LOL I did this! I was so scared that I read all the recaps till the end... and then I finally got up the courage…
Don't push yourself. If you're young or can't stand gore, don't. However amazing the drama is, it's still quite disturbing and violent. Don't watch something you're not comfortable with :)
I am so incredibly fed up with Hyun-Soo right now. He is supposed to be this somewhat (or highly?) intelligent…
I still get surprised at the things I missed when I watch it again. I think most of it stems from the torture and brainwashing he was subjected to as a child. He BELIEVES that he is a bad guy. From his actions, I don't think he had a problem with right and wrong (remember the imprisonment/torture of the reporter guy? he doesn't hesitate to commit crime to keep his family safe). More like "I'm a bad guy, Ji Won is a complete angel, full of good, and I will do whatever I can to let her live in that good, shining place she thinks the world is," It's Ji Won who struggles to see grey, and he knows it. That's why he tries so hard to "be a good guy for her." The mindset of many criminals/people involved in the underworld— they think they're unredeemable and can't get out no matter how hard they try, but they protect and shelter their innocent families with the fierceness of animals. He can't believe a woman like her would chose a man like him, and he's resolved to be only the best for her.
She's the one who challenges his beliefs about himself. Though taken aback at first, she slowly begins to understand. That scene where she calls and yells at his psychologist... the way she talks about how he cares for his daughter... I cried. The unrestricted love she shows him, convincing him to undo and break down all those years of brainwashing, first from his father and then from those villagers.
I love the way they use the daughter's character. Another little angel who adores her father with all her little heart. She gives love, unconditionally. I can only imagine what it must have been like for him to look down on this innocent, loving young face who idolized him, thought he was the best person in the entire world, trusted him with her life, and looked up to him for safety and happiness.
I'll never get over the explosive performance of the entire cast.
LMAO the Doom At Your Service dialogues thank you, I'm glad I never put it on my watchlist. I hate dramas where they do those serious, melodramatic voice overs, where the speaker keeps pausing for like five seconds after each phrase so you forget the previous phrase and feel like you've just heard some golden nugget of wisdom. Then you stop to let the words sink in... and realize it was pure garbage -_-
Mysterious Love was downright annoying, and I couldn't put up with more than two episodes.
Congratulations on crossing the 29% mark! Highest yet, 29.7% nationwide! 🥰 Have to say, this show is weirdly addictive. Just when I feel bored with the idiotic ahjummas hogging screen-time, writer-nim surprises us with something extra-sweet and I fall in love all over again.
When do y'all think the romance is going to start?
since there are 50 eps I'm thinking 20-30, but the drama seems to be moving very fast. Ep 8 and they've started appreciating each other and ML has started smiling at her photos on his phone.... three stare-at-each-other moments. They're adorable together, though.
she's a total yo-yo who can't make up her mind. Mr. Park's accident better shake everyone up.
yeah, ep 8. not DD, Mr. Park gets into an accident. DD didn't seem to have any qualms about hugging/leaning on her step-mum for support when she found out about the accident. That shows that they do care for each other and consider each other family. I wish Mr. Park would just TELL her something, anything, instead of making her think he CHEATED, for goodness' sake! -_-
Im glad Dan Dan finally told him the Truth now than later on. that way no one will have anything on her and she…
idk what's up with him srsly he trusts her enough to give her a three-month advance and you can see he appreciates her... I can't figure out why he suddenly turns on her when it isn't even that big of a deal... and she confessed herself, without any prompting from anyone!
THE AMUSEMENT PARK SCENE MADE ME SMILE LIKE A FOOL!! Petition for Young Guk to smile in every episode because…
IKR they are so adorable I've been screaming into a pillow every time they show up on screen! I never expected this drama to make my heart flutter so much... The way she jumps into his arms without any hesitation whatsoever and the way he freaking carries her around just as easily I almost DIED
I was thinking the same about her uncle.. he said when he saw her how much she has grown and to be a beauty……
he would be a creepy, perverted pyonte-sekki if that's true. Older family members usually say stuff like that so I don't think that's a warning sign. He seems to be a nice guy.

I HIGHLY doubt that he'll like DanDan, because that is just MESSED UP. He is her uncle. I'm sure he sees her as an uncle. I think he's a potential love interest for Sa Ra.
they had me hooked the moment ML asks for permission before holding her. Cliche, fluffy little drama, but it's selling point is the very nice ML. He's just aloof, never dominating or arrogant, always respecting the FL. And an adorable bean when he wants to be.
Ep 8..please don't tell me I am the only one who's surprised how fast the story line is going for 50 episodes…
lmao I'm terrified that the writer is going to run out of ideas because of how fast this is going! Watching Sa Ra's dumbstruck face when the family returned from the amusement park was sooo satisfying. And I died laughing when FL jumps into ML's arms and he just carries around so easily that was GOOD XD
This post is rather shortsighted. She didn't show up in Dan Dan's life because when she last checked up on them,…
idk about love, but she definitely cares about him. Her reaction when she finds out about his accident... i don't think it was only for money. but whatever, I hate her anyway. I also don't like Anna Kim. She has to do a LOT before I forgive her.
Even though step-mum is an insufferable leech... she seems to be a very simple woman. She does take care of Soo Cheol. It's not like she's indifferent or hateful towards him. She does care about him as a husband and not just a money-provider. I feel like she's just stupid, childish, and has never had to work hard outside the house in her entire life. His accident might shake her up. Dae Bom also loves his sister and father. They are a family.

contrast all that to the other woman, Jo Se Ra. What SHE did really was the equivalent of putting her child up for adoption. She made sure he would have the best and even better opportunities and comforts than she did. She couldn't stand leaving him in that Baby Box... the baby somehow ended up being adopted by her best friend, who was rich and married to a CEO. But her best friend died. And then Se Ra regretted giving up the kid. So now she's brought herself as close to him as possible. Though she is a bit obsessive, she always made sure that her son was safe, taken care of, and comfortable.
