I was smiling the whole 2nd episode, my cheeks hurt, but at the end I went 😐
I have mix feelings about how it went... 😅 I don't know... it just makes me worried.
The end of the episode was kind of a trail for me - make or break my hype. But I ended up with 50/50.

Still, I love how chill and normal the show is. I love Jong Chan. Congrtaz for showing that you can have a "cold" aka professional work focused boss that also has social skills and social awareness on a decent level. I liked how he is friendly after work with other employees. Like the drinking and how he just laughed it off and drank when the bff of Seung Hyun poured him another glass and went all " it's not the first time" 😂

no, he does not have to give ANY details. he could just say: I am not really interested in you. The issue is - he went into a detailed explanation of his behavior, which was all a lie 😅

Anyway, all we're doing here really is try to guess what really was on their minds. So of course this is all just our opinion hahaha. < same goes to you lol Chances are Youngjae did not care about hurting Soi's feelings at all and he just wanted to seem like a good and nice guy and keept that polite persona going ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we are all basing our opinions on our own perception of the situation. I can be wrong, you can be wrong.

There are 2 facts tho - Youngjae kept lying, Soi kept going after him even after so many hints. Both did wrong in my opinion. Like damn, during her first talk with Youngjae, he could say - I don't feel the same way about you. Instead he felt flustered because she confronted him about lying. He said he wants to talk with other people/everyone first, and she said if that was true I would be included. If he truly wanted to get to know everyone and then make a decision. But at that point already he was into Seo Eun and Seo Eun only. So why lie? He felt uncomfortable because she pointed out his bullshit vague answer.

I am 100% sure he just wanted to be nice and not hurt her feelings, but it's also a fact that him trying to be vague and polite did more damage than good. That's real life - good intentions don't always bring good results.

As I said, he did not own her explanation, but there is a difference between giving explanation and answering a question. He did not answer her question, but tried to explain himself by lying lol Giving an answer without explaining himself would he: I'm interested in Seo Eun and will focus on her. If he then proceed to explain how they clicked well together, how there is not much time so he wants to just talk with her - that would be unnecessary and explaining things he does not need to do. What he did, was a few minutes of explaining himself but with a lie, how he wants to get to know more people 😅

I don't think it's his job to protect her feelings either. Like, girl knows what she is doing. If she clearly asked, she obviously wants a clear answer. In this scenario they honestly both thought more about themselves than the other person. Youngjae did not want to feel uncomfortable about rejecting her, so he kept giving vague answers, while Soi knew he is not interested, but wanted a clear answer for her own peace of mind.

I don't think she was guilt-trippin him, she just wanted a clear answer to a straightforward question. But he kept avoiding giving said answer and lied each time (because come on, him saying he wants to get to know everyone was a lie, he had his eyes on Seo Eun since their date).

But then it all depends on how she will act now. If she stops focusing so much on Youngjae, then I'm okay with her. She got her clear rejection and made things 100% clear with him. If she would still try to sway him, that's when I will have an issue.

I honestly get why it was hard for Youngjae to reject Soi in a straightforward fashion, coz I'm like that too. That's the bad side of trying to be nice and polite. He did not want to reject her because it would hurt her feelings, but not rejecting her was also hurting her feelings. Some people are not good at reading "hints" and they need a clear rejection. Some people need it to fully give up and not overanalyze and have massive regrets for "giving up before they were even truly rejected".

For now I don't think neither Soi not Youngjae were awful. People (me included) said he should have rejected her from the start since he knew he only likes Seo Eun and is not interested in her. People said Soi should have gotten the hints. But it's not as easy.

Now I feel like all depends on how Soi will act. She got what she wanted - a clear answer. Which I get. Honestly, if I was asking a guy in a clear matter about his feelings, but he kept giving me a vague answers even tho we both know he knows how he feels, he just feels awkward about rejecting someone, I would be annoyed. While he is not responsible for her feelings, he is responsible for what he says. And when he kept saying he is here to get to know everyone, and he wants to talk with everyone first - that was simply a lie.

4 episodes in and damn this show is weirdly adorable even tho it has dark undertones.
Still I want some spice to that sugar, and I think the other female lead will bring it, but apparently I will have to wait quite a bit before she shows up 🥲

I really like this trio. Love how He Chu Feng is actually soft. Love that Luo Bin seems more collected than his hype personally presents and how Sui Yi is more mature than she initially seemed.

Luo Bin might be tiny, but he is also tight (abs wise... oof).

Love how aesthetically pleasing the show is and the pacing seems truly PERFECT. At least for the opening episodes. Can't wait to see more and can't wait for the last main character to show up!

i dropped it 20 episodes in, and then picked it up again as a 2nd chance project hahaha

she does not really give him hints tho.
Giving hints is more of what Jaeyoung did with Soi - he is not responsive to anything she does etc.
But Seulgi is responding well to everything Jungwoo does while in Inferno. Not once she hinted she is completely not interested in him. We know she is not interested because we compare it with how she acts around Youngjae. But Jungwoo does not see it. She said she is honest with how she feels, she can tell Jungwoo she is not interested in him like that if she is bothered by him. For me it's more about her playing it safe and having a B plan (like a lot of other contestants. Everyone who cares and wants to go to paradise and not end up solo at the end is a little bit calculative).

Honestly, when the girls were talking about their ideal types in episode 1, they all basically described Youngjae 😅

I honestly feel like Dongwoo, Soi and Youngjae and only ones who are more serious. Dongwoo seems more desperate than serious tho 😅 I feel like he wants a stable relationship the most.

The Youngjae and Soi went into it open to whatever is going to happen, and it happened they found someone they are interested in.

the rest seems to be here either for exposure or fun experience. Especially Jinyoung. I mean, this is not even his first dating show 🤣

She does not like guys who are too assertive in their feelings towards her. Like, she does mind Jongwoo because he is not as straightforward and obvious about his feelings. He just gives her a lot of space. + as many people said, guys being interested in her is probably a norm for her, so I don't think it even matter how Jinyoung looks like and how he is and what is his personality or hobby, she is into him because he does not show that much he is into her. Now I'm curious what she would do if he started to show more honest and open interest in her. Coz so far he is good at this push and pull.

He just put himself feeling uncomfortable about rejecting her over her feelings. It's not like he had to be dick about it and tell her to her face he is not interested in her. He just had to say whom he IS interested in. Same result - not giving her any hopes, but without the negativity behind it. But he kept "playing" nice which... in fact was not nice not wanting to directly reject her hoping she will just get the "hint". I believe he is nice, or at least he tries to be nice, but it's a bit superficial. He is more of a polite than nice person. Still like him a lot tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i love how they all go about how the fact they can't talk about their job and age limits their conversations SOOOO MUCH! OMFG don't they have hobbies? I think she is just completely okay with long distance relationship. It was obvious during her talk with both Dongwoo and Jin Young. She is fine with just seeing each other when she visits, she wants space and she wants someone who is able to focus on themselves too. Definitely something more casual.
