the best way to enjoy this show is to go in knowing that it isn't a typical linear time travel story, but rather a psychological mystery somewhat akin to Memento (2000) (that movie perfectly executes what this show attempts to do, watch it!!), where things are hazy and confusing on purpose since what happens in the first few episodes is explained/revealed in the latter episodes - aka, we learn what is happening at the same time as the main character
it honestly is a mindfuck and has a real bugged out plot, but i mean that in a totally complimentary way! I'm so glad that Thai BLs are really expanding their storylines and this one did a great job with a unique setting, story and characters. the production and cinematography was excellent!!! i was confused as fuck at first but got the hang of everything by the end!
you will be confused! but just hang on and stick it out till the end!! if they had shown the last scene with an empty boat, that would have been the icing on the cake hahaha
Shijio is a cutie patootie but i feel like they glossed over what she initially did a bit too quickly hahahah - i liked the fact that Totono told her to try counselling though because that's exactly what i was thinking the whole time too - matter of fact, put the all the cousins and parents into therapy!
there were a lot of twists tho! definitely had me switching my guess for the perpetrator a few times! all in all, if you liked the series, you'll likely enjoy the movie too!
i just hope we get more garo x totono interaction in the next season!
Well you can watch the first 4 episodes on kissasian it is so good
watch a youtube vid on it and if you still dont understand, maybe just stick to bilibili, youtube and legal streaming sites until you get more familiar with internet literacy - last thing you want is a virus so better safe than sorry if the process is unfamiliar to you
how the hell does bro look like a teenager in the only one and also like a grown ass man in psych hunter?? i genuinely thought they were 2 different actors that's so willdddd
this was so cute!! and so well-written!!! it takes extreme courage to be the first group in your extremely conservative community to defy status quo and stand up for your right to be yourself and i applaud this show for depicting those first steps!! the ending was realistic too, change doesn't happen in a day but as long as they keep fighting, it'll pay off in the end
the romance was so lovely and i ended up learning a lot about filipino culture and their queer history - which was amazing!!! i looooooved the fleabag-esque 4th wall breaks too, they had me cracking up
i guess its because the lawyer's life takes a hard turn for the worse - he literally loses everything for the…
ahh he does indeed, thanks for the correction
i agree with you tho, i reckon the show did a great job at showing his fall from grace, including ep 8 - oh well, i guess its hard to satisfy the masses if they were perhaps expecting something else
i guess its because the lawyer's life takes a hard turn for the worse - he literally loses everything for the sake of power and money - whereas people might have hoped he wouldn't succumb to it
its intense as hell from start to finish, but its also not as engaging as it could be. I think its because we see the lawyer's conflict and insight on the situation, as well as the brother's but we don't really get anything from the gangster - he's just this massive looming threat, nothing more.
I guess that's also what makes it kinda interesting since you don't know what he's thinking while he's with the lawyer but a little more from him could have gone a long way in establishing the supposed mirror between the two
as you watch it, it is interesting to think about who is playing who - is the gangster using the lawyer until he has no need for him or is the lawyer getting what he's always wanted through the gangster's power - intriguing! but could have been executed a tad better!
acting was a hit tho, there's never any doubt when shin ha kyun is the lead
never seen so much tulsi (holy basil) in a show outside of indian serials hahah in fact i did not know you could use it in cooking!! i have so much of it growing outside i might just have to look up a recipe and get cracking!
i loved the chemistry between the couples! it was cute and grown! i do think that more scenes with them outside the restaurant would have been good tho since that setting felt repetitive asf by the end (yall have bedrooms pls stop fkn on the food prep table lmaooo)
the plot could have been better tbh, i think the two plotlines did not utilise all the characters to their potential, especially for nubnueng, the master and the other contestants
shoutout to jj tho, that is one reliable mfkn friend!!!! lets you crash at his place whenever, stands up for you, is your biggest supporter, quits his job and helps you out - that's the bro right there
i was indifferent to this drama but the arguments in the comments make me wanna watch it hahahaha
kdramas should not be limited to vanilla romance simply because they are kdramas - that comes across as infantilising and places filmmaking within a restrictive box, which is a death sentence for any creative arts industry
also royalty and the upper class across all historical contexts, times and places were known to get freaky deaky with it, so why the uproar if its somewhat factually accurate? The show is rated 18+ for a reason, just skip past the scenes if you dont like em
i felt like they could have made the story, plot and characters a bit more elaborate and with a bit more depth, especially since the show had a full 44min x 12 ep format but im genuinely happy this show was made and hope it is successful so we can get more chinese bl stories produced in thailand!
i wish they didnt go with the route of romanticising the hell out of their relationship towards the end, it just felt too contrasting to the way they were at the beginning! i would have preferred if they kept the intense thriller vibes and made the story about joe being forced to escape the clutches of his possessive, obsessive ex after being given a second chance at life - something that keeps the suspense going rather than moping about, dropping an apology and moving on to lakorn melodrama in the last few eps

i would love a sequel!!!

and also probably because of the brother's death
