Both dramas set in the pre-2000s era, in which Aema is set in 1980s while Undercover Miss Hong is set in 1990s. Both dramas present female characters working in male-dominated industries.
Both Denied Love and Chasing Love are thai GLs from the same author and in both the series one of the mains shamelessly persuite the other but the latter is emotionally unavailable as well as keep denying their feelings.

Both Thai BLs with a main lead that has a supernatural ability to read minds.. Boy From Next World has parallel universes where the ML goes into his own body and Me and Who has a ML isekai'd into someone else's body... they both just reminded me of each other.

social critique to capitalism involving a family's economic struggle. Graphic depiction of violence.
I found the two FL's family situation quite similar, though it takes up more of the story in Autumn Fairy Tale. The topic of the last 20-ish minutes is also similar, but it would contain spoilers, so I'll just leave it at that.
Both:
- leads get to know each other in high school
- one of them leaves without a word (FL - The First Frost, ML - Ten Years of Loving You)
- FL has trouble / drama with her family
- ML is a green flag, dedicated to protect and care for the FL
- they meet again years later (TFF - 8 years later (if i remember correctly), TYOLY - 7 years later)
- living together

Both are historicals with a ML chef, romance & food packed into a short length duration..................
Both drama is connected by-
- Psychological tension ? The story builds through mind games rather than action.
- Powerful female leads ? Strong, emotionally layered women drive the narrative.
- Hidden truth slowly revealed ? Each episode uncovers new secrets behind the crime.
- Manipulation by others ? Characters are framed or controlled by smarter, darker forces.
- Moral ambiguity ? It’s hard to tell who is truly innocent or guilty at first.
- Trauma-based storytelling ? Past suffering shapes present choices and revenge.
- Justice vs survival ? Leads must choose between clearing their name or protecting themselves.
- Dark, serious tone ? Both avoid romance focus and lean into thriller drama.

Still a “well-behaved girl” storyline, but with some twists.
The FL rescues the ML from an attack and is upfront from the beginning that she intends to use him as a tool for revenge. ML agrees without hesitation.
ML is a hacker and a painter.
She later leaves him to better herself, enrolling in business school and reinventing her life. She returns as an exceptional financier.
This time, the FL’s sister is imprisoned and used as leverage, forcing the FL into obedience.
The ML is younger than the FL, both in the story (and in real life), and addresses her as jie jie, emphasizing their age gap and dynamic.

For some reason watching Friendly Rivalry & the chemistry between Woo Seul-gi & Yoo Jae-yi reminded me of the chemistry between Yeon Si-eun & Ahn Su-ho in Weak Hero Class!! Now the stories are nothing alike other than both of them taking place in a high school setting ? but TRUST me WHC is a MUST!! SO GOOD!!
