unless you have read the novel, i think it is better to watch the original version. this version cuts down many…
yes absolutely go with the original, I love their love story but this is just a great story in general even apart from that and you would definitely miss out if you only watched the special edition. It's worth watching all 50 episodes
that's not the issue at all, I've seen exactly 0 comments that said they want NC scenes. The problem people have…
I haven't watched addicted and I'm not planning to so I don't know what you mean by that but people have a right to be disappointed in this because it's not what they expected.
last year: people disgusted because they were showing aye and akk from the eclipse so close being just high schoolers,…
that's not the issue at all, I've seen exactly 0 comments that said they want NC scenes. The problem people have is that they don't seem like they like each other romantically. You don't need a bunch of NC scenes to make the audience believe that two people are in love, you don't even need a kiss, but this is just giving bromance vibes and them being highschoolers is not a good excuse
If people feel like the director is the problem you should go watch Love In Translation. Directed by the same…
that's like if you read a bad book and then say the author isn't the problem because they've also written a good book before. I mean clearly the writing is at fault too but the director(s?) definitely could've done better
If you watch the original trailer, I think this was going to be edgier. Perth even smokes in the trailer, and…
yeah people call them pilot trailers or mock trailers, gmm always has a press conference towards the end of the year (next one is in two days actually, Oct 17) where they essentially give previews of the series they're gonna release the following year. They do release the actual trailer shortly before the series airs though.
Well at least something mildly dangerous happened this episode.
Honestly the scene with Guy and Nawa looking at the stars with the quiet night sounds and the soft indie sounding music got me, it actually made me feel something for once but the dialogue and interaction just didn't deliver. Like the vibe was romantic af but for some reason there was no romance at all, staring into each other's eyes is always a hit or miss but it actually would've been fitting there. Ngl I'm kinda frustrated at that because it was RIGHT THERE and any other series would've made a huge ass romantic moment out of that but it seems like they're trying very hard to give us the least possible amount of romance. (Seriously the atmosphere was way too good, especially when Nawa says "The stars are pretty" and they cut to the sky and that soft note hits? Please someone tell me you felt the same lol)
At this point it feels like theres just random things happening with little danger and little romance. I've read some arguments as to why they chose to make the series like this ("they're just highschoolers", "they can't show anything too dangerous") but if you want dangerous there's Not Me, if you want high school there's MSP and if you want bully romance there's F4, all of which are gmmtv shows with the same age rating if I'm not mistaken and all of which are actually good. We know gmm can do better if they try.
I don't mind bad kisses, I've seen a lot of kdramas where they just pressed their lips together, I can even excuse a lack of chemistry if the build-up is decent but I really don't feel anything towards Kang and Sailom's relationship. I will say a bunch of the dialogue between them actually sounds pretty natural, especially at the end of scenes which makes me think they improvised a lot there. They do have good friend chemistry.
I'll keep watching since I've come this far and I am still somewhat invested, plus it seems like some actual danger is gonna happen soon. They should've brought Name back way earlier to build more on his relationship with Saifah and be the real dangerous romance. Maybe that's gonna be the plot twist, just like in Bad Buddy when (spoilers) we found out that Pat's dad was the real bad buddy all along (which I know was probably not the intention with the title, I just think it's funny)
It is on 17 october like the person above said but there will be two parts, we dont know when the second one is…
almost all of their current bl pairings are gonna be attending part 1 so there will for sure be some. I know geminifourth definitely have a confirmed one, not sure about the rest but gmm knows their audience too so there probably won't be just one
They confirmed the actors that will be at part 1, out of the usual BL pairings it looks like FirstKhao, NeoMark,…
As for GL I only spotted ViewJune but to be fair gmm pretty much only has two GL ships for now if I'm not mistaken (the other one being MilkLove), there's gonna be a bunch more female actors there so there might be some more GL too (hopefully🤞🏻). Love won't be there though, I only saw Milk which I guess makes sense considering they just filmed 23.5.
They confirmed the actors that will be at part 1, out of the usual BL pairings it looks like FirstKhao, NeoMark, ForceBook, GeminiFourth, TayNew, OffGun, EarthMix, WinnySatang, PondPhuwin, JoongDunk, JimmySea, PerthChimon and GawinKrist will all be there. That's pretty much every big pairing they currently have. I know that GeminiFourth definitely have a confirmed BL, I'm not 100% sure about the rest but I don't think they'd have them all there if most of them didn't have a series together.
I want to start by saying I don't blame the actors. I think they are doing what the script requires them to do…
I've said this before but your last point isn't a good excuse when we had My School President (and Moonlight Chicken too, for that matter). You can portray sweet innocent high school love without making it a bromance.
I agree with your other points though. I haven't seen much of Perth before but I know Chimon is a decent actor, the directing and writing here just isn't great and PerthChimon doesn't have the best romantic chemistry. I honestly thought Chimon had better chemistry with Nanon in The Gifted which was an actual bromance. I'll still keep watching though since I wanna know how it ends too
Saifah and Kanghan father have more chemistry than the lead couple...
Plot twist that's the real dangerous romance, Kanghan and Sailom were just there to give them a reason to meet. Kang's dad gave Saifah the watch to get him fired because he's secretly working with the loan shark guys but Saifah sees through it and now they hate each other. Dad hires the loan sharks to frame Saifah for various crimes but what they didn't anticipate is their slowly blossoming feelings for each other. Saifah gets arrested but Kang's dad uses his money and influence to get him out. Saifah is angry at him and leaves. Dad gets shot by the loan sharks for betraying them, Saifah hurries back and regrets everything he said. Kang's dad is now in a coma and Saifah swears revenge on the loan sharks. He tracks them down for months since they went into hiding. When he finally finds them he beats them all up which gets him three years in prison. We get a time skip and as he walks out they door he sees his one true love standing there, having finally woken up from his coma. They kiss, the end.
Well I understand people are angry becoz they are seeing platonic scenes more than romantic scenesBut it's a high…
You know, the last high school Thai BL I've seen was My School President which was 13+ too and had no sex scenes either. They always stayed age appropriate but I never felt like it wasn't romantic enough or they weren't into each other enough because you really don't need a bunch of adult scenes to make the viewers believe that the characters are in love. I know the main issues with DR are the directing and writing but I also think PerthChimon just might not be the best match.
We don't know about anyone's sexuality unless they tell us but straight actors have portrayed gay characters and gay actors have portrayed straight characters for years. They could just as well be bi, pan, ace or any other sexuality, point is it doesn't limit them from acting in love with whatever gender the other person may be. When a straight actor plays a straight role in a romcom it doesn't mean they're automatically attracted to their co-star in real life either, that's why it's called acting.
About the novel, I haven't read it so I don't know how closely they followed it but they very much can change the storyline a bit because gmm does that all the time. That's not an excuse for bad writing.
This is a teen series, if it gets too dangerous, they can't watch it in peace, lolz.
I mean gmm also gave us Not Me where actual dangerous stuff happened and it had the same age rating, I don't think that's the issue. As for the trailers, they normally film a concept trailer which they show at the gmm press conference around the end of the year. You can't really rely on those but I think it makes sense, everyone knows the series are gonna be slightly different in the end anyway but it's fun to know what we can look forward to. They also release a real trailer shortly before the series airs which should only contain scenes they actually shot for the series, if there's something in the trailer that's not in the series they most likely cut it for whatever reason.
I mean their acting and chemistry even completely leveled up in OS2 so yeah, I can't wait to see where this'll…
I mean at this point if there's no oishi is it even a gmmtv show? lol P'Aof usually does product placements pretty well though so I wouldn't worry too much
