I just realized the Director is behind some of the Taiwanese drama classics. No wonder there is a certain feel to L&P, the intimacy between the characters felt more natural and realistic compared to common Cdramas.

My tiktok is still full of L&P edits.

I must say I know the fan favorite scene by now, the most edited clip is that of LiXun drinking beer and gazing at ZhuYun. 💕

He's always excellent in everything he does and does matured roles very well, but they hold him back when it comes to intimate scenes.

I love them both, but I gotta admit even on Begin Again I always thought YuTong looks matured for her age.
As of now they look more like siblings to me. I'm looking forward to changing my view when this airs.

I love LBFAD but if I'm honest it's greatest pull for me is DFQC's character.
With L&P it's a combination of a lot of factors, I like not just LiXun but ZhuYun equally, plus the story is really excellent.😊

There's a bit of misunderstanding in the beginning (ML thought FL moved on with another guy), but it got cleared up early on.
I don't know if it classifies as angsty, they were kinda clear about their feelings it's just that they never explicitly say (until later on) that they wanna get back together. So no, it's not a drama with misunderstanding where they back and forth hurt each other and regret.
This couple is actually unique, they are very straight forward and non dramatic when they're together.

Yes. It's understandable in the beginning, I kinda felt bad for him. But really went overboard later on. His grievances in the early on would never justify all the bad things he did later on.

I can officially say this is the best drama of the year!! I'm sorry DFQC, I still love you 😂, but I gotta he honest, L&P and LiXun wins.💕

And this is definitely one of my all time favorites now.
I wonder, I truly wonder when is the next time I will feel this way again for another drama.
I've gotten so picky over the past years.

I hope he gets paired with Reba soon, if WuLei can, he definitely can too. I can't imagine how excited he will be then haha
Maybe Reba will agree to a kiss scene given he's not a teen (unlike with WuLei where he was still a teen when they shot Long Ballad).

Thanks. Glad they addressed the Gao/ZY 'scandal' again. This gave the story a more realistic touch.

Btw, I really think of the novel of L&P as a separate story.
I tried it, but the writing felt kinda 'wattpad juvenile', if you get what I mean. Novel script sound too forced on trying to make the characters edgy and cool.
I wished I never knew of the novel's existence haha
But I guess it can't be helped if you hang around MDL page, somebody's bound to point out things from it.

For me it reminded me of that time I read "Time Traveller's Wife". I carried that heavy feeling for some days or even weeks.
And also recently when I read AoT (manga) ending.
I don't know why these things affect me much. I like when things are realistic and logical, there should be struggles BUT the end should always be happy. I watch and read fiction for that reason lol
