I have rewatched my favorite episodes! This has become my 2018 Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms! I'm checking weekly for words about the sequel. Please, God let there be a sequel! LOL
Did you not see Hello Monster? SIG is one of the most versatile leading men in Korea.
My reason for skipping this has more to do with the nature of the drama. I saw Hello Monster which has comedy and romance along with the mystery. There is no comedy in this dark drama. I already know how it ends and I don't like seeing him in this role. No offense to him.
The Japanese version was very good. But, I don't want to see shopping king louie in this roll. It's a tough image to play with an off centered storyline. I would rather see him in a romantic comedies. Pass.
I watched this for Wallace and Tian Yu and made it to ep. 17 because of them before giving up. The script is one big cliche stretched out with too long moments of star gazing to the theme song. The person who is the leading man is vague and the volley back and forth of the threesome spreads over years. Made me tired watching it. The villains are painfully predictable and no one sees them coming. No one is smart in this drama.
The first two episodes are subbed on YouTube. The drama has started out great with suspense and an opportunity for romance. But, I am ok if they leave it out.
This is a drug, a powerful drug that produces irresistible romance from glances, smiles, body language and one liners! I am weak a giggling idiot in front of this!
I can't stop watching it! It truly feels like NIF~ I am so happy that this drama is on Netflix. I just pray that…
The subs are not coming out fast enough! I am already watching the raw episodes which is hard for this type of drama that relies on intrigue and dialogue more than action scenes.
I agree so much Sunny! I started this drama several times but was interrupted. This weekend, I thought "what the…
Rush to watch NIF! It was the most watched Chinese drama when it aired. Top stars all through it. Has a great script minus the romance, but, still worth it.
Kudos to the set director, the costume designer, CGI people and the lead makeup artist! It is clear the money was well spent in these areas. The sets are so great! Even previously used sets from other dramas and films have been painted. You don't see the typical forest road or bamboo areas where the assassins ALWAYS attack the caravan or pair on horses. I find myself hoping the emperor would shift a bit to the side so I can see the details in the throne! Seriously! Costumes are beautiful. Brocade is queen in this drama! The computer graphics enhance the crowd scenes and city landscapes without being too artificial. Makeup actually make the actors look better. None of that greasy off shade unnaturally white foundation that looked more like masks in other dramas. The dark complexion of the male lead is not powdered over and he has never looked better! LOL!
This is so good that I’m already regretting they only made 70 episodes. I usually cringe when I find out a drama has more than 30 episodes. It means lots of fillers and flashbacks. This drama keeps my interests even in the long conversation scenes. Acting is superb. Great chemistry with both the leads and supporting actors. This has the same intensity and depth as Nirvana in Fire.
