I dropped this drama twice on the first ep...mainly because of the leads.
This year I was bored and decided to give it ago....their chemistry got me finishing both series within 5 days!
ML is now on my look out for list..love him

Judging from your list & rating of past dramas I think you’ll love it.
Although FL acting can be questioned here & there but you’ll probably forget that soon enough since her chemistry with ML is undeniably good.
Besides he’s a dream boat the longer you watch!
Like me I prefer my romance more towards the serious department with a few but good comedy.... but the comedy in this drama was actually good since most contributed to form the serious romance

Got recommended this after watching Ming Lan & now finally have the time for a 60 ep drama.
Definitely saw big differences with the 2 dramas...like although FLs are smart, the one here is not scheming for Justice whatsoever..which in my opinion is such a waste.
I do like that she’s so pure in heart but she was too righteous a character for such a plot.
But that doesn’t take away the satisfaction of her wins over the enemies.
If you’re after romance then don’t go in with high expectations.
Although the whole plot drives around the love the ML has for FL, it’s all in words in a smartly acted out plot.
I mean we hear it, we see it in their actions and we believe their love but we didn’t witness it in any physical interactions.
Heck I just watched their love unfold in 60 episodes yet never saw them kissed or walk holding hands lol
So their chemistry are only in their words.
Can’t say I didn’t enjoy this but I think I probably would rate it more if I didn’t go in comparing it to dramas like Story of Ming Lan,
where you don’t see much kisses but throughly enjoyed romance/ chemistry between leads and not to mention the smart leads plotting & traps was not always so righteous to give the bad guys what they really deserve.
I do recommend it though since I finish this drama light hearted at some good lessons it gave out.
Something I would watch with the kids

If she were to become Queen and she’s a mother of a prince & is highly favoured then the party against her will feel threaten and may try to kill her son to keep the crown prince in power.
And the opposition party will support her son for their own gain & will try to kill the crown prince so that the king can appoint a new heir.
As long as she’s the Queen then they can be certain that they can kill one brother to make the other King.
And like it was mentioned in the drama...a party will only risk their lives to commit such a crime if they are supporting the Queen.

Yes seen both but have to admit they would both be rated 1 in comparison to Ming Lan in my books to be honest.
In Lu Zheng she just started off & I adore how cute she was acting but saw the potential and for sure she’s now one of China’s top actress.
I’ve seen 90% of your drama list so I think you like similar in the sense that chemistry is a must in a good plot... if you like having the good guys always winning, bad guys getting their just deserts & strong ML that has power that scares ppl but soft & helpless with FL then give a go.
Just a heads up that the first 20 episodes the leads don’t show interests to each other...but later you will understand why :)

Different reasons but the plotting is just as interesting as Nirvana....FL & ML are both schemers but different style of plotting.
But both together is the same style as in Nirvana.

I agree that it’s definitely not for everyone.
The only drama I know that was in this type of times and the ML refused every consorts because he loves the FL is The Story of Ming Lan.
If you haven’t watched it then you should give it a try.
Slow start but the romance:chemistry is so so very worth it once they get together.
Just had a look at your list too and I think you’ll love it...read the reviews and you’ll understand why.
They are my top drama couple..not to mention they met and got married afterwards

I’m all for romantic chemistry between leads but honestly didn’t find that here...their friendship chemistry though was on point, so the title was spot on.
In the end I found the other couples here had more romance than the leads.
Here was a plot based around real estate and although I’ve enjoyed some past plots based on an industry I don’t find interesting, I just thought the character placement was wrong for this one considering every conversation revolved around work.
It was too much talk of it.
I probably wouldn’t find it so boring if at least one of the main leads had more control, power or influence within the industry, or even see more longing between the leads.
Only ML was invested throughout....as for FL, she LITERALLY saw him as a brother/friend till those last few episodes.
ML was rich but portrayed too helpless & naive...and even his supposedly powerful father was easily schemed against by anyone.
I love good kind characters but just had to roll my eyes at how nearly everyone here were way too righteous.....especially when the main thing I liked about this drama to start with was because of its realistic plot in the beginning.
If you’re after romance, I suggest you skip this drama...if you’re after something dramatic with plot thrills then I suggest you also skip.
But if you like to enjoy a plot about Real estate & see great friendship and not worry about stressing over a drama then this will be an easy watch for you.
Let me just finish by saying that although this drama isn’t my type it doesn’t mean it was bad overall....it does make you feel good to remind you how one should live a happy life.

So much fluffiness....after watching some intense dramas, I stumbled on this one on YouTube and somehow kept watching it till the end. lol
I guess I needed the break cause it’s not at all my usual type of watch.
Light, first romance with cute interactions. Cute cast & very simple plot.
I actually liked it...I hope I get to see them in a few years in a more adult romance drama, either together or in their own seperate shows cause I can certainly see them there.

I wonder if she’s in a serious relationship??.. she always plays a role in a romance genre yet the drama itself always has little romantic interaction involve.
Ppl go in expecting a lot & come out disappointed.

She needs to work & Feature in a serious romance drama... I’ve seen a lot of actors & actress that were good but never acknowledged by the public till they all of sudden do a full romance drama.
Pretty much nearly all the famous/top stars finally made their breakthrough playing such a role in the past...and once their fame was established they then continued on to play roles they really preferred...
Besides she’s got the looks that ppl expect serious romance

I read online that the production crew actually had the special edition series (Happy) as Ep36 the actual ending...but they end it at Ep 35 and sold the last episode seperately for more $$$.

Never heard of him till this drama and I thought how was that even possible not to have seen him before since his performance was A grade in my books......He’s now on my list to look out for!
I’m not a fan of good looking young boys playing manly position roles especially in an army.... but after 5 mins I just thought the role became him.
He combined sexiness, charisma, manly as well as a fluffy romantic so well together it was all credits to him as an actor.

I absolutely hate & avoid sad endings even dramas with alternative endings but I found original script (Ep 35) not bad at all since the special series flawlessly continued the story as if it was Ep 36 to its actual happy ending. :)

Thanks for the heads up...was gonna give this a try (running out of things to watch) but the things I hate most in any drama are clueless or helpless leads and feeling frustrated throughout!
