LOL Dad is getting scammed too and doesn't even realise yet.
And I love that Team Scammer have been showing their humanity so lately. I think only the Scammer Mom is still a mystery to me. I still can't tell if she genuinely cares for DaHee or not. Sometimes she looks like she does, but making her have two fake marriages and basically selling herself really crossed the line.

I'm really liking this show! I must say the first episode felt off and strange, but I'm glad they really established the tone for this drama early on. Once you accepted that this is not your typical romcom, and that the characters are grey (even borderline unlikeable) you will start enjoying this drama's quirkiness.

what's up with all these crazy comments? and what do people mean that LYN is not supporting this?
am I the only one who remembers their pairing in The Long Ballad? they had very good chemistry and that was the first drama where I've seen them and was impressed by their acting (even as supporting character). So their reunion is something I have always looked forward to.

Admittedly, the synopsis here doesn't sound very interesting. But I've realized based on the hundred dramas that came out, it's always the one with weird or boring storylines that often becomes a pleasant surprise.

I'm struggling to continue with the frustration this brings out in me.
That lady police is so frustrating, she's so cocky, annoying and dumb.
She's so obsessed with Su-in even though at one point they had a bunch of parasytes she could have captured if she wants a hunting dog. She's always acting like 'yeah! I'm so cool and chill', but her skills and rationale are so lame. If they toned down the smugness it would have been a bit bearable.
I'm on episode 5 and I also still couldn't connect with FL.
The only likeable character so far is KangWoo.
This doesn't have the 'genius' story telling and character building as the original manga author. Maybe mangaka really had zero input in this.

Guess they didn't really grasp the whole meaning of it or they'd rather want fleeting happiness than an everlasting…
yeah, 84 is a good age to pass. Not many, even those without prior health issues, are able to reach that. We don't expect them to be immortal do we πŸ˜‚

I know. I mean she lived more than 80 years. It's actually really good and satisfying ending.
exactly. it's the happiest ending that the writer can give.

why are people upset about that scene? haha
I actually like it. Otherwise, I would have worried her illness came back after a few years (which is more realistic). That scene was an assurance of a lasting happy ending.

Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
just finished watching the last episode. can someone explain the ending bit to me please? about the grandpa in…
Yes, it was Hyunwoo.
HaeIn lived a long life and died at 84yrs old. It was a happy ending. Meaning her illness did not come back and she lived a long life

Park JiEun (writer) skills were definitely overestimated specially with all those predictions about Eunsoong's paternity. Makes me wonder if she gave up on her story halfway thru.
is this a 'masterpiece'? I don't think so.
But it did made me laugh and made cry. Therefore I think it is still a good drama.

I think the major reason why people criticise this is because the writing on the earlier episodes was really impeccable, but it fell flat later on. Had it started at the same 'level' as the later episodes, I would not have expected too much and just turn off logic and just enjoyed it.
But in general, it's still a good drama worth watching!

Opinions vary, but I consider it the happiest of all possible happy endings and definitely, positively NOT a sad…
exactly. people keep saying it's for realism, but I think it's the opposite, the writer gave them a fairytale ending. If they didn't show that scene, you would have doubts whether Hae-in's illness relapse after some time (which is more realistic). With that ending, you got an assurance that she lived a full and long life.

At this point, Hyunwoo can die and resurrect back to life and I won't even be surprised.
This drama stretches conflicts that could have been solved by common sense while conveniently wrapping up story arcs that should have been given more details.
I say this for all the writer's drama, she has talent in making iconic scenes and playing with emotions, but as a whole, her stories do not flow smoothly and rarely logical. There is a certain aspect of imbalance.
This is now subject to personal taste. For some, being iconic and focusing on the feelings the drama made you feel is enough. But for other viewers like myself, I like to rate a drama on the totality of the story. I would say I enjoyed parts of it, but I don't think this will be included in my favorites.

I think this will have a happy ending. It already crossed a lot of ridiculous plot devices. At this point, anything goes (even supernatural lol), so there's really no sense to give this a sad ending. I'm honestly kinda disappointed with later episodes, ruined an otherwise good show.

Pls pls pls be good! πŸ™
last time I was so excited for Reba&GongJun but their drama did not meet expectation even though they're both (plus the director) are big names already.
I know YangMi is a top star and can pull big production budget so I can't help but still have some expectations for this. 🀞✨️

eyyyyy..that was so predictable that I'm slightly disappointed.
I know it was supposed to be an intense scene but I laugh out loud when Hae-in came out with perfect hair after a BRAIN SURGERY! haha

Is this really good? Because I'm on ep1 and her reaction after waking up in the past is so cringe. I don't expect her actions to be too realistic, but still......

Person Park Bo Gum
It felt like he lost momentum because of bad drama choices. I wish he experiments and take darker roles, I remember that one scene where he played mafia and he was so good.

Because I watched the original amazing dramaScarlet Heart (2011) (Chinese versionβ€”Bu Bu Jing Xin), I just cannot…
I can't get past the hairstyle in the original version, as shallow as that sounds.
