Title The Best Thing Spoiler
Also, there are many people who project their own moral values or more like judge character behaviors/actions…
For me it's rather that it feels like the main characters subscribe to a different set of rules, she's allowed to be flawed and human and hurt him multiple times because of it (which all makes sense from her pov) but he can only be perfectly in love with her and endlessly patient and never make a wrong move despite also having previous bad experiences. Almost the entirely of the effort and care flows from his direction and especially for a drama that's discussing unhealthy relationships that kind of feels off.

i felt that too, lets hope that now that "spring" had arrived fr her, she would be in the right mindset to love…
Same but judging by the writing so far I think it's always going to be him loving her way more and her just reacting to it.

You guys are doing enough admiring for all of us 😂 What I want is the FL to admire and love him as much as you do.

Yes, for a modern fluffy slow vibe romance, it's hard to beat! I haven't been this dedicated since Road Home.
I loved Road home they had such a gentle loving vibe and the way GX was the rare incredibly supporting and loving FL we rarely get to see in cdramaland was beautiful.

Imma need EVERYONE to lay their hands off of MY Dr He..LOL.. oh goshhh.. I'm ruined. RUINED! hah
You guys crack me up with these comments, I always watch from the pov of falling in love with the fictional couple and their love and relationship instead of the ML so I don't find myself wishing he was real or to get someone like him but it's so funny to watch you all thirsting for him like this.

The vibe of this drama is so relaxing and heartwarming, the cinematography, the music, the focus on traditional healing all together to create this lovely soothing world which is so refreshing. The only thing keeping me from fully loving it is how unbalanced the romance is, I'm hoping in the next episodes it's XF's turn to show her love and support for SY but unfortunately that seems like wishful thinking.

Finally ep 18😍😍😍. This FL’s character design is really timid, slow in relationship and lack resilience,…
I think I was expecting too much, like you said he is definitely going to protect her "love yourself and leave the rest to me" is very romantic but also shouldn't they both love themselves and love each other, why is it too much to ask that a grown woman in a relationship also takes care of her bf like he does. I would've loved to see her support him now but that would be wishful thinking, it's going to be him doing 99% like has been until the end.

Yeah there's not a lot that have mutual and equal relationships; 90% of cdramas are the exact same as this one with the most unbalanced unequal relationships you've ever seen. If you don't mind costume cdramas than Blossoming love and Divine tree both had very equal rlsps.

Does MLs in chinese drama really have no self respect? At Least hold yourself for a while, give her the chance…
Falling into you, fake it till you make it, you are my glory and road home are like the 1% where the effort and love felt equal.

I'm really curious when I'll watch cdrama with healthy relationship. In the beginning I had hope this would be…
Yeah, I also think the difference is when the MLs used to treat the FLs like trash it was before they fell in love they were just assholes in general and when they did fall in love they became the most caring protective people who would do anything for her but now the FL treats the ML like trash from start to end even if she doesn't she almost never makes any effort and all the work is from ML's side.

Does her rejecting him make sense? Sure. She has some trauma about her past relationship, is about to study abroad. That…
Agreed and also with this being a cdrama I think there is close to a 0% chance that she will be the one to win him over and chase him later. He's going to keep making 99.9% of the effort . What's also messed up is yeah she has trauma from her ex but the ML is completely different and is treating her a thousand times better than her ex did on the other hand the ML has trauma from his ex except in this case the FL is doing the exact same thing to him like...

The script needs him to be someone who is very much SIMP and head over heals to the fl
Exactly, there's no balance and it's practically every drama, the ML is always perfect and obsessed with the FL and the FL is flawed and gets to do whatever she wants and always put herself first while he's a simp who can't breathe without it being about her. Like who thinks these are normal relationships and like you said most girls wouldn't even want this, yeah we all want kind protective people but not only do they make them too pathetic but also who treats their significant other like this? If you love someone, especially someone who treats you like a queen then you would want nothing more than to treat him with the same love and respect and put in as much effort unless you're a psychopath.

The double standards in these dramas are really something, FL is allowed to be a messy person, put herself and her career first, deal with her trauma (all good things), hurt the ML repeatedly but he can only be perfect to her, he can only give and wait endlessly, always put her first, make all the effort, never get upset or behave towards her like a real person with real feelings.

May I ask is she deeply in love with him? I want to watch this but the comments are making it seem like she had…
Thank you, yeah that kind of set up is basically 90% of cdramas so I'm very cautious about what I choose to watch. I very much prefer something like Lighter and princess or You are my glory where it's 100% equal and mutual and the comments here and on twitter were giving me the impression that this is the usual dynamic.

"Does a playboy like you even know what it means to know someone?"Both Tang Qi and Su Chengcheng are at 'fault'…
May I ask is she deeply in love with him? I want to watch this but the comments are making it seem like she had a crush and there was a misunderstanding btw them and now he's just getting traumatized left and right for no reason. I know the basic premise but what I mean is this the typical cdrama romance where the ML is the one way more in love and making all the effort while the FL does whatever she wants because I'm fed up of that setup.

Check out this list for underrated dramashttps://mydramalist.com/list/3kP8p7m4
Great list, I also really liked ancient detective, chef hua, FTYMI, road home and seoul busters, I'll check out some of the others, How's this one? Is the romance equally mutual or is it the usual cdrama nonsense?

It's comedy romance, so plenty of that. Not angsty and a good feel-good drama with a dose of strong female empowerment…
Can I ask how's the dynamic? I love a good female empowerment story but in terms of romance I need a couple who are just as equally in love and caring for each other, as in they both make the same effort for eo.

Okay, so I read the synopsis, and I didn’t understand anything. So, I hit play. I watched the first episode,…
I don't even think it was to save his life, apparently she wants revenge for her real father against her stepfather like she does not give a f*ck about that man there was literally no reason for her to screw him over so badly but we're gonna have to sit through him still being in love with her for sure based on the trailers and what they're setting up now.

Just making sure cause I forget things and don't want to go back and check....The woman he once said he was going…
Same but I think we're stuck with her, she's the FL not the SFL so he's definitely going to still be in love with her plus the possibility of a child. (there's a scene in the trailer where he kisses her that hasn't happened yet) Idc about her revenge what does that have to do with her having him fall in love with her, being with him for years and even talking marriage and then betraying him in the worst way, she didn't have to do any of that she could've just left him alone. But this is a kdrama in 2025 and the way they're doing things lately you know she's gonna keep treating him like shit and he's going to keep coming back for more.
