I don't like it either. The FL is like some crazy-ass energizer rabbit on steroids. But I am passing time with…
My problem is the writing... most characters are poorly written and the plot is so convenient. It has "fanfic written by a 10 years old" quality to it. So many times I just felt like the show is for kids. That rather than 13 and older, it should say 13 and younger...

I didn't like it either. I just don't feel it. No chemistry between the leads. Wu xuanyi's acting skill is terrible.…
I feel the siblings chemistry, but because they pushed it so hard, I will never ever see them as romantic partners and it will creep me out so bad when it happens.
Honestly I don;t have much problem with anyone's acting, but rather with the writing of the show...

my masochist senses are tingling
the moment you feel any sympathy towards Hoon, it's game over and you start to feel more and more broken with each episode.

I feel like I'm in a tiny minority of people who don't like this show.
Each episode just leave me with more frustration.
That said, it is pretty. I love the costumes and overall the visual aspect of how the characters are styled and presented.

Review 18 Again
I agree. There were a lot of unnecessary scenes. The series could still be understood without those.
exactly. The problem with k-dramas lately is that they try to fit too many genres and plot lines into one show (to make them interesting for wider audience), but at the end nothing is truly developed and it becomes a bit of a mess...

honestly, this and TharnType are two dramas I forced myself to finish just so I could write reviews for them and…
oh i could not just ignore the shitty portray of any psychological related aspects in it. like sure, the cute scene from Type and Tharn were cute later on, but it was not enough for me to enjoy the show overall.

Same here, the cute scenes between mains after they got together were cute, but it was all surrounded by trash.

MBTI was derived from Carl Jung's theory of Cognitive Functions. In his theory, we have four main functions: the…
MBTI is not a reliable test. It's based on the theory that was never practically proven and tested. The MBTI tests themselves were never validated and normalized for the population. It's fun to do, but it has little to do with scientific research and overall science. It meets exactly zero criteria to be used as a psychological test or questionnaire.

And even for the sake of argument say it is validated and makes sense, the result still tells you nothing. the E means nothing. How extroverted someone is? Is he barely above average, or is he a strong extrovert (which would be indicated as 9 or 10 sten in actual psychological tests). Two people who have the same result (let's say ENTJ) can be far from alike, coz even tho they both are "above average" in the measured traits, we still don't know how strongly they present in their behavior.

I wish we, as BL fans, would have higher standards lol
I just don't get why they didn't keep it simple with just the romance and running, and added the debt that was useless and took away the screen time from the boys together. sometimes keeping it simple is the way to get high quality, especially with a short series like that

reviews have nothing to do with it. Users who have never written any have stars next to their names. There are also "older" user than me without stars, and newer users than me with.

On feeds we tried many different theories on what stars are, but nothing made sense.

I just love how calm the directing was in this drama. Sometimes going simple is the right way, and I am so happy they didn't try to overcomplicate shots with some random weird "aesthetic" angles etc.

This is THE FIRST BL that made me interested in the side plot that was not related to the romance itself (aka what the heck happened in the bar) lol This is for sure my favorite K-BL.

I get it makes sense taking into consideration plot for episode 2, but the scene is a random addition to last episode in season 1. I think they should have had the dad either show up or was mention in the previous episodes, even for few seconds.

Comparing the dad showing up in the last episode to hint the plot for season two with Shou Yi and Zhen Xuan almost crossing paths in last episode. One was done well (we saw some hints and back ground story of Shou Yi and Zhen Xuan throughout the whole show) and one was done poorly: the dad was not in the picture at all, and out of the blue we have a dad that might be controling to the point of breaking up his son's relationship.

it still was random coz it came out of nowhere. They should have introduce the dad few episodes earlier. Him showing up for one scene was random in terms of pacing and how the rest of the episode was presented. it's like they had this idea "oh shit, we need to hint the dad might not be that happy about the relationship" and they added one scene for it. It should be more gradual.
