Both of them follow life during the korean war between soilders and citizens/kids.
Both use a creative outlet ,
Swing kids uses tap dancing.
A melody to remember uses singing, choir.
Both also don't use romance to overshadow the story.
Theres a lot more similarities but not many i can give away without spoilers but both movies are amazing and worth a watch.

Both are about best friends who have known each other for years who can be themselves around each other. They know each other well, but they're bad at recognizing their own feelings and deny them out of fear of losing the other person.

Both are short and light dramas about a boy and a girl who are friends and have known each other for years, and who are comfortable moving in with each other when they need a place to stay. In both dramas the FL has recently broken up with her boyfriend, and in both dramas the ML is good at looking after and cheering up the FL in his own way. In both dramas the leads try to ignore / deny their growing feelings for each other.

Love stories of both, are similar. Both of the main male leads had children, that they didn't know for their existence. Some problems within the family or within the power "position in the court" had always made problems for the loving couple.

You must watch General and I, cuz it rocked. The Actress is AMAZING ... and some martial skills were shown in a new light, Actually, they were shown in the correct way, and THX GOD there was no FLYING around as they fought.

The movie version of Love O2O.
Its based on the novel "One smile is very alluring. It has manga adaptation and drama adaptation, but this movie adaptation was done better. THE ACTRESS is FREE and shes NOT stiff with the kissing scenes. Love how the connection between the"main male lead" and "main female lead"

I've watched this actress's drama "General and I", and I love her. She's such a talent. I think that there is no emotion that she couldn't express, nor character that she couldn't act.
I'm not exaggerating ... cuz u need to watch to make your own conclusion.

Although they aren't similar by the plot, the angst genre connects them. There was so many misunderstandings in both of the dramas, that makes you wanna kill one or another main character ... The humor was good. Sarcastic jokes too.

Same actress but different character.
Ice Fantasy's based on brotherly love and respect, while it lacks a lot in love "story".
Ice fantasy is darker than A Lifetime Love, but they do match, cuz of the humor.
If you wanna watch ICE FANTASY .... skip first 4-5 eps ... cuz the 3D background sucks in the WAR scenes ...

The martial arts and power demonstrations were the main part of both dramas, but the Love stories were both unique too.
