Highly Recommended Lakorn - Leh Ratree is much better than Roy Leh Sanae Rai. Dad sells daughter off to pay for debt. It does follow the typical innocent female lead genre but the female lead is not stupid and the main male lead is a jerk-like in the beginning for a actual purpose who turns out to be a understanding and kind man. The chemistry between the main leads is amazing and it has very well developed characters. You will certainly enjoy the bickering. :)

Both lakorns came out in the same year and worth giving it a go.
If you liked SLAP/KISS genre and conflicting emotions of love/hate/revenge then recommend checking out this lakorn. Yes, the main female lead gets kidnapped to an island for the majority of the drama- turns out to have kidnapped the wrong person and you think you know what's going to happen. Its one of the first of it's kind. :)

Both are epic sageuk dramas about the life of a historic/legendary hero from Joseon dynasty. If you loved Yoon Kyun Sang in SFD Rebel is the drama you need!

Both are centered around a legendary masked heroic thief, who fights the rich and helps the poor. They are driven by revenge and a distinct sense of justice. They also have exceptionally good fighting skills. Also both involve an interesting father/son relationship as well as romance (Rebel has better romance than Iljimae imo).

However, I'd dare to say that Iljimae is a lighter watch than Rebel. Latter is more complex and involves more characters.

Both involve a narrow-minded aspiring female lead and her more gentle male counterpart (as both have the same profession).
Female leads have had dealt with harassment and the surrounding rumors about them and have become fierce.
It's about their work and home enviroment and the way they learn to adapt, allow people in.. and about their professional life with their colleagues.

Dramas about women and men in kitchen/restaurants. Both are favourite dramas that involve female chefs and their surroundings + their growt at professional level and how they manage to make the people surrounding them better humans trough cooking and competition.

- Both deal w/ young love and its growing pains.
- Both deal w/ the "re-education" of urban young people through hard labor in rural villages..... as part of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

Similar subjects addressed differently ..... Under the Hawthorn Tree is a simple and elegant film of innocent love .... Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress is a film w/ a meaningful message, rebelling against the re-education.
