I honestly wish I had that level of love and excitement when I was watching it. Every time I talk with someone who loved NiF, they are always so happy and hyped about it, and sadly I don't share the sentiment :(

Great review tho. I especially like the fact you point out how the series focuses on the use of traditional chinese instrumentals over typical ost with vocals. Not all series need a full 20 songs ost. Sometimes just the instrumentals can bring so much more depth and emotions to the scenes.

Honestly, the managers or whoever goes around the street and seeing someone and having the thought "that's a future star" sound like they have some mad magic skills. Coz it;s obviously a lot of beautiful people, but not every beautiful person can be a star/idol/actor...

but often they just see and know.

I've been watching more and more Chinese production and he is showing up here and there. I'm liking is performances quite a lot, but damn I didn't even know he had a music career!

Hope writing small notes will help haha sometimes even one lines is enough to capture the feelings you have after watching an episode :)

honestly, I couldn't even see these actors and actresses as idols hahaha I'm so use to seeing them acting on screen, it's hard to even imagine them in different profession.

Good luck on your writing journey! At first it was kind of "scary" to review everything, especially since I watch quite a few dramas and movies in a year, but after a while it became routine :)

yes, the typos and grammatical mistakes will forever stay, no matter the number of re-reads hahaha still, it's better to try to minimize the number of them as much as possible hahah

Yeah, I dropped Suspicious Partner too. Nam Ji Hyun should try to play in a drama that has 0 romance in it. I think she would be great.

the tangerines were my fav part before I dropped. All the scenes that involved the tangerines were gold lol

I love you Jo, but that admirable character you are talking about literally hold hostage a family of his servant to make sure he will not betray him lol He was smart and good at planning, but admirable is a bit much hahahaha he did a lot of shady shit for the greater good, in my eyes someone like that should not be called admirable hahaha

the thing about "fancy vocabulary" is that it might "look professional" but it's not practical on a community made out of users with different degree of English skills, since not everyone is from English speaking country. If non native speakers have a problem with understanding a review coz of the choices of words in it, it's not that good. Sometimes keeping it simple is better, since it will be useful for more people :)

I said the fandom is overbearing, not necessarily that their comment is, tho they is part of the thing that bothered me in the first place. My comment was reply to their "Do you guys give Japanese dramas no chance because Korea over everything, or did you not find out yet?" part of the comment. Why I am reluctant to watch AiB. That I have other reasons to hesitate than "I only watch Korean show, and don't want to give Japanese ones chance".

Quote me, where did I say SH is better? Not once did I mention or compared AiB to SH. I stated why I am on the fence with starting AiB, completely separated to SH. Would appreciate if you stop adding some hidden meaning to my initial comment. I DID NOT defend SH. I never claimed it is better than AiB, since I have NOT seen AiB. Where do you get that from?
