Both are related to biotechnology and genetic engineering and both are sci-fi crime dramas and have a suspentual situations and different concepts

Both are about rich families and poor sufferings and both are about love and break up and both have rich family crimes and crises with emotional touch

Both are miserable dramas and both leads suffer and they're really heart breaking and both of them might be sad ending

Both are sad ending (we don't know yet) but one of the lead will die and this is about one lead dying and other remembering

Both about national treasure, secret factions, selling to the Japanese

Similarities:

1. Leads with a special power that gives them insight into other people.
2. A main part of both plots is finding out the truth behind a past crime.
3. Tough, cynical FL and a soft, gentle ML where FL stands up for and protects ML.
4. Lots of cute domestic slice of life moments, IHVY is cohabitation and MLL is neighbors.
5. Emphasis on the importance on truth and lies in relationships.

The story in IHYV is a more melo, faster paced plot with higher stakes, but it's a sweet romance about the transformative power of truly loving and always supporting someone. MLL is cute but it's much slower in pace and the story falls apart in the second half, you have to hang in there for the romance.

In the second couple, the character Gimbo reminds of Yechan from Love Tractor. He is a shy, sweet, and socially out-of-touch farmer who’s innocence and happy atmosphere charms his love interest.

In both of these BL dramas, two friends become lovers and then strangers. Many years later, they reunite - but the sudden distant temperament of one of them causes confusion in the other, as well as the avoidance of topics surrounding the past.

Same "loser" MC with a girl with special powers that just shows up out of nowhere and rocks his world i suppose. The themes in both shows are quite similar even though Youkai GF is more action heavy. Similar shows, try the other if you seen the latter
