I hope the fact that this is a negative comment won't upset all the YAB lovers out there and that you will accept the fact that there can be different opinions: honestly I was greatly disappointed by this drama. I had seen the J version of it a long time ago and really liked it so I was curious to see the original Korean version. In all honesty I hated the female lead who was the stupidest girl ever seen in a Korean drama until now (and I have watched about 60 so far)and all in all it seemed more like a parody rather than a real story. Almost all the characters seemed forced and unreal and it was a hard struggle for me to watch it until the end although I did so because I understand that it is a cult drama for many. I rated it 5 and consider this a very generous rating.
I am also enjoying this drama very much indeed. Like everyone else I am enjoying the fact that is mixes perfectly well different genres and that it is acted so well. For me the best of the year so far is Cruel City, however I think IHYV is an excellent drama which I will rate very highly too.
I really enjoyed this article as I appreciate bromance situations in dramas. Out of these I have seen BM, Protect the Boss, SKKS and I am watching Cruel City and in all cases I thought the bromances were really cool. I also hope there will be a happy future for the bromance in Cruel City.
This is definitely a drama for brave stomachs as it shows a lot of detailed brain surgeries (mine isn't, so I just looked away). However, if one can overcome those scenes the story of the surgeon Lee Kang Hun is very interesting and involving. Shin Ha Kyun's interpretation of this complicated character with all of its very evident flaws and assets was perfect and moving and so was that of the remainder of the cast. By the end I found myself being fond of all the personnel of that hospital.
I thought this drama was really good. Although it started a little bit slow in the first episodes, the story became definitely more involving by the end. As usual for the Japanese standards there are many types of feelings depicted in here and it is all described in an extremely moving and poetic way. I also enjoyed the OST by Namie Amuro very much indeed and thought it fitted perfectly well with the airplane setting.

yes I am a big fan of So Ji Sub and I really enjoyed WHIB. Great to have some likes in common! ;0)
I only watched Kagi and Lucky 7 out of these and thought that both Ohno and Jun were pretty good in their roles (although I preferred Ohno's role. It would be really cool to see them all together playing detective roles. ;0)

thanks for your friend request, I also really like Hyun Bin and Lee Min Ho!! ;-)
gosh thanks for this very interesting article. I had no idea that other actors were initially chosen for many of these great dramas. I totally agree that most of the final choices were the best and in particular I think that Bridal Mask, King2Hearts and Secret Garden would have not been the same with the first choice of actors.
I really enjoyed this drama...from the beginning for me it was like watching a lovely fairy tale as I can't take anything too seriously when fantasy is involved. Nevertheless I enjoyed the plot, the acting, the sceneries (the blue lights in particular!) and last but not least the most beautiful OST of 2013 so far. I was also happy with the ending as it fitted in perfectly with the story IMO. Thumbs up for Lee Seung Gi's acting which did not disappoint me after K2H although I preferred him in the role of the king. I rated this drama 8.
