you've got positive reviews so i'll give you negative one: the story line is horrible. Imagine ALP with stories inside stories but that times four, and often with no clear function for the whole plot.

nope. I dropped it for now. Was planning to just watch the last 20 episodes but the youtube one still has no subtitle. I guess I'll just wait till then...

i read the novel first only because I watched 2 episodes and didn't understand anything.

rewatching. this drama is awful technically, the plot relies a lot on explanation and background knowledge, the acting are also not the best. Yet I was never bored watching this, loving every minute, and still crying over wangxian years later lol

yes you can! you'll just probably miss some fun references but it won't hinder your watching experience.
