This was the most fun I've had watching a drama in a long time. Well written, well acted with a fantastic cast and a banger OST to boot. A manhwa come to life and not only do we need S2 but it has to be longer, I loved this season but it felt rushed at times, especially in the 2nd half, they needed more time for the story to breathe and the emotional beats to land. Ga min's mom in the hospital, Se Hyeon quitting the study group and then coming back, Sun cheol, Lee Hyun woo etc. At times it felt like they were in a race against time to get to plot points and there was a fast forward button being used. 12-14 1H episodes would've made the emotional moments and story better imho.
I do like the fact that they focus on other characters but not in that way. I do wish that we had more lead moments.…
If they cut that then the entire relationship + his arc goes down the drain. We've had 20 episodes of lead up, if the culmination isn't them having a conversation where he tells her all he's been through, is finally honest with someone and gets unconditional support from her and someone to take care of him for once after being that person for everyone including her in the next episodes before he gets 20 times more traumatized then what have we been doing until now.
The fact that she need to see someone else with PTSD to maybe start thinking that LZ was in such incredible pain in the ep 27 preview is sending me. You mean to tell me she didn't do any research or even think for 5 seconds that if she's going through so much, then for the person she claims to love deeply, what it must be like for him having so much more trauma with the death of his friend and everything else? That maybe the selfless "nothing's wrong with me" guy (when you yourself were hiding things multiple times) was not telling you exactly how f*cked up he is?
I came to grow a deep respect for the writer of this show, whether it is the web novel writer or the adapted screenwriter..…
Her mother is a lot more sensible than her, I love that she told her what's up but I'm confused as to why she couldn't figure it out for herself. Also the fact that she doesn't know the agony he's been going through this entire time while still putting her first and taking care of her is kind of crazy. I can't for the life of me understand why she didn't it sit for 3 minutes and think about what he might be going through before breaking up with him over text. Or even when they were together, she was going through a lot and I didn't blame her but he was a lot more traumatized and still saw the sings but ending it like this? My respect for her dropped by like 90%.
And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like…
I'm reading the passage from the novel and it's kinda both of them making a first step to reconcile but idk about the drama they'll probably have him going after her. Like is she ever gonna realize the agony he's been going through and the stuff he remembered before we move on to the next trauma dump? Also your pfp <3 I think I've been spoiled by Hee joo's devotion to Sa Eon I forgot that in most dramas the MLs are all like him but the FLs are rarely like her.
And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like…
His friends die and he gets tortured and he thinks she died while it's happening right? I really hope they tone it down he already has enough trauma to last a 10 lifetimes. There's also a video I saw where he's getting shot to save her but idk if that's related or not.
And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like…
I appreciate the detailed answer and nah it doesn't sound negative. Hopefully we get to see her support him and be there for him now not only to make up for her cutting him off like this but also since we've seen a lot of him taking care of her in spite of being much more screwed up but not much from her.
And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like…
Thank you for the passage, I'm just pissed off because it feels like she gave up on him at the first sign of issues and despite all the talk about being there for each other, he's been there for her but she hasn't (it's partly his fault because he's been hiding things) , she's a fictional character so what I have a problem with is the writing choices. Can I ask how they get back together?
And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like…
Her saying that doesn't mean it wasn't actually a break up, asking someone not to talk to you for months after you were together and they went to a war zone if that's not a break up then what is it?
Even though the writing is bad, I can understand why CZY and LJ took on these roles. They are expanding the limits…
And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like what the hell??? After everything ? He's been there for her through so much and yeah he shouldn't have lied but he has severe PTSD and trauma this isn't the usual "you lied to me" and it's insane to me she doesn't realize how much pain he's in and despite that he's stood by her through everything but at the first sign of trouble she bails...
I suggest you give this drama a chance. It definitely has its good points. This drama is a tale about different…
The reason I asked was so I could get context to those comments, as someone who does not enjoy mostly one sided couples where it's the MLs doing all the work and prefers mutually and equally loving relationships where both sides are exhibiting the same amount of devotion, seeing most of the comments discussing only the MLs actions and their love for the FLs prompted me to pose the question to see if this is my cup of tea, since most cdramas do fall under this category where the relationship is mostly based on the ML being very devoted with barely any reciprocation, I did not want to waste my time with something I'm not going to like which is why I asked. I don't care who's more powerful, what I'm interested in is whether the actual internal dynamic is one of equivalent sincerity and commitment.
Great love indeed, it's really refreshing so far to see a xianxia where both FL and ML are sacrificing and protecting…
Same and usually except for a few like MM and LBFAD I feel like the sacrificing and great love is mostly from the ML so hopefully this one is like those as well.
Today's episodes just reset ep 1.Big kitty is gone. Shifu loves Shui till the last ember.Welcome Tsundere Su Yishui…
Great love indeed, it's really refreshing so far to see a xianxia where both FL and ML are sacrificing and protecting each other to the same degree instead of just the ML by himself. Hopefully it continues until the end. I love the way you put it "she loved him till the last ember" people saying she didn't love him, of course did whether she realized the extent or not, the lengths she went to are something you only do for your most precious person.

Thank you for the detailed comment, I love sisterhood dramas and everything you mentioned sounds great, I was apprehensive because reading the comments and so many of them are about the men begging, kneeling and being whipped for the fls while couples who are just as in love and whipped for each other are much more my speed.
How's this one guys? I'm a sucker for flawed characters but at the same time I want equally loving and supportive relationships from both characters, not just simping MLs so I'm not sure if this is for me.
Ga Min after seeing the school walls entirely covered in graffiti : Is this an art school? Ga Min after seeing blood on the floor: Wow they study until their noses bleed . I love him so much, truly king of unintentional comedy.
