I actually like almost everyone in this show, it seems like it's shaping up to be a really solid family drama a la my father is strange, so I'm gonna wait until it's over and binge watch it.
You know , I generally love this writer/director duo's dramas, mostly due to how they master comedy and genuine platonic/familial relationships but the one thing that always annoys me, is the focus on the who's going to end up with who game, it was very present in the 1994 and 1997 replys ,minimal in 1988 and almost non existent in prison playbook and these two were much better for it, I adore this show, but I would much rather they settle at least 2 of the couples by early next season and keep focusing on wholesome friendships and show us couples that are already together and are navigating their relationships , getting together isn't always the most interesting part, what happens after that is just as if not more important. P.S I actually like all the couples or would be couples so far, and I enjoy the romance. i just don't want a big portion of the show wasted on endless guessing games.
Go joon is so freaking charming, he has this magnetism that few actors/actresses possess, that last scene in ep 4, you could literally see him falling in love and all he did was look at her and utter 4 words, I hope we get to see him in more leading roles in the future, as forJang nara she's a queen as always.
This show is firing on all cylinders so far, it's moving and hilarious and heartwarming but most importantly it's tackling rarely talked about issues like single parenthood and sperm donation and female infertility with sensitivity and compassion.
I know the way the female lead looses her shit is due to a disorder( meaning it's different than just a person without it getting mad over something), but that was SO relatable, i've gotten pissed over much lesser things, if my hard work of ten years went down the drain in 10 seconds because of someone else, i'd loose it too. Also I love that despite her anger issues, she's such a kind, compassionate soul. Complex female characters? it's more likely than you think.
This got real stupid, real fast, I don't understand why kdrama writers insist on handling things in the last stretch of shows in the dumbest way possible, it's almost as if they find it impossible to give us a well written resolution that makes sense in the context of the story, it's almost always break up , go abroad get back together in the last 5 minutes of the last episode, wtf is this written in some sort of kdrama manual the writers pass around or what? I was really enjoying this show but alas.
I'm so confused, I honestly hope the writer knows what they're doing and this isn't a case of questions on top of questions without any logical answers, also we're halfway through, they need to start giving us some concrete answers.
I really wanted to like this show, and I do enjoy some aspects as I love slow paced character focused stories, but the whole thing with ji soo feels extremely creepy and uncomfortable.
Okay so it seems lee shin is doing this is somehow is related to her daughter, is she sick and dying and she's somehow stealing people's time from the reset and giving it to her?
Poor Myeong yeo and myung joo, domestic violence is horrific, and seeing hae won's mother get beaten without fighting back until it's her sister that's in danger is heartbreaking, on a happier note, hae won being like " I want to sleep with you" was both hilarious and great, it's so rare that we see women in kdramas express sexual desire let alone initiate sex.
I like the way their relationship keeps unfolding without the usual hiccups. I hope it keeps continuing this way.
Yes, that's another thing, they just talk everything through, she asks a question and he answers honestly, and he doesn't have to ask her anything she just tells him everything, it's quite refreshing.
I really like this show and I'm glad it's only 12 episodes, a drama like this so heavily reliant on it's story needs to be shorter so the plot can be tighly written without having to add filler, my favorite thing about the last episode is how in 99% of the shows i've seen, the characters, especially female leads follow someone dangerous to a remote location alone like dumbasses , I thought it was the same thing here and then she was like, " the first thing I did was call the cops do you think I'm stupid", thanks Ga Hyun.
I really like this show and I don't even completely understand why, I can usually pinpoint why I enjoy a drama, but in this case, I come out of every episode having thoroughly enjoyed it, but I can't explicitly justify it, maybe it's that although the plot is nothing new, the combination of great acting and chemistry, with well written characters that are just good people living their lives, as well as the fact that it's melodramatic on paper but not really in execution, it's quite muted and mellow, none of the usual theatrics that come with this sort of story are present so far.
I honestly don't find this show boring at all, sure it's slow but it's also deliberate and warm and relaxing and just a beautiful exploration of these character's lives and relationships, I can't wait to see where it goes.
I don't know how this drama will turn out but I trust that the female lead will be great, lee dae hee generally picks fantastic roles, her characters although supporting are always so complex and badass.
Eun Ho is a main character so it's doubtful that he'll die, but his accident will make Young Jin investigate the…
omg, I remember that, it was awful but the show turned out to be pretty good, also, she's still reeling from her best friend's death do they really need to kill the only other person that seems to love.

Maybe, I wish they'd keep him alive but I don't think that's happening, I honestly got attatched to him so quickly, he's been neglected and abused his whole life for him to die like that is just so freaking sad.
