It got what it deserve. 7.7 is good rating considering the first episode because it was good but there wasn't…
People do that all the time with ongoing shows, it's nothing new. You just have to ignore the ratings for now, most people will only rate it once it's finished anyway
They're currently filming My Love Mix-Up (Thai adaptation of Kieta Hatsukoi) and their characters were replaced…
They probably weren't sure how well a GL would land with the audience and wanted to add a BL pairing to play it safe so it would at least get views from the BL crowd, I guess it makes sense from a business standpoint. Nobody really expected GeminiFourth to blow up like that, when the pilot trailer dropped the first episode of MSP wasn't even out yet and most people didn't know them. I adore those two and wouldn't have minded if they kept them in but the comments and discussions would've been such a headache that I much prefer this outcome. And it is nice that we got a pure GL in the end, especially since it's GMM's first one.
Can someone tell me about the what happened to role of Gemini and forth in this series???I was excited to see…
They're currently filming My Love Mix-Up (Thai adaptation of Kieta Hatsukoi) and their characters were replaced by View and June. I think the main reason they were taken out was because they became too popular so GMM decided to give them their own drama again rather than being the second couple. There were also constant fights and complaints because people were worried they'd steal the spotlight from MilkLove, other people said they'd only watch this for GeminiFourth and some people argued that there shouldn't be a BL couple in gmm's first GL in the first place. I imagine that also at least partly played a role. Either way I think it's for the best, we get more GL, more GeminiFourth and no stupid arguments so I'm happy about it.
I actually haven't seen that many people complain yet but I honestly thought this was pretty tame in terms of…
yeah, I honestly don't mind as long as it doesn't undermine the serious moments. msp was good because it was goofy but also grounded and genuine and you could feel that there was a lot of heart put into it, and I hope 23.5 will follow the same pattern. Episode 1 already looked promising and I thought the writing was surprisingly solid so far but I also thought that about Vice Versa and Dangerous Romance and those didn't turn out too great so I don't want to get my hopes up too high yet

I mean if they're watching a gmmtv romcom they should know that they have to expect a certain amount of slapstick. I guess some people might still be mad about the northnight thing but I do have to say that msp is one of the only gmmtv shows that I found genuinely funny so the slapstick also bothered me way less. It didn't really bother me here either though, it wasn't more than usual and they did have some genuine moments so it's kind of a weird thing to complain about
I was confused about this too, ngl. If someone has read the novel and can explain this I would really appreciate…
ah I see, thanks for clarifying. I mixed up Aylin and Alpha when the mom said they're both in 10th grade, my bad. and I intentionally didn't watch the special episode in case it has spoilers but from the whole family dynamic I could've sworn they were step sisters, especially since the parents seemed very biased and because Alpha knew what Aylin is like but Ongsa didn't. but I probably just read too much into it lol

I mean if Ongsa and Alpha are both in 10th grade they're probably not full biological sisters and the conversation at the dinner table very much sounded like a step family situation where Ongsa is the dad's daughter and Alpha is the mom's daughter, plus Ongsa doesn't seem to know Aylin that well and the dad later told his wife about Ongsa's lack of social skills which she didn't know about. Aylin might not be Alpha's cousin though, she did call Aylins mom aunt but it could also just be her mom's friend and not her actual aunt
MINI RANTSo Perth came back to GMMTV to star in this train wrack of a drama? After an excellent the first episode…
I mean Last Twilight came out recently, I haven't finished it yet but I assume it's good based on the rating and the fact that P'Aof directed it.
GMMTV is definitely lacking some good directors and writers, like once in a blue moon there's something good but at this point P'Aof is really carrying them on his back. It's not just the BLs though, they struggle with their dramas in general
but they kinda screwed up the timelines didn't they?
If at the beginning of the flashback we go back to 16 years ago then wwx couldn't have been dead for 16 years since at least a couple years pass until the battle. I know novel canon is 13 years but here they keep saying 16 years, also jin ling is supposed to be around 16. Then there's shizui's age, he said lwj started taking care of him when he was 4-5 because he was in seclusion for 3 years which would make him 17-18 but then wen ning tells him that wwx tried to plant a 4-5 year old kid when he should've been 1-2 years old at that time. And finally there's Ah Jing who they say looks around 16 but then they flashback to 10 years ago where she looks the same when she should've been around 6 years old, even if she was 16 at that time xue yang only made her blind and cut her tongue out so she shouldn't have stopped aging
People will attack me but i dont think Untamed is a BL.(It is a great series btw.)The book is one of my favorite…
(spoiler tag so I don't clog the comments)
I see your point but I also don't think it's right to call it a simple friendship just because they didn't kiss or confess to each other. Take Word of Honor for example, due to censorship they also had no kiss or confession (yes there was an undubbed one but for argument's sake I won't count it) but I would call anyone who calls them "friends" delusional since you can clearly see how deeply in love they are. Look at Good Omens, yes they made it explicit in season 2 but even back in season 1 you could tell that they had romantic feelings for each other without them ever saying it. In Kieta Hatsukoi they built up a romantic relationship but never actually kissed (even though im pretty sure they did in the manga), there was only a hug at the end and yet it still worked. The Devil Judge, they never said anything but in the end despite everything I believe they both very much loved each other. Yes The Untamed had a lot of restrictions, especially compared to WoH (how that one ever saw the light of day in China is still beyond me tbh) but you could see it in their looks, words and actions that they love each other, and to me that's much more important than whether they actually said it out loud or not. I guess calling it a proper BL would be too much but I also don't like the term bromance since imo that's a little different so I'll stick to calling it a censored BL
Also this is not meant to be an attack, just sharing my perspective :)
I'm not 100% sure about the family situation but it sounds like Aylin is Alpha's cousin on her mother's side and Alpha is Ongsa's step sister?
