yes we know it was all filmed as one and the rule didn’t even exist when they filmed. I think what some of us…
They are also blatantly obvious in the treatment of how they adapted the characters... when a certain someone appeared suddenly in ep17 I literally burst out laughing

Thank you for your comments. All 3 men love her deeply but with different intentions. As much as I also love XL,…
I actually disagree with Cangxuan's propaganda...
I still don't agree that he needed to attack Haoling the way he did. And later when he finally talked with his teacher, he actually felt stupid too... because his mentor already was grooming him as his heir... but he just went ahead to strike first...
People did die for this haoling war, its not as bloodless as they tried to downplay the damage...
It doesn't mean that one country will not have war, it just means the entire world is under one ruler, and who knows in future what kind of ruler that will be which may cause pain and suffering to the masses... I don't buy this 'unification' msg at all.. CX was just doing it for ambition and secretly I think he wants the world to be his so there is nowhere Xiaoyao can 'run' away from him... he said as much on the swing... so creepy and ominous..

That fight needed some better CGI and moves.
in the novel at least the fight lasted longer than 5 minutes... its just so painful to see when they don't give the fair screen time or CG support to characters and steal other characters moments to give to others hahahha

I was like...oooops they even take from Xiaoyao's scenes now ( the heartache scene where she collapses ) hahahahahaha

And CX forgets that he didn't protect her either when she needed it the most. Plus all those times he injured…
Not forgetting how he was willing to hurt her by revealing her biggest (birth) secret to the world so he can further his ambitions... People keep saying he made big sacrifces but I really don't see the Haoling war as necessary at all...

Jing does it to protect XY of XL? I totally disagree. "Seeing Xiao Yao going to chase after Xiang Liu, Jing couldn’t…
XL was just being manipulative, nothing romantic about XY trying to follow him into the sea, be it from the beach or from the boat.

Every time XL gets Xiaoyao to do something, he makes it sound like a dare... and XY falls for it every single time. "Do you dare to" - and XY and her competitive nature will definitely do it. He did it with archery, 'Do you dare to learn from me" to "Do you dare to find Jing to ask him why"

And yes Jing was protecting XY from XL most of the time. And we have actual evidence that XY is pleased that he looks for her because to her, that means he cares enough about her.

From TSJ's POV, XL is still an uncertain figure. There is no trust there, just a basic respect for each other. He won't know when XL wanted to keep XY as hostage to save his army or not as the war is coming... the characters don't possess the knowledge that audience have about each different characters.

" powerful death scene" I am certain you will get it, after all almost all the CG budget went to all of XL's scenes…
I was just saying its funny how at this time we really need to take advice from Cangxuan gege :
Don't let yourself have hope, then you won't be disappointed hahahahah

We saw leaked reuters of the final scene so unless they decided to do away with what they filmed and give everyone a shocking alternate ending..... 🤪

I totally agree! My issue isn't with adding more scenes for the other characters, but with how they're doing it…
I think this is not just something we feel, but alot of Cent drama viewers have the same feelings regarding S2...
I suspect many novel readers feel betrayed about how badly its adapted towards the end, and probably will finally be able to move on from this story after being so passionate about it for the past 10 years...seeing how the author is willing to butcher her story for profit...

You know, it's crazy that as a Jing fan, I can't even make comments about him without getting negative reactions…
Some people are just trolls of Jing lol
Even though they realize tencent is using yaoliu for fanservice and profit, they won't admit it, so they just want to invalidate everything

too many people involved in this relationship
This must be why Xiaoyao decides to leave and not give her forwarding address...she didn't want to burst into her house with Jing doing hot and heavy things and there Cangxuan is sitting.... going... oh hi guys...

No they cannot spare anything substantially good for Jing because it'll throw off their narrative of Jing being…
I can only say right now the drama version of Jing seem to only exist because Xiaoyao needs to love him and will need his 'death' to showcase some performances for some of the actors... looking at it in a very jaded and calculated manner... 🙄

"Look at the kiss scene: the BTS kiss scene was sweet and passionate"
Thank goodness for the bts becos the way they shooting the back of his head, people would have tried to attack dw again and said 'he don't know how to kiss' HAHAH

I really hate what they did to Xiangliu. I get they want to give the man more screen time, but it feels so forced and fan-servicing that its really a discredit to a great character in the novel.
'had a cute romantic scene on a ship and also had their 1:1 heartfelt convo"

unfortunately for the first part : no, that cute scene on the ship has been merged with that beach stroll appearance where xiaoyao pinched his cheek like he was some cute snake in a petting zoo.... as for the 1:1 convo...not sure which one you mean... but... if its after whirlpool... also looks like a no...

You are most welcome... S1 was good because it tried to stay close to the novel events but when they giving us a super condensed version of S2...thats when their race car is crashing out of the race

He didn't know in the novel. I rlly don't know what tonghua or the screenwriter is thinking atp.
Thankfully many fans really can tell what is going on lol

I also only came to know that apparently TH is a major investor in the Star Lotus Production company that we are all scolding right now hahaha

this makes me angry lmao they're literally forcing CX to marry A Nian when he doesn't want to??? and they're literally…
"A Nian is leading an army with zero prior experience and minimal knowledge, but is somehow able to instantly gain victory and also win over the army"

In the novel where everything made sense, two of the Haoling tribes actually went behind the back of the King and strike deals with Xiyan to betray their own country.
After CX went to the palace and they finally managed to conduct their peace talk and realize that the King had been grooming him as his heir in the first place, CX realized the two tribes took advantage in their deals with him.
So Ah Nian actually fought a 'staged' battle to 1) make the Princess of Haoling look good as a PR move, as someone the people of Haoling could be proud of... that their country did not 'marry off' their princess just to stop the war. 2) punish the two traitorous tribes who tried to betray their own country ( if I recall correctly ) ...

So yeah novel is the best..

To all the drama fans who hate our poor boy Tushan Jing... calling him weak, useless, boring, just know that he got the worst treatment a character could get in this adaptation.

When they stole his foodbox and gave to Xiangliu in S1 so XL could have his seafood bento takeaway for Xiaoyao, and cut Jing's dialogue down in the dragonbone prison... I truly did not expect them to stoop this low in S2.

They basically took all his defining worth and merit in his vindication arc, chopped it up and served as offerings on the altar of LYF.
S2 was the time after being tied down by his engagement and his fake son... where Jing truly shows how important he was as a force in Xiaoyao's life and for her healing journey.

Just like how he was the only one who realized Xiaoyao was unhappy to marry Fenglong, he realized she was not fine after the birth secret was revealed. So at the risk of incurring the wrath of the Yellow and Black Emperors, he took her to see the Haoling King, while also cheering her up with a wonderful first trip as a couple - ( this was merged with Cangxuan's trip to the Haoling army camp.)

When the Haoling King met with them, he finally decided to risk it all and seek closure himself as well.
So he expended his spirit power ( after this outing his hair turned white ) to bring Xiaoyao and Jing into the burning desert in search of Ah Heng. They had a wonderful tearful reunion and Jing asked for permission from Ah Heng to marry Xiaoyao, which he was granted.
After that the couple went on to Jiuli to pay their respects at the place Xiaoyao's parents stayed.
When they returned, Cangxuan felt regret that he was not there, since he actually had kingly duties to perform. Guess TH wanted to cheer CX up, so he got to join in the outing in the drama as well.

After they returned, Jing had a beautiful proposal, complete with peach blossom forests and swirling flowers for Xiaoyao which she accepted sooooo cutely - now axed from drama.

Cangxuan only went to the Haoling camp later on to cheer Fenglong and again, it was Jing who saw how upset and worried Xiaoyao was when she heard that the Haoling king was very ill, and accompanied her to sneak into the palace using his Chief of Tushan status as a calling card. CX only tagged along later on, that resulted in the open line of communication at last, which concluded in marriage to Nian and the end of the war with Haoling.

This 'adventure' was merged into that cheap scene yesterday, with everyone 'in the family' paying respects except Jing, who was now an outsider since he has not even proposed yet... suddenly even Xiangliu got a scene to the grand 'Open House' of the Xiling witch.

They really also just cut a line when grandpa played chess with him, where he evaluates him and said "Your ambition does not lie here... Fortunately, your ambition does not lie here"
This line showed Jing's strategies and capabilities revealed in his game, that the Yellow Emperor acknowledged that if Jing set his heart to it, he could try to rule the world. But that will make him CX's enemy, so fortunately Jing was only interested to live a simple life with Xiaoyao.

Even Fangfeng Yiying's realization that Jing's kindness is not a weakness but a strength, her dialogue was also cut from the drama...

The drama team really can't stand to give anything substantially good for Jing, reducing the drama version to just being Xiaoyao's true love, the one she is willing to fight the entire world for... But seriously, can't the drama have spared just a few more screen minutes in every rushed episode to build up to this climatic moment?

Ok thanks for hearing me rant about the injustice of Tushan Jing.

Now the poor King of haoling will join Jing being blamed for something he did not do.
Due to poor scene execution, Jing got accused as the one who set fire to the plum forest during the assassination. now the Haoling King becomes the man who knew Xiaoyao's mum was in Jiuli all along but only brought her there after decades of missing her mother...

If Cang Xuan had not declared/ spread rumors that XY was Chi Chen's daughter, wouldn't he have been able to manipulate…
XY never saw him as anything more than a brother, but you are right too... he shot his own foot by first hurting her the most with the birth secret that he knew had haunted and tormented her for centuries, just to cut her off from her other refuge away from him, so that he can invade it to fulfil his own ambitions to unite the world.
If he didn't do that, Xiaoyao might have gone back to Haoling during the war and he wouldn't be able to deal without her by his side like his caged canary.
But now that he himself cut her relationship off from Haoling, he could never ask for her hand to stop the war haha..

A little rant.I'm so annoyed at the production team. They filmed all xiao yaos important Scenes poorly with bad…
Ran out of money is right. Really obvious in season 2.
After seeing how many peach petals they managed to create for Xiaoyao, no wonder they just axed my boy Jing's miles of peach blossom forest grand proposal..

They must have looked at that part in the novel and laughed wildly and said... ain't gonna happen with our budget... and just scored that part out... nevermind no flowers at his proposal, as a bad joke they even made him fail in his proposal...

Xiaoyao really written to look like some insensitive girl in S2??
First she cannot tell Cangxuan was so into her, and now she look at Jing's disappointed face and go " What's wrong?" with big eyes and then...xiaoyao.exe stops working... incapable of discerning what she can see vs what she is told in words...
