searching for seratonin, but mostly overfilling on dopamine

Don't take my ratings seriously. No, seriously. They're a random chronology of my growth in personality, taste, and intellect spanning the delicate decades of adolescence to adulthood. I can't tell you how revolutionary Healer was when I first watched it but I can hardly say it'd get the same adulation at this grown age. And so I've abstained from rewatching in the hopes of preserving the shrine of devotion that my inner child built of JiChangWook at 15. (He still fine asf though.) And so that 9 star rating forever remains...

Does it affect the integrity of my ratings? Well, the methodology is questionable. But there's beauty in that too, no? Everything's subjective, objectivity is a myth - yk, all that good shit.

So what are the true standouts in my watchlist that I can stand behind regardless of years declined or advanced? One's that might even shed some good lighting on the type of media consumer breed that I am and if we're of the same kin? It was heinously difficult to pick top 5 but there we have it. The culmination of my KDrama personality test. I wonder what it says about me... (Feel free to hmu if you've got thoughts.) What I think it says about me:

1. I love a good gothic subtext (heavy psychosociological themes, plus points if it's wrapped in a wretched aesthetic)

2. My favorite AO3 tag is Hurt/Comfort and Found Family

3. You'll probably catch my whip with a "Everything is political" bumper sticker

4. If the MC is autistic or neurodivergent coded, it's wraps. I'm para-socialing to the utmost degree.
