wow 4th time?? then it must be good... i also skip when watching too long i just go for main lead.. but is it…
Yes....there’s a lot of chemistry in the way he looks at her & jealousy from his side and efforts to understand or make her happy. And her progress in realising it. Also a fan fav is that he always protects her emotionally & physically...you’ll know what I mean when you watch it. Top it off is that good twist in the end will defitnily get you to rewatched it!
I only felt it was a bit forced on her side...for him it’s different considering he’s pretty much watched her from afar for years. But then again on her defence it could be that she’s just like most ppl that makes spontaneous decisions or immediate connections when vulnerable (when she lost all hope believing her mum was killed by rouge detective) ...and especially when she knows that the only other person she can turn to & understand her grief was him.
This drama is so frustrating to me. I love both Lee Joon Gi and Seo Ye Ji but I am in episode 6 and it is SO disappointing…
That’s weird...I got the opposite vibe...but then again I don’t watch many “Korean law” genres drama from a lawyer point of view. Still that little that I know made this drama makes sense for me. But perhaps I get it...I’ve often felt let down on a good high rated drama with a genre I’m highly familiar with simply because i know it & so take the plot seriously. I suppose each to their own ..but I do agree with the accent though lol
Wow! As someone that takes romance as a priority in my dramas I was actually pleasantly surprised in how hooked I was to this one! Don’t get me wrong...the Leads’ romance was a good watch but I found myself enjoying the undertaking of revenge/justice even more. So what if some parts are a bit predictable like some reviews mentioned?...at least the predictable parts was fun to watch. So what if some plots & characters were a bit clueless??...if you don’t take it too seriously, you’ll realised that in real life & under some circumstances that it’s understandable & very possible to be clueless. Another highlight for me is that this show is one of those rare ones where you want the bad guys to pay for their unforgivable crimes since their reasons of committing them were very selfish, yet I could not bring myself to hate them lol Although I would have given this drama a 9 overall which is usually my highest for dramas I enjoyed...I decided in the end that it deserves a 10 since its rare that I never hit that skipping button, that I got hooked on more than 2 genres plus the fact that every character here was a good watch and not to mentioned that I can’t seem to have enough of them! I definitely need another for more!!!
This drama felt like it was written by 2 different writers....it started as a fluffy, cheerful & youthful romance plot all through out then Bam!....just like that it turned into a melodrama. There’s was no warning at all. While I was scratching my head in shock, just seconds later the plot took a serious turn. I’ll admit that I needed something light to watch for now, so yeah was just chilling watching it...but those last 5 episodes although felt rushed on one hand, it did got me paying real attention trying not to miss the crazy direction the writers were aiming for. Although I disapproved of some of the plot decisions that were made, I actually liked that type of serious development it took the characters towards. Yes..especially preferred the matured ML version over his immature but cute younger self. If there is a season 2 that continues from those last episodes...minus that annoying Shen character...then I’ll definitely book it in for a watch! Either way I’m happy with its ending here.
I watched the first two episodes but then I ended up dropping this drama because it seemed boring and i couldn't…
I dropped this drama twice on the first ep...mainly because of the leads. This year I was bored and decided to give it ago....their chemistry got me finishing both series within 5 days! ML is now on my look out for list..love him Keep watching...I’m sure you’ll love it by ep 11
I'm on the first episode (still 5 minute to be exact, which is very beginning) of this drama, but.. is this worth…
Judging from your list & rating of past dramas I think you’ll love it. Although FL acting can be questioned here & there but you’ll probably forget that soon enough since her chemistry with ML is undeniably good. Besides he’s a dream boat the longer you watch! Like me I prefer my romance more towards the serious department with a few but good comedy.... but the comedy in this drama was actually good since most contributed to form the serious romance
I absolutely loved Dong Yi and how she utilized her smarts but her naivety and blind trust in everyone frustrated…
Right....preferred the way she was when she was young. She did right with her innocent little schemes. Like stealing the little cakes for the deserving winners
Got recommended this after watching Ming Lan & now finally have the time for a 60 ep drama. Definitely saw big differences with the 2 dramas...like although FLs are smart, the one here is not scheming for Justice whatsoever..which in my opinion is such a waste. I do like that she’s so pure in heart but she was too righteous a character for such a plot. But that doesn’t take away the satisfaction of her wins over the enemies. If you’re after romance then don’t go in with high expectations. Although the whole plot drives around the love the ML has for FL, it’s all in words in a smartly acted out plot. I mean we hear it, we see it in their actions and we believe their love but we didn’t witness it in any physical interactions. Heck I just watched their love unfold in 60 episodes yet never saw them kissed or walk holding hands lol So their chemistry are only in their words. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy this but I think I probably would rate it more if I didn’t go in comparing it to dramas like Story of Ming Lan, where you don’t see much kisses but throughly enjoyed romance/ chemistry between leads and not to mention the smart leads plotting & traps was not always so righteous to give the bad guys what they really deserve. I do recommend it though since I finish this drama light hearted at some good lessons it gave out. Something I would watch with the kids
Anyone know why she doesnt want to become queen . How is this protecting both princes??? Also how and why is the…
If she were to become Queen and she’s a mother of a prince & is highly favoured then the party against her will feel threaten and may try to kill her son to keep the crown prince in power. And the opposition party will support her son for their own gain & will try to kill the crown prince so that the king can appoint a new heir. As long as she’s the Queen then they can be certain that they can kill one brother to make the other King. And like it was mentioned in the drama...a party will only risk their lives to commit such a crime if they are supporting the Queen.
Knowing some history made me love her decision in the end....her not being empress gives her the freedom to still…
Yes seen both but have to admit they would both be rated 1 in comparison to Ming Lan in my books to be honest. In Lu Zheng she just started off & I adore how cute she was acting but saw the potential and for sure she’s now one of China’s top actress. I’ve seen 90% of your drama list so I think you like similar in the sense that chemistry is a must in a good plot... if you like having the good guys always winning, bad guys getting their just deserts & strong ML that has power that scares ppl but soft & helpless with FL then give a go. Just a heads up that the first 20 episodes the leads don’t show interests to each other...but later you will understand why :)
i really like the plotting and all the schemes in Nirvana In Fire, If i really liked Nirvana In Fire. will i also…
Different reasons but the plotting is just as interesting as Nirvana....FL & ML are both schemers but different style of plotting. But both together is the same style as in Nirvana. I LOVE both but defitnily leaning more this drama as it covers more my style & H ending
Paranoid mad man is the better description.
And her progress in realising it.

Did you perhaps wrote a similar comment on another drama? Maybe The General’s Lady?
This year I was bored and decided to give it ago....their chemistry got me finishing both series within 5 days!
