I can understand why ML had to supress his emotions since childhood to survive slavery, war, starvation, torture... But, now that he is starting to feel love, he is becoming more and more human and less and less a killing machine.
So to be honest, I see 1 victim of slavery on the road for redemption, and 1 son of a slave-master who is seeking power to continue to abuse in the name of a so-called love which is more like obsession to me.
