty bad into a sloppy mess and taking me out of the story. Thankfully the story isn't too ambitious in the first episode.

I do like all of the actors introduces so far, and it's clear that I'm going to be rooting for the "second male lead", Doo Soo. And no it's not because he is a freaking-heart-throb-of-epic-proportions, his character is genuinely the better guy at this point. The first male lead, Yi Seok, is horrible and completely unlikable. And I have a hard time believing any amount of writing will fix that in a 16 episode time span. Especially since Doo Soo and female lead, Hong Do, have history. Er, kind of.

Hong Do captivates me. From her unstoppable blushing, her social phobias (I know there's an official term for it that they use), cooking, and her love of books. She clicked with me and I'm looking forward to getting to know her. I enjoyed at the beginning that both Hong Do and Yi Seok's childhoods and growing up are put side by side together so we can get an idea that way.

Because nothing else is given. Such as why does Hong Do dress up as an old woman to work? Her blush doesn't show then, why can't she wear makeup at other times then? Hmmm? This episode does more for Yi Seok then Hong Do. Here's hoping that the next one will be more enlightening, AKA better writing. Overall I love the tone of Heart to Heart, it's very compelling and while the story is barely taking off here it has caught my attention.

Meh.

So we finally get to me mama Tenten, and while she's basically the same character from her other versions I still enjoy her. The actress playing her is great and I like the chemistry she has with Taliw. That said the little brother of Tenten and his father all seem to be about the same. But I love all the actors playing them, they're so fun to watch and I feel like they make the role their own.

This episode I found it all very slow and boring. Maybe because now it's basically the same story you know. But then again I've never found the basic storyline behind this series fun. It's the added flourishes of the writers behind the scripts that make it truly interesting. The writers, to me, didn't seem to add anything to the story. Such as their brand of humor, character quirks, and so on. It felt lifeless.

I do enjoy watching Tenten and Taliw. I'm not sure what it is about Taliw, but I find her sooooo cute. Even as a few jokes about her "slow thinking" point out the emptiness of her head. I like to think she's happy because there's not much thought up stairs. Either way I enjoy watching both leads and I hope the writing team does a better job. They have to realize that there are sooooo many incarnates of this story that they need to make it their own. I felt like the first episode did a decent job of things, and now things are losing steam.

That said I did enjoy the small antics of some of the side characters. They all have their own little ticks and it's cute.

Will keep watcihng.

This is my first Thailand drama, and I have to say I love the way the language flows. Especially when it's flowing out of Taliw, the actress is so cute! Maybe that's why I can stand the empty airhead personality? But I still love that she acknowledges her dimwittedness, and instead remains happy and hopeful. Something I've always admired about the character.

That being said I didn't like the flow of the story here. Taliw's home is taken out by a "bomb" and the story they tried to spin around the whole thing was an interesting spin. But it felt sloppy. In fact, the writing for the majority of this episode felt sloppy.

That said I still liked a lot of things about it. King is a really great character. There were some overly dramatic pouting scenes, but I enjoy that he's hard working and kind. Honestly I feel like he's worthy of Taliw. Not to mention that Taliw's friends here are amazing! I love how they stick up for her! Love the twist the writers are giving to the two characters.

In the end this episode didn't wow me as much as the first, but I'm still interested in the plot. Plus, as my first Thailand drama I feel excited! Plus, I've very curious what the actor will do with Tenten. His face is somehow aloof like the character needs, but very expressive. He has smug smirks down. Overall I enjoy the changes being made and I want to see what else the writers will interpret for the show.

Eat my own words!

Well there I go eating my own words. Before I was pretty sure that any of the true romantic moments Seon Woo had with Bong Seon were when Bong Seon was Bong Seon. However, this episode has turned everything upside down! Because he loves how cute Sun Ae is and she's been in residents the longest. Not just for this amazingly romantic episode, but for the course of Seon Woo falling in love with Bong Seon.

Man at this point even I admit that Sun Ae is the girl for him. But unless she's got her comatose body stashed somewhere at a hospital it can't happen. (Her dad leaves her apples on the bridge, so that crosses hospital visits off the list.) Or perhaps Bong Seon will die and Sun Ae will stay in her body? However, I feel like the three years is all you get.

Oh My Ghost has completely twisted my heartstrings all up! Bong Seon and Sun Ae my be a compatible match, but I think it's Sun Ae that Seon Woo has fallen for. There's so much potential for heartbreak a head. It looms over all of the sweet and beautiful moments. Oh, and that cliffhanger. I mean it! K-dramas are really good at leaving you on the ledge. But Oh My Ghost just left viewers right in the middle of a heart wrenching plummet!

On that note the slow reveal of what Seong Jae is up to is chilling. He's already bashed in the brains of a cop friend, now he's looking into Bong Seon. Clearly he's found something he doesn't like and I'm really worried what is going to happen to Bong Seon in the future. Seong Jae is not the type of possessed person to just not do anything.

I love how amazing Seon Woo is. He's not the man to lead a woman on, he's made up his mind and heart. It's great to have a male lead to respect! Not to mention I love how one of the kitchen workers knows that Bong Seon and Seon Woo are an item, and he is happy for them! I've really been enjoying the side characters and it only enhances the overall story of Oh My Ghost.

Cliffhanger alert!

Um, this is how you do it. Never was I confused or lost (or bored) in the flashbacks that are setting up this drama. And oh boy is it set up well. At this point the setup for what is clearly going to be a cat and mouse game between Lee Hyun and Jun Yeong is down so well that I have to see this drama to the end. The history between the two is amazing. It's a clear Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty style of crime solving and killer is going to be going on.

The mystery of who Lee Hyun to himself is tantalizing. Especially as we're given the same glimpses that he remembers. What true evidence could have prompted a father to fear that his son is a monster. Especially since Lee Hyun seems so charming, if arrogant and different. But like his father stated normal people can hide demons. Angelic faces hide monsters. The fact that while Lee Hyun has been well developed, it's such a rush to wonder about who he really is. (But this is a drama, I doubt they'd make him a protagonist.)

So far I like the cast and set up that is going on with the other characters. They're not lost in the build up and not everyone is given a flashback for development. Though I feel like the lead female character Ji An will be given one. Hopefully just to clear up this disturbing stalker talk. No really stalking Lee Hyun is creepy. For me that can go wrong for this drama, so wrong.

The serial murders here are well constructed. Especially the evidence that seems to be leading to Jun Yeong being back. That Lee Hyun reaching out in an interview is being answered . . . oh it's good. The drama is still keeping itself on a fairly light ton despite it dark story. With this solid follow up to the first episode I'm hoping that I Remember You is going to turn into an exceptionally written drama. Because I Remember You has blown away every single expectation I've had about it.

Wowza!

The whole episode was hold your breath and fight passing out adrenaline rush stuff! It amazes me how despite flashing back to many scenes from the last episode that by adding those "missing" pieces of the timeline how enhanced everything feels. And waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more suspenseful! What a wonderfully written idea. I've scene the concept used many times, but usually I just get bored.

Again every character is tied in some how. The episode growing them even if it's for a tiny moment. The acting here is amazing and I cried. From fear, suspense, and the love. Why I'm still grumbling about not getting a DECENT kiss scene yet. I have faith.

However, that ending hint . . . so cruel!! Too cruel. And the fact that it all has to be wrapped up in one episode. Part of me wants this to be the ending. Maybe that fear is left hanging in the background, but at least I am getting a happy ending. HOWEVER, I must see how this amazing drama ends. As I've already moved it to my top fave drama spot. They wouldn't be cruel, not with this drama. Right?

The writers really do try to make Min Joon Kook seem more human here. That events were cruel and things made him that person. That he and Soo Ha are so similar. Only very slight fortune kept Soo Ha from becoming like Min. That if he had people to protect and depend on him and trust, Min would have been different. But I strongly disagree as he had two other VERY important people that needed him. Min just went on a killing spree because all he needed was an excuse. If he hadn't murdered someone, that last injustice would never had occurred. So no Cha, I don't agree with you. No matter the pity story. I think Soo Ha's father got his Karma one month later.

At this point I strongly advice viewing the last three episodes back to back. As the story fits seamlessly and the emotions become more heightened.
