Also you said she was equally the same does that mean that she also protects him, puts her life on the line for him and earns his love as much has he does?

I want to ask. How do they handle the fact that there are two versions of the male lead running around in the end? Because she's only in love with one of them not both.

I think they are hoping for a 2nd season since the novel is incredibly long which is why it had the title of s1 at first but it also depends on a lot of things. How successful and lucrative s1 is compared to the money they spent on it is the biggest one, followed by the availability of such a big cast etc. Fingers crossed the stars align and it happens.

They need to give us a second season, it feels like the story is just getting started. Like they've just established the world and the characters and there is so much more to do. Not to mention the fact that there's such a great balance of comedy and serious moments means that we could get a 100 episodes and it would still be entertaining.

As in does she take care of him or do things for him like he does? Bc in Hidden love even though SZ had everything like her brother here does the ML still did so much to take care of her.

I already love Si Mu, she came completely prepared to her future in-laws house with gifts she obviously spent a lot of time and effort to get and that also match their personalities/likes. Not to mention her silver tongue full of flattery and praise, Xi Nian is so lucky to have her.

The next episodes look so good, I really need them to make a s2 to finish the novel's story with the same writers and cast. This is too much fun for it to end with S1.

I love the relationship between lord Wei and Qi An, they feel like father and son and the fact that they're both prone to slapping the hell out of annoying people is actually hilarious.

With the way lord Wei was acting it seems he knows something about Xi An, I remember his conversation with the alchemy bureau elder when he said I thought you were gonna be the person to save the Dafeng but it wasn't you, I think he has an inkling it's XA and the loong (dragon animal) factors somehow into it with the way it's reacting to him, he didn't want the emperor to see it and realize it as well.

The statement that the ML is only smart and thriving because he comes from our world is completely false; sure that's a big part of it but the bigger part is that he's actually very intelligent, what does him coming from another world have to do with his investigative abilities? Or his prowess in assessing every situation and its players? Or his knowledge of chemistry? Because we all know how to make fake sliver right? Not to mention his righteousness and moral character might partly stem from being born in a world where we're all "equal" but how true is that actually and how many people would stick to that belief when thrust into a society such as this to defend even strangers at the cost of their own life ?

Hee Joo is truly one of the best female leads of all time, she's ready to sacrifice her life for Sa Eon at anytime, not just to save his life but just to ease his pain, she would rather starve herself than live and have him be tormented. Do you know how rare that is? To get a FL who loves the ML as fiercely and devotedly as he does?

The implication that people dislike the FL just because she's a woman is not only insulting but also moronic. Especially in the same drama where everyone is praising 3 other female characters left and right. People are allowed to like or dislike any fictional character they want as long as they're respectful towards real people, both the actors/crew and those they engage with online.

Yes there is always misogyny in fandom but when dozens of people are saying huh I feel like this character is childish and kind of dull-witted, things she is both described as and shown as in the actual canon, responding with the inference that "gee these dumb girls don't possess enough intelligence to form their own opinion on a fake character" is not the flex you think it is.

P.S. I'm not referring to the people who said they like the FL's character in general I respect their opinion as I do everyone else's.

It sucks that the FL is relegated to being childish and spoiled (according to even her own brother) , she's trying to win a poetry competition when she can't even understand it and completely lacks the awareness to realize all of this or that she's hurting the crown prince with her antics even when he tells her to her face.
The other important female characters are smart, competent women in their respective fields but the lead so far is shown to lack any sort of intelligence or character. She doesn't have to be a genius but a modicum of brain use or even cognizance of her abilities or lack thereof would be great.
P.S All of this is referring to the fictional character not the actress which duh but I'll say it nonetheless in case there are some people who can't separate fiction from reality.
