When I saw the circle ring in the eyes, it remind me of the male lead in the Japaneses movie called Impossibility defense. Both has supernatural power for good and for bad.

-romance, though Love in the Moonlight is a lot more fluff than Moonshine
-tough/ordinary-ish girl, often dresses as a guy
-guy is higher rank than the girl
-(possible) second-lead syndrome/second-couple syndrome
-second-lead starts out with friend vibes

-two male leads
-investigative, but D.P. is a lot more serious compared to Bad and Crazy as it is based in the military and not the police force

It’s a short film co-starring Xiao Zhan that came out this year. For anyone who wants to see him in something a bit more modern.

A similar self-improvement plot for each, but YNSH has a nicer ML and a stronger FL, and the FL was a mess long before the ML ever met her so he wasn't the cause of her self-esteem issues like in We Love. The ultimate message of "love yourself" in YNSH is healthier, but We Love does have the positive message of "be true to your feelings" so there's a bit of a similarity there. Happy endings on both counts.

Both movies are about a parent living alone with their child who attends high school. Although the reason why each parent is alone is different, they have in common that every day, they prepare a bento lunch box for their child.

The start of OBS immediately reminded me of the short web drama Flat. Two high schoolers that date and a documentary shows us their relationship as they grow into adulthood.
