Quite a solid story with interesting characters. The ending is rather bleak, which fits with the darker tone of the story, but it feels a bit unfinished and rushed. I have to admit, I thought I was going to end up on sedatives because of Cha Luo's irritatingly hysterical laugh. Kudos to the actress, though. She portrayed the character so well that just looking at her makes my blood boil.
For me, the best thing of Wang Duo's portrayal of NXY and Fate was his micro expressions. His smile was indeed…
Omg, his hands!!! I always find myself attracted to actors with beautiful hands, and he's one of the best examples. They're so elegant! I first noticed it in TBL, but now that I'm watching Bloody Romance, it's even more obvious. I can't help but stare at his hands whenever they're on screen. 😅

People are shallow and don't care about the story; they only want to watch their CP being lovey-dovey. Thank God they went the other route with this drama

Yeah, blocking is great. If certain things annoy you it's best to remove the possibility of seeing them. I don't block people on MDL tho. BUT, on twitter/x, I see one word I don't like and it's an instant block 🤣

Haha, yeah. I remember seeing a bunch of recently created topics with sketchy titles, so I opened one, and holy crap, it was a mess - just rants and thinly veiled bashing. I said it was giving off unhinged behaviour and got blocked, LOL.
Oh my goodness! I cannot believe how the temperature of this discussion group has elevated to the point of personal…
Yeah, it's definitely gotten heated, lol. It was a pleasure writing that review, I only get the motivation to write when I really love something & I love this drama to bits.
I just realised I'm blocked by the person y'all are arguing with 🤣 and it's probably the same person who started bunch of topics bashing FOF and acting all unhinged not long ago. It's a pro-hater at this point, lol.
While I do think MXL set straight boundaries with NYX from the beginning and I didn't doubt her love for XXC.…
Romance does not exist separately, isolated from the rest of the story. As others have already mentioned, the context in which the characters exist is extremely important for judging their relationships with other characters. There is a reason why she is kind to NXY and why she can't just discard thousands of years of companionship with TMS. If she did that, you might get a more 'exclusive' romantic relationship between the main leads, but the overall story would suffer. The 'problem' here is that some people care only about romance and not about the richness and complexity of the plot and character dynamics, but ultimately, that’s fine too. We all have different preferences. If that’s the case, you (not you personally, I'm talking in general :]) can go and find something that suits your taste better, not twist the characters' relationship and lie to vent your frustration.
Looks like female characters are only allowed to interact with male leads, or they'll be accused of cheating and/or…
It’s actually insane. I get if you don’t want to watch a drama with two male leads interested in the female lead, but throwing around cheating accusations and blatantly lying is just wild. It honestly feels like these people have never had friends of the opposite sex. What they consider cheating is just normal, everyday interaction between friends. It would be funny if it weren’t so frustrating. 🤦🏻♀️

ZM from the present was sealed again. CP sent the part of past ZM's soul that was inside of her into a reincarnation cycle, and 10 000 years later, XXC was born. What happened afterward, though, is unclear. Did history repeat itself the same way, or did things unfold differently? I’m not sure. I suppose when TMS destroyed the Book of Fate, he broke the cycle and stopped history from repeating itself, making it possible for the timeline to change after HT’s death. HOWEVER, time travel itself doesn’t make much sense, especially when it comes to changing things in the past. There are plot holes, and I don’t think it’s possible to avoid them. But all things considered, I think they did a pretty good job. If you squint with one eye, it’s believable, lol.

This might make sense in some other case, but in this one, it absolutely doesn't. The interactions between the FL and SML have never been romantic from her side. As a character, SML is an integral and extremely important part of the entire plot. At the beginning of the series, he saved the FL and continuously helps the main couple. What would it look like if the FL didn’t have interactions with him? The girl is literally willing to sacrifice her life for the ML, she literally died for him twice, she constantly rejects SML’s romantic advances, and people have the audacity to say she’s cheating on the ML and cares more about SML. Wild.

Haha, thanks! I tried to make it easy to understand while covering everything that happened. It makes me a little sad when people say the ending wasn't good or didn't make sense, I actually think it was really well thought out. 😭
can anyone explain the ending as I didn’t understand?
ML, FL, and 2ML eventually joined forces to defeat Hao Tian. Their plan was for 2ML and FL to use their powers to create a space exempt from time and space, while ML allowed himself to be possessed. This would enable the possessed ML from the past to fight the possessed ML from the present, ultimately allowing them to kill Hao Tian, since they wouldn’t have been able to otherwise (only HT can kill HT). The plan succeeded, with 2ML sacrificing himself, and the ML from the past dying because he was weaker than the ML from the present (the past ML lacked the fragment of the soul that later became XXC, while the present ML had it restored). The present ML then had to take the place of his past self, enduring another 10 000 years of imprisonment, while the FL from the past had to repeat the same process that had been done 10 000 years ago, to prevent any changes to the present and ensure that everything leading to the final battle with Hao Tian stayed the same.
The final scene shows the present, 10 000 years later, where ML is free and now represents a version of himself in which ZM and XXC have merged. He retains XXC’s memories and personality, but has the body and powers of a demon. After sealing ML again, in the past, 2ML destroyed the Book of Fate (and himself?), believing it was no longer necessary, as people would now be the creators of their own destinies/fates. It’s unclear whether he later reincarnated as a human, but I believe he had to be, because he needed to exist for the plan against Hao Tian to succeed.
I can finally see how hard it is to follow an actor who isn't that popular on the international side. I wanted to watch his interviews and videos, but nothing I find is translated into English 😭
9/10

I hope that explains it 😅
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for making me laugh. This perfectly describes how I too feel.
