I kind of don't understand why people are surprised that the plot is different from the anime. Dramas are more…
I agree. I understand people who are disappointed but some are taking it too far (not on this site but in general). I personally tried watching the animated version few months ago and was put off by the animation style. Just let people like what they like and don't shit on something just because it's not 100% identical to something you like.
Dramacool is not an official website, they are an illegal platform. If you don't watch on an official website…
YouTube link also doesn't work? Try that one, if it's not working then it can't be helped. I also use dramacool but only for shows/movies that aren't available on official platforms (mostly kdramas xD)
Coz the cgi director worked for top Hollywood movies people are expecting more... But with DC's budget the current…
Yeah. I honestly think CGI looks amazing. That spider from the first episode was a bit iffy (compared to the big budget movies' CGI) but even that looked much better than CGI in many other shows. Some people are just nitpicking at this point, but to each their own I guess.
I love the subtle humour of this show, I spent the entirety of second episode grinning like mad; and I absolutely love the pacing and worldbuilding so far. As for the story, seeing how the screenwriter for DC is Wang Juan (Joy of Life) I'm just gonna relax and enjoy the ride.
[Just gonna say I find it funny how some people expect and want the CGI to look like the CGI of huge Hollywood blockbusters who have 100M+ $ budgets ... like okay ┐(´ー`)┌ ]
Just finished watching the first episode and so far so good. Young Tang San is so cute! Not sure how old he is supposed to be here (can't be 6) but Xiao Zhan did well portraying that childlike curiosity and innocence. The preview for the next episode also looks good. I'm kinda glad it's going to be one episode per day instead of what we had with The Wolf. I saw so many spoiler for that drama on the first day that it's not even funny.
From what I remember his illness was caused by the medicine he was given as a kid to recover from the fall (it…
Hmm, I just went back to rewatch that episode (48). There is a part around 11:30 where Yao Ji tells Ma Zhai Xing about the medicine that temporarily strengthens one's body but it'll "deteriorate the body" and then the whole conversation around 27:00 when Ma Zhai Xing wakes up and talks with Yao Ji makes me believe that she took that medicine without expecting to have black blood so soon (that's also when she asks how many days she has left). That's what I got out of the whole situation.
How did the FL got poisoned? I miss the part, I was probably busy with my newborn that I missed out reading some…
From what I remember she took the medicine that would give her that super strength power (or whatever you wanna call it lol) Lord Bo had, but the side effect was poisoning. Yao Ji got it for her.
Were they both poisoned at the palace or how did they both come down with the same illness?
From what I remember his illness was caused by the medicine he was given as a kid to recover from the fall (it also gave him those super strength etc. powers) and she later took the same medicine to get those powers to confront the king (not sure if she didn't expect the same side effects or simply didn't care). Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's what stayed in my head after watching the drama xD
First half of the drama was slow and a bit boring but it gets better after that. I really didn't like some of those American actors, they were awkward. However, I love the main character (Bo Jin Yan) and I liked his relationships with Jian Yao and Fu Zi Yu who are also really good characters. All in all it's a good drama, 8/10 from me.
This was heart-wrenching. I really loved it, the story was good and the actors did an amazing job, Seo Joon Young especially. I really liked the ending as well. All in all, 8.5/10.
No. He's a wild card in the beginning but turns out to be a good guy.
Yeah, I watched Oh My Emperor and didn't really like it tbh. He was the only reason why I finished that drama haha. I wouldn't say he's the bad guy, but the whole execution was really messy and the decisions characters made were weird and inconsistent. It looked like he and Beitang Yi were rivals and enemies and then all of a sudden they weren't...don't wanna spoil it for you any further so I'll stop here xD
Depends on how you look at it. The novel it's based on is BL but the drama itself is censored so the love between the main characters is platonic and to me it looks more like a strong bromance than romance. You can't miss the feelings they have for each other but there is no kissing or anything of the sort. Their relationship is portrayed beautifully and it's more believable than many romantic relationships we see on the screen tho, IMO. When it comes to side characters there is some romance but it's not the focus of this drama.
