It's kinda creepy also, like they are not emotional crying but you just see tears randomly rolling down.

It's one of those series where I wouldn't even mind if there is no romance. Also, I actually like the random comedy (as they don't overdo it), without that the story has a certain eerie vibe to it.

I'm on episode 3 now. It really feels like an adventure friendship anime to me rather than romance.
I like it but I hope it won't be episodic where they only go solving one case after another.

What happened to him? TMOPB was such a hit but he didn't seem to ride the popularity wave. I wished he got casted more.

I just want to say GongJun is a good actor. He was great in Rising with the Wind and Begin Again.

That was a great ep1. If they continue like this, it'a gonna be great.
I can't quite explain it but it feels really unique and refreshing.
Maybe the soundtrack or the way the camera pans and the action scenes, it gives a modern feel. It's also giving anime vibes with like how OP the main lead is, and also the off beat comedy.
Anyway, on to ep2!!

I guess to each their own, to me that doesn't constitute a complex character. Not enough logic to kill 100,000 people and your brother.

I think so far for me not enough backstory was revealed that I can say he's complex.
He himself said he was not mistreated growing up. It was only his own insecurity and greed.
I gave him initial plus points when in the earlier eps he doesn't really intend to kill his brother, like maybe there is some sort of complex emotion between them. But right now, he just straight up want to butcher him. Somehow cartoonish for me.
But yes, the actor is good.

So far really enjoying this. ML and FL had good chemistry and story progress.
If there's one thing I do not like is that outside the maincouple, the subplots and secondary characters are not so interesting.
The CrownPrince is kinda one dimensional, his scenes are just annoying. Wish he was written a bit like how LuoYunxi's character in AoL.
Hostage Prince, we still yet to know what he'll be. But I'm again not a fan of overly simping on FL over a memory from 10yrs ago.
The Emperor and XiYan princess, I don't even know what to feel about it. It's wholesome but icky.

Finally caught up with all episodes and then only decided to watch the trailer.
Seems like we're in for a ride.
I gotta agree that it went kinda mild after ep1, but it pulled me back in by ep13. It shed a lot of layer into the characters and I now start to truly root for them.

Started this with no clue or expectation and yes, episode 1 started with a bang and then went mild.
But I'd say ep13 onwards hooked me back in again. I guess give it a chance til then, if still not feeling it then maybe it's not for you.

Yep, he's a good actor. But part of me wish they casted an equally goodlooking actor as the ML to atleast even out the playing field. As shallow as that sound lol
Like in Ashes of Love for example.

I somehow feel bad for the Crown Prince actor, he's already got an unlikeable character and on top the ML is just too damn good looking in comparison. He'd likely get no sympathy from the audience, sad backstory or not.

Ep 8. Can someone explain what Shumo was still doing? I thought having the sister marry the Emperor and the 100 beauties meant the Hostage Prince is now free to go. Why did he need to continue dealing illegally?
