They don't like each other at the beginning but then it turns out that she is the one - the one that can touch him without causing a disaster. The romace plays the main part in both stories - both are equally worth watching!

Both famale lead wanted to become a teacher and by doing so change the school for better. Both were grown up in poor families and had to struggle a lot in life. The similarity ends there. I think Dong Yi is more dramatic (and it is subtle for a Kdrama) and this show is much more subtle and as grounded in reality as a period piece can be. Dong Yi is after all a palace drama. This drama is not campy at all. There is no fluff, in my opinion. No filler.

I love how the male main character in both stories change their behaviour especially in front of the female main character. the vibes in both dramas are similar in one way but different in another way. i think that the main characters' interaction is smooth.
