Yeahā¦heās a user/sponge. He is someone with Poverty Entitlement. The type that will continuously use their poor upbringing to excuse their bad/evil behaviours or their lack of fortuneā¦they will never truly appreciate the blessings in front of them because whatever they have is never good enoughā¦will use any shortcuts to feel a sense of achievement & thinks that everyone owes them. That mentality is self tortureā¦failing to see the value in themselves with self pity.
FL paved the way for Chen Zhe for 20 yrs to be happy but he chose the shortcut to fortune & risked loosing his soul.

We knew he could win her over eventually before any physical contact but I didnāt expect it to happen on the very next ep.
Still glad it happened cause it would mean we get 5 eps of them being together.
No wonder why the writing is goodā¦.the screenwriter most likely wrote from experience.
But this got me thinking thoughā¦these dramas often have highly focused workaholics & overachievers everywhere š it makes one thinks that they like to exaggerate. But here is a screen writer that also has published workā¦that is also a Lawyer & appears on tv shows. Impressive.

This was right before she told him that she will punish him by never seeing him again. That he needed to see the consequences of doing something wrong. The ties & infos of him was pretty much cut off till a year later in the last ep. Daughter was determined.

Hmmm I donāt remember this š I do remember that she won her biggest case in ep 1 that awarded her client over 100 billion won or something. And as she was praised for bringing in a lot of money she mentioned she was only doing it to increase & promote the Divorce team profits to get recognition. -And midway of drama when they were talking abt the memorandum (MOU)ā¦it was mentioned that cooperate civil & construction cases were the cashflow of the firm. This was discussed at length with shareholders & Department Managers.
It by no means indicated that Divorce team donāt profitā¦they make a lot if not the best for their specialityā¦it just not enough big cases (or like FL mentioned- return cases) to compete with the other Department. Well at least thatās my understanding from the dramaā¦wouldnāt mind re-watching sometime soon to better understand š Iāll admit I donāt remember much else in ep 1
The romance dramas Iāve seen Choi Si Won in as MLā¦.he never really has chemistry with his co-stars. š« Not even saying that because of SMLā¦I get he is very beautiful to look at & he is protective while falling hard for FL but it shouldnāt be reason enough to force a love story on a one sided love. She never once initiated anything romantic to make ppl dislike her for not choosing himā¦on her part there was nothing to choose from to begin with- to her he is her family.
Hope the 2nd half will bring something betterā¦at least the MLās indifference to FL is explained nowā¦.he likes her but doesnāt want to step further because he knew how she felt abt DNA matching. He knows he is screwed because her feelings for him started from that jerseyā¦so he probably thinks her feelings for him arenāt real.
