FL's words implied, as if ML is cowardice for covering XS under the Emperor's order.

If that scene is before 'fishing village', I understand but not after.

So, in order for me not to drop this drama, I shifted my main attention to XS's harem. My guess, Old Madam Xie is the most evil.

Of course, still looking forward to Shen Run's badass scenes. 😊

As for the main couple romance, they will definitely end up together. But for me, that's not the main subject to get me engaged anymore.

It's not XuKai's fault. Can't help to think that the screenwriter did dirty for FL's choice of words towards ML in E20. Damn!

Just to stay engaged, I had to shift my main attention from the main couple to the Xie Shu's women. His harem is so twisted.

I'm starting to like Xu Kai here. Perhaps, it hits different when an actor dubbed his own charater.

The fourth, FL's mother, is lust. She was beautiful ang graceful. He doesn't have an inch of love in him.

When I see the preview of Xie Shu getting a new concubine. Why? The only reason that came to mind, his 2nd son is not good enough to lead the Xie family. So, he needs to make a new son through his fresh breading machine.

The way he smiled (though a bit ) when he heard the decree, was so eerie. Your good son just died, and you smiled because you're promoted due to your son's death. He is not a fatter but a sperm donor.

Though, the promotion feels like a trap, to make him act reckless, now that he's an Earl, to get to the master behind him.

In HDA, CZY and FL chemistry is lacking, but I assure you, it's not CZY's fault. 😊

Let's say FL is against 90% members of her father's harem. At first, her scheme worked, hence she entered Xie household. That was the easy part. To get the truth behind her mother's death, was difficult.

ML has his own agenda. His assignment to eliminate corrupt officials is not an easy task.

One thing leads to another, ML and FL started to work together to get what they want.

Along the way, the truth started to unveil, so far Wei + Xie + Shen are connected, and a mastermind whom not yet known. I'd say it's suspense with revenge on the side. 🤔🧐

Mmm ... To me, the screenwrting falls a bit short, but still tolerable.

The screenwriter's previous works are not good.

The Director has some notable projects.

Mixed these 2, we get what we're watching now, not the best but still engaging. 😊

She has caught his attention from the start, at least since he knew she orchestrated the fire at Xie's barn.

Perhaps, he knew she was his childhood friend, or 'an enemy of my enemy is my friend' thingy, whichever he was drawn to her.
