Hollywood is as bad if not worse. They let most of the people who are charged roam free. I'm not too sure if they pick and choose whom to charge and whom to let go. I guess if someone assaulted over 10 people then there is a case. If they assaulted less than 10, they get away scott free.. I just used 10 as an arbitrary number who knows.

I believe KSR's statement more than KSH's not because of what we know now , but because KSR's statement is more detailed. if I was going to be lying about something, I would be as vague as possible, and that is what KSH's initial statement look liked. I wouldn't want to provide too much detail in case my lies overlap with another one of my lies.
Also for GM to release multiple conflicting statements is already making it worse. It is always best to come out with the truth once confronted, this way the backlash might not be as grave.
Similar to how Tiger Woods handled his cheating affair to how David Letterman handled his. Tiger kept denying it until multiple women came forward, made matter so big because he prolonged it whereas David Letterman admitted since the beginning when he was caught. Therefore Letterman's cheating scandal wasn't made out to as big of a deal as Tiger's and most people would probably remember what Tiger did than what David did. Letterman apologized immediately to his fans and to his wife.
If KSH had let Won Bin pay off KSR's debts, she probably wouldn't have been distressed enough to off herself but who knows. She could probably still do it but it would be less on KSH's head now and more on the actual bullies like the YouTuber who consistently harassed her. It's like all those people clamoring for a toxic relationship in books, I had to drop many a rape-fueled romance and yet when I mentioned I dropped them, I was deemed "too weak" to handle them. For them, rape equals passion, possession equals love. I mean there's even fetishes that celebrate blood letting and choking. The reporting is good IMHO , however most comments are criticizing the family for not defending KSR when she was Alive, especially looks like they knew about their relationship since KSH was in the military. Only when she passed away and incurred her debt that they are speaking out. Although the statement from KSR's mother did not specify wanting compensation, most commentors pointed out that the statement mentioned KSR being a founding member of Gold medalist. So to them, it looked like KSR's family wanted a cut if GM concedes to KSR being a founding member. They also pointed out that if KSR's family wanted justice, they should have gone to the court/police instead of this public airing of dirty laundry.
But I think that KSR's family has a better chance of going against KSH if this was made public. If they were to go the police, courts, they may have less grounds for conviction and therefore the issue may as well be swept under the rug. KSR's family is banking on public outcry to turn the tide in their favor.
The fear now is I guess that if KSR's family meets KSH/GM in private, would this be settled by good, ole moola. For KSR's sake, I hope not..

I get that many people who are saying that the rest of the cast and crew do not deserve to be included in the boycott since they are not the ones in the wrong BUT what they (the cast/crew) could do is to force the production company to remove KSH from any ongoing and new projects. If we can't do anything about his past projects, at least hopefully we can affect his new ones.
