I haven't watched this yet but the title reminds me of that one Spongebob episode where Mr. Krabs and Plankton switched places and I'll never be able to take it seriously lol
If you haven't watched the full 50 episodes then the special edition probably won't make much sense to you, this…
No, that's what 'censored' means. They aren't allowed to show that kind of stuff in China so they have to find other ways to portray their relationship. It clearly reads as romantic but there's never anything explicit so you can choose to ignore it I guess

It's a censored BL, there's an implied gay relationship but they can't actually say it out loud. They're officially a couple in the novel, in the drama you kinda have to read between the lines but you can definitley see it too
still not over this, I don't know what posessed the censors to ever let this pass but I'm not complaining. 11/10, great morally grey characters, all the found family feels I could've wanted and WenZhou literally invented romance
I really needed Ye Baiyi and Gu Xiang to interact at least once though, just to see them bicker lol
In their defense. This is kind of a start for gls. I do believe they will improve in the future. Also I get your…
sure you can cut them some slack since it's gmm's first gl but at the same time it's not like they have to reinvent the wheel here. they've done romance for years and this show's issues don't stem from the fact that it's a gl, they're just general writing issues
yeah i like twinkling watermelon and think it’s solid but no way in hell should this be an 8.5 while TW is 9.2…
you can't really compare them, they're in two completely different genres so they have different expectations to fulfil. It's like if I asked you whether you think The Walking Dead is better than Spongebob Squarepants. You can't objectively say one is better than the other, in the end it comes down to which type of show you prefer.
I haven't seen the show nor do I know much about it so anyone who has seen the show can you help a girl out really…
yeah that whole thing could've been resolved if Tine just firmly told Green no but he never really did, instead he started fake dating some random guy lol. The actual reason is that they needed to keep that plot point going to have an excuse for the main couple to fake date but they also wanted us to like Green later so they couldn't have Tine seriously tell him to back off, because if he actually backed off it would be over and if he didn't he'd become too unlikeable.
Tine tried having a fake girlfriend but Green didn't find it believable for some reason. He started dating Sarawat instead because he's popular and I guess he thought Green would respect him and back off. Green seems to think Tine is gay, or at least bi, even though he's only ever shown interest in women before. That entire storyline is kinda iffy if you ask me
For me this was the best episode so far, I don't know what they did differently but I liked it a lot more than the previous ones and they genuinely got me invested now
This was an incredible series but man, those last few episodes hit HARD. I will be thinking about this series…
It's a happy ending for them, WKX didn't give up his life for ZZS. They heavily dubbed over the actual lines that adult Chengling said but he basically told the kids that they needed to love each other equally for it to work, not that one of them had to die. YBY even said that nobody would die before him and him asking WKX if he would die for ZZS was just to see if he loves him enough to do it. They also had the Yin Yang Book there which probably helped ZZS bring WKX back, and Chengling would've been way more sad telling this story if he really believed that one of his dads died like that. In the end they both became immortal through love and obviously they had to censor that a bit which is why it seems a little confusing.
I'll never forgive them for episode 35 though, that was just brutal
Being up on Netflix one hour after it aired also doesn't helpfor some reason it's not on both Netflix and YT for…
I think it's only on Netflix in Asia and some latam countries, for everyone else it's on YT. They're not doing both since most people would watch it on YT anyway
rating Takara-kun to Amagi-kun a 10/10 (arguibly one of the worst j-bls ever produced) while suddenly becoming…
I don't know about that one but I mean personally for the few dramas I rated 10/10 I did it based on my personal enjoyment and my own totally biased opinion, not because I don't have any criticism or because I necessarily think they're all masterpieces or even equally good. A lot of people probably do the same even though they know it's objectively not a 10/10 drama. I agree that some people seem to hold 23.5 to a higher standard due to it being a GL but some of the criticism is warranted, and honestly I haven't seen anything too bad yet. Though I do think you should definitely never judge a drama based on its first two episodes.
btw you forgot that they are high school students not adults
I get what you're saying. It's very typical writing for a GMMTV drama, especially the comedy. I'd say it's still on the better side though. Their comedy rarely ever works for me, so far they only had one drama which I genuinely thought was funny, but at this point I don't really mind it anymore. I'm actually pleasantly surprised because I was worried that the writing would be a lot worse.
I didn't like the way they just brushed off the bullying either. I didn't mind the astrology curse thing although I can see how it might seem a little childish, and as the other person said Aylin is probably autistic/neurodivergent so I don't think they were necessarily going for an on the nose 'be yourself' message there. Overall I think it's pretty decent so far though.
GMM should definitely hire some better writers, they do have some really good dramas every once in a while but they rely too much on people liking the actors and ships (which tbf is working) rather than good writing
I didn't mean that as a negative thing, it's just the impression I got. Personally I like her and I wouldn't call her 'weird for nothing', I worked with autistic/neurodivergent people for a bit and sometimes it just takes a while to get used to their quirks because their minds work differently.
I really needed Ye Baiyi and Gu Xiang to interact at least once though, just to see them bicker lol

do you know if it's on netflix for other Malaysian people?
To Be Continued isn't a gmmtv production so it probably works differently
