IMO why many people don't feel the chemistry because of the rare introverted character set up of the male lead. I noticed people often reference the two actor/actress other dramas saying they are capable of having good chemistry in other dramas but not with each other. For me how can one compare the chemistry in other dramas with this one when the character set up is completely different. As far as I've seen other Yang Mi's dramas before this, all her male leads are extroverted type, either domineering, or brash or bold so it's easy making people heart flutter hence people said good chemistry. Yang Hua is introverted, in real life these type of personality don't click with a lot of people, hence many feel they are not compatible. That's why so many dramas set up the main leads to be extroverted because it is easy to like and click with audience hence I appreciate this drama put forth the male lead that is not in favor with crowd. So for me to generalize the actor/actress don't have good chemistry with each other is kinda stereotyping. Also I respect your opinion but I found it a bit contradicting when you said "Xu Kai is too young for this particular role" when Yang Hua is the same as Xu Kai's age when he is portraying it. But then again I agree the scriptwriter is a bit gender bias that some scenes did not develop well hence some of the relationship aspect were missing.

They won't cut but instead increase the episodes duration from 45 minutes to 60 minutes... to fit in from 49 episodes to 40 episodes... so 15 extra minutes per 40 episodes aka 600 minutes. 10 episodes are only 450 minutes

pre-summer vacation slot is June like Ancient Love Poetry. Summer vacation prime slot is July to august. Post-summer is september, so longest promise should be around July-august

Impossible Longest Promise will air around April, Tencent would put their big drama during summer vacation. No Tencent didn't delay drama according to artists drama, it depends on the drama production if they have done their post-production or not. Like Snow Eagle Lord delayed because they couldn't complete the post-production on time. SEL could clash with WOL because of this. WOL could possibly get pre-summer vacation schedule.
