When youβre desperate for freedom, sometimes you donβt care/think about the consequences. He was a part of…
All the more reason why he was in the best position to gather evidence. Mutually assured destruction is the only deterrent to people like them so if they knew going after him would have consequences, they would think twice about it first. He naively announced he was going to divorce and submitted his resignation, and then even delivered a harsh judgement that went against them. What did he expect? If he knew enough to start making money on his own by cutting side deals, he should've been smart enough to protect himself on his exit.
Also, since LHY has been working for this family for so long, what exactly did he think would happen when he turned on them? He knew exactly what type of people they were so how was he so woefully unprepared? No paperwork or recordings or anything to defend himself. Just vibes. While he was hiding money, he didn't think to keep evidence???? Total idiocy.
Pretty wild to me that the LHY didn't think to use his legs at all while he was getting choked out. Even more ridiculous that as a judge, he woke up in a room with a body and decided to not only flip the body, but pick up the murder weapon. Wild. π
NXG's mom and her side of the family are just too funny and adorable. Love her uncle publicly disowning her trash bag dad at the party and then sending pictures to his wife once the couple got together ππ also love the fierce loyalty on display as soon as that rando started badmouthing LYS. That is a family that goes hard and XG's dad is going to cry bitter tears of regret when everything falls apart and the fairweather losers he surrounded himself with abandon him.
Also, what a loser LYS's cousin is too and I bet he learned it from his loser parents. Their grandfather actually deserves dust cos there's no way he doesn't know that he wronged YS's dad but he refuses to apologise to his daughter because of pride. And if he still doesn't know by now, it's because he doesn't want to know.
Finally, I gotta say I absolutely love how XG has strong, successful, emotionally stable women in her life too. Awesome environment for a young lady to grow up in.
I'm really enjoying their dating era especially cos they're quite open with each other and never leave room for misunderstandings.
i'm ok with that. At least someone knows their inside story and can be their spokesperson should anything goes…
I can see the logic there. It's just the way she's always like "OMG are you finally dating our boss" every other minute that annoyed me π but that's just cos I have very strict boundaries, personally.
I'm glad they're not trying to hide the relationship, but that one work friend who sees everything as an opportunity to pry into XG's relationship with LYS actually annoys me. It's probably just me though π
The men at that party are so insecure, they can't comprehend that a women can be successful. So petty and jealous,…
Them saying that XG's mom lost when she divorced a pile of garbage and walked away with a fortune is wild to me. Now she's rich and doesn't have to deal with a man-child who can't handle her success just because she's a woman. What a great loss, I guess π
NXG's dad is actually the stupidest person in this drama. I really hope her mother goes back into business and explodes while her father crumbles to dust. He would've been comlpetely worthless without her mother but he didn't hesitate to drop her for that snake and her useless daughter. The man deseves nothing but dirt and pain.
I also think his anger towards her for breaking her promise to wait for him was so weird!! Love her for telling…
That made me so mad. I don't even know what she ever saw in him but he wrecked her so bad that she can't even trust what is actually in front of her now. I'm glad that she's healing and learning what it means to actually be adored.
Zhuang Xu is so weird to me... What did he really expect would happen when he kept NXG in limbo from the time she confessed until his so-called childhood sweetheart kept deliberately antagonising NXG in public and doing everything to embarrass her. He has a working mouth and limbs so he could've told NXG how he felt in many ways and he could've cleared that other girl if that's what he really wanted. NXG was never shy about her feelings for him but there's really only so much a person can take before moving on. Now she's met someone who's not afraid to say he likes her and wants to be with her, and more than that, he's not afraid to show her how he feels. I skip through most scenes with ZX cos I don't care for his pining when it's not like the situation was something out of his control. I wish him and his apparent new love interest all the best, but I do not care about their story at all.
I'm mainly here for the case and honestly, I dislike people who keep things from their own lawyers. If you want to be dishonest then just go to jail and stop wasting a lawyer's time and resources π
Also, an adult person with a fully formed frontal lobe having a full meltdown because a stranger they do not know may be in a relationship with another stranger is absolutely batshit crazy. Anyone inclined to crashing out over a celeb dating is a freak, and the fact that it happens in real life is just more proof of why human beings suck.
I don't think the other bandmate did it, but I am sure the key is in the missing phone, not even the murder weapon. Why take the victim's phone if they're not trying to hide something crucial? And what were they looking for in Ra Ik's place?
Oh! The scene with the prosecutor and his dad solidifies it for me that his dad faked whatever happened with Se Na's dad for his career. He's obviously a corrupt and evil prosecutor trying to breed the same evil in his son. Although, it seems the prosecutor is not quite there yet and actually believes in upholding the law and conducting a proper investigation, even if his ego gets him making questionable decisions.
Came back here to say I'm so annoyed that they left the deposed emperor with Zhang Mo's face. Why is he still walking around with that face??? Let Zhang Mo rest in peace for crying out loud.
Like, what happens the day his wife decides she's tired of waiting for him to return and comes to Chang'an with their daughter to be reunited with her husband? Is anyone even going to tell her that Zhang Mo is dead? Truly vexing.
So many schemes and plots to keep track of, and in the midst of it all, my disdain for the deposed emperor remains strong. I hated him from the moment he murdered Zhang Mo, and I haven't looked back once.
They were not really children like elementary kids more like he helped her get over a painful period in her teenage…
She and the prosecutor seem to have a connection in their childhood (teenagers are still children). Then she met him randomly at a low point in that time too. I'm not just speaking of the leads.
I won't be surprised if it turns out that the prosecutor's father got her dad wrongfully convicted for his political advancement too.
The childhood connections are annoying, but I'm willing to ignore all that for this one. I hope some of the messages the show is sharing actually hit their target audience.
I'm only 7 minutes into ep 1 and I came here to scream about the truck driver cos how was THAT his reaction???? My brother in Christ, you have windshield wipers for a reason πππ it was such a stupid & illogical accident that I had to rewatch it and then come here π€£π€£π€£
