Article Kdrama Bases
Great article and I agree about the fact that no explicit affectionate scenes is what makes Korean dramas so special. However, there are moments in which this is a little awkward especially in dramas involving older characters in their late 20s early 30s when after so much angst to get together they only give each other a 4th base type of kiss...come on, it's not realistic at all and it makes me feel very, very frustrated! LOL!! I just wish there was a tad more realism in romance based dramas...not too much, just a little more.

I have mixed feelings about this drama. On the one hand I really appreciated the acting of the main leads which was for most part of the drama very dramatic and realistically tearful, on the other hand I found the story to be a little bit lacking in the second half as it lost the depth it had at the beginning. Somehow all the initial traumas were quite easily forgotten which I found rather unrealistic.

Out of these I have only seen City Hunter and Innocent Man and in both cases the villains were pretty tough, although towards the end I felt sorry for Jin Pyo in City Hunter as I felt he cared for Yoon Sung. One of the villains that I will never forget is Se Na from Rooftop Prince...she was so bad and did so many evel things and in the end she got away with it!

Article Missed Kisses
I really enjoyed this article and I agree that those missed kisses are very frustrating for us spectators.

I only watched the Japanese version and liked it a lot. I don't feel like watching the same story again which is why I will never watch the Korean version although I am aware it was the original one. I was pretty happy with the J-version and I will stick to it.

I agree with the comment of Escapist here below. This drama was boring to watch in the second half and in particular the character of Lee Seol was really too ignorant and whiny to bear...I just don't get why in some Korean dramas the female characters have to be so humiliating for all the women out there. I only watched this until the end as I was curious to see Song Seung Hun in a drama, but I really don't recommend it and I gave this a 6 only because it had decent acting.

Hi I am an ahjumma too, however my soft spot is for actors who at least are over 30 well, with the exception of Song Joong Ki and Lee Min Ho who are not in their early 20ies anyway...however I would say my attraction is more towards their good acting rather than their looks, although I admit that is important for me too. I think that I would feel awkward in considering myself a real fan as I have a daughter who is 24 so I feel more like they could be my own children. ;0)

This is one of my old time favourite dramas and I just finished watching it for the second time. Besides the acting which is superb I really appreciate the fact that it was shot in 1996 which really gives the 'vintage' taste to the story. The OST is also really good and all in all I am sure I will never get tired of this story which is why I gave it a 10 from the start.

I finally finished this drama after waiting many months for the subs. On the whole I would say that it was a bit of a disappointment as I was expecting a lot more from a drama with Shingo and Yamapi. However the episodes were pleasant to watch mostly because of the quirky acting of Shingo. I thought the role of Yamapi was a lot below his usual roles in other dramas and I hope to see him as a main character soon. I couldn't rate it higher than a 6 as there was really nothing original in this detective/comedy drama.

I only recently discovered So Ji Sub, and this happened by chance when watching What happened in Bali. I have to say that I was immediately struck by his handsomeness and his great acting ability so I decided to watch more of his dramas and I have watched Ghost and Cain and Abel so far and he was excellent in both however especially in the latter I thought his acting was really amazing. I now plan to watch Sorry I Love you and await his new drama of this year (hoping the Gong sisters won't make a mess of it).

I just finished this drama and thoroughly enjoyed it although the plot is quite dramatic with a lot of crude medical scenes and quite a lot of violence too. In any case I agree with Wonton here below as I thought the acting in this drama was brilliant, most of all that of the two brothers but also the remainder of the cast was top notch. This is definitely not a relaxing watch but a drama that will touch the heart for the strong feelings of hate/vegeance and love involved.

thanks for this article as I am also watching this drama and enjoying it mostly for the character of Tae Sang. I had never seen Song Seung Heun in a drama before and I am very impressed with his acting and cheering for him all the way...however I also agree with Jeanessi that the female character of Mi Do is annoying as she seems quite cold and distant and not too involved. I had seen Shin Sae Kyung in A Tree with Deep roots and liked her acting there, but I am not too impressed with her performance here and I hope her acting/character will improve as the drama unfolds.
