It is his voice
Ahh okay haha
I guess I'll get used to it as the episodes progress.

I've really liking episode 1, but the dubbing(?) feels off to me.
Is that the ML's real voice? I'm used to dubbing in Cdramas but this one doesn't sound natural at all. If I close my eyes, it doesn't sound as menacing (as I feel like they intended it to be), rather like someone with speech slur/disability.haha Also it is not synchronized with the actor's lip movement.
Other than that, amazing ep1!

I have a question about Go Ahead. I'm asking in this comment section since most of the fans are here. Why did…
Also in Go Ahead, it's a crucial scene. That establishes pretty early on that ML, despite being really close, still sees FL as a girl. Whereas 2nd ML doesn't see FL that way and considers them siblings.

I'm not even a fan of cooking shows but I really like this. I'm not gonna dwell on whether it was rigged or not, the earlier challenges (specially the literal blind tasting) looks fair to me. If there is one stage that I feel the production may have rigged it, it is the "Cook your Life" challenge, probably they had to ensure atleast one from Black Spoon is in the finals. Too much advantage gained from that immunity.

Anyhow, it was fun. I love that this show did not create any drama, they could have had content for that with the tension during team challenges, but rather they focused on the cooking. Kudos for that! And the editing is really funny in a subtle way.
All of the Chefs are quite likeable, it's just too bad that Matfia's little trash-talking didn't translate well (with good reason) to the public because his fellow Chefs are basically too nice and humble.
My favorites are Chef Lee, Chef Maniac (if stress was a person lol), Chef Choi (so cocky yet so humble), Self-Made Chef and Triple Star. They are so anime character coded haha.
And honestly, it would have been perfect if it was Triple Star who made it to the finals.
Hope they do a season 2.
And I hope no scandal shows up that will tarnish the feel good vibes it left (yes, I'm having a flashback from Physical 100 scandals lol).

It's kind of unfair, especially in restaurant competitions. I thought the winner would be determined by the most…
Does each mukbang customers have 1million limit? I think I missed that. If they do, I personally think that it makes it fair. Part of the challenge is to see their business strategy too, that's why they had to come up with unique menu names that will make the customers curious. If customers have limited funds, then they will have to carefully choose between ordering more of the cheaper dishes or spending on less but expensive dishes.
I actually thought it was unfair because customers didn't have fund limit.

I've seen the original so there is lesser impact with the twist.
It's overall good though.
On the other hand, what felt off for me was the setting. I wonder why they didn't just make it pure China? the poor acting from the local actors and the on/off English lines were distracting.

I am 27 minutes in but I think I will drop it. while the story seems intriguing the fl is just too much. I can’t…
finish it and all your questions will all be answered.

I'm on ep1 and I'm wondering wouldn't it be easier to just sweep the anchovies towards the sea.
Or is picking the anchovies just a made up task for the show?

Title Eat Run Love
Just saw the trailer and loving the vibes. I like that it doesn't give that cringey feels like majority of modern Cdramas.

Lighter & Princess really set the bar high, I'm a bit scared for the FL haha

So excited for this to air.

honestly disappointing. it felt like the writer didn't know what to do with the story after season1.
season2&3 are a whole lot of pointless storylines.
I carried on with the episodes thinking there will be a payoff towards the end, but it continued to be a let down. it was a mess.

-too many pointless characters. I did care for the Crow Platoon but were the other characters necessary. Like Father Peter and that girl, so much nonsense. Too many other pointless things and characters I just won't enumerate.

-MH1 was an ick. his character was not consistent, memory loss or not. would have been better if they just made it into a new character instead of I-Kyung's husband.

-Monster child plot is also so lame.

- The neohuman idea was kinda good but I think not executed well.

- too maaaany plotholes.

The lack of real plot and goal wasted the potential that season1 established.

it felt like they lacked creativity this season with the monsters. Why do you have a bunch that look like Decepticons? Season 1 have better monsters.

I need answers to:when do they go back to the present?at what episode does it actually get better?how many break…
I'd say around ep7 or 8 it gets interesting. And as to jump to the present iirc it's around 20+ episode.

one of my all time favorites. I'm rewatching it again from ep1 today with the Netflix version (better subs).
It still holds true that I haven't found a new drama that made me feel as hooked as when this was airing , and that was 2 yrs ago!! says a lot about how good this show was.

the only people who don't like it are :
a)those who are curious about the 'hype' around this show and came with very high and judgy expectations that nitpicks everything. Or those who can't accept the high rating and downvotes aggressively.

b)those who interpreted it differently and finds the ML toxic. I can write an essay to dispute this lol but that's just how we all have differrent preference and interpretation of a character

c)those who judge it too early. I myself admit that ep1 got me curious but early episodes of their college life felt like 1000other teen romance, I was only half watching it then. I promise you it gets better! but if you don't feel it/the spark till ep7 or 8, it's probably not for you. For me, the adult arc was the better portion. definitely not your fluffy romance.

d)those who are not ready for a rollercoaster of emotion. there are ongoing arcs and struggle in this story and it not the normal feel good slice of life. if not in the mood for this, I can get how you will find this draining.

to me this is still one of the best modern Cdrama. Well written characters, a clear story line, no over the top comedy, matured dialogue, natural progression of a relationship . And specially no cringe at all, which one of my issue with most modern cdramas

Kinda hate Deng Lun for letting greed destroy his own career.
I read into this issue and I'm not sure how reliable the sources are but here was the take.
The unpaid taxes was only a small portion, it was said that it was his accountant who made the mistake. I'm not saying DengLun is free from fault, but it does kinda make sense, if you're paying huge amount already, why try to save on a small amount and risk getting blacklisted.
But as we know, Chinese government is very unforgiving but it's not like it's impossible. I was kinda hoping Denglun will bounce back, other than the tax case he has a pretty good image. But it seemed he made no effort to go back and just simply retired.
Makes me also wonder if there is more to this than just the tax evasion.

btw, I wonder how Dylan feels. I've always put Dylan, WuLei and FeiYu in the same bracket. Both WuLei and FeiYu were now paired with ReBa, and it's funny because it's Dylan who has the biggest crush on ReBa haha

also curious now if there will be kiss scenes in this one. IIRC, Reba feels uncomfortable with intimate scenes with the age gap.

I gasp when I saw this one is official. My Chen FeiYu is back, I've only seen him in Lighter & Princess and I think he's very natural and talented. He didn't deserve all the hate and scandal thrown at him.
And Reba has always been one of my favorites.

But I'm telling you, I'm scared.. because all of the dramas that were hyped and I was excited for the pairing these past year had been a disappointment.

Not even good actors can save an awful script. Please please please let this be a good story. 🙏🏻

The time travel rules for this drama is they do not create alternate timelines. It is one line but with loops.…
Agree. I also don't think it's just summoning like a wish. I believe it's either his consciousness or he was physically transported to alternate dimension of a specific time and space (much like how his dad see the gray version), only difference is he's able to freely choose what he can 'grab' with him back to the present. This is more believable explanation on how a 4year old is able to manifest in the burning building.
