He didn't tell her, perhaps he didn't want her to get involved directly in his revenge. The Yu is dangerous, not only they are corrupted, they kill too. At this point, he suspected that Mdm Wu was also murdered by the Yu.

Why she stays? Just like he stayed by her side when she has her own personal agenda, to get confession letters to clear her name, she will do the same for him.

The bottom line is, she misundertood him before.

He was OK before, but didn't really get my attention. Then, Zhang Hai Xia happened, the scene where he looked up at the sky, no expression at first, then sadness, followed by confusion, ended with smile of satisfaction.
With Zhao Ling, he won me over.

I'm shocked that TY didn't back down when ZL explained why Mo Yi died. It's the Emperor, the CP back then !

Ding Yuxi really upgraded his acting, every emotion delivered perfectly! So natural, as if he's living the life of his characters.
He grabbed my attention as Zhang Hai Xia. As Zhao Ling, he won me over. Carefree, humble, caring, constraint, conflicted, etc, he nailed them all.

ZL needs to make a move without Mr Yu's knowledge. His men is everywhere, he knows ZL's every move, that's why he can make counter attack. ZL needs to act defeated or vanished, as if he were not a threat anymore, let his guard down. Then, work undercover, in disguise to obtain concrete evidence of his evil deeds.

Once the revenge (for FL's mother and Mo Yi) is done, leave capital, status and politics for good. Be the carefree ZL again. Don't listen to TY about how to live your life anymore. Live your own life, by your own terms. You've done enough for her. 🤔
