Splash Splash Love is like the short version of Scarlet Heart (minus the gender-bendering), a condensed version of Scarlet Heart minus all the agony and politics. SSL is also more light-hearted, less serious and focuses more on the romance compare to Scarlet Heart. If you want to see some cute and comical time traveling, SSL is for you. If you want to see some politics, more character developments, as well as more interactions with side characters, you can watch Scarlet Heart but bring some tissues with you! Both modern female leads time travels to the past with some knowledge of history but SSL involves Korean History whereas Scarlet Heart involves Chinese History.

Both doramas have heavy feelings and treat subjects as children's absuse and adults that try to help them.
Kimi wa iiko tells the stories of different children who have to undergo different adversities but they end up being pilars for the people who are near them, something similar occurs in Mother.

Rich Men and a poor women. One talks more about the fancy lifestyles about the rich than the other but both main leads are peculiar and have interesting personalities. The second lead tends to have some air of mystery, but are good guys in the end. Second female lead in rich man poor woman is similar to one of the girls that become interested in Jun Pyo as well.

The story of childhood friends who are in love with eachother, and of course the third parties that they meet along the way (love triangles! or squares?)
Both have a similar air, where they are not that extremely dramatic or serious but are light hearted in a sense.

I loved both for the strong bromance that they presented. In both dramas, I felt myself rooting for the guy best friends more than the actual main guy/girl relationship. Both dramas, have a nice balance between lightheartedness and addressing serious issues. Either way, it's hard to love one without loving the other!

As I was watching Mask, I kept thinking it's kind of like Secret. Then I found it's from the same writer. The main thing about both is the evil guy is really evil.

Kim Eun Hee is the genius writer who wrote Signal and she is also the one who wrote Sign. Sign is also one of the best crime thriller dramas out there. If you are looking for something as good as Signal then you should definitely watch Sign and vice versa. Both dramas are blessed with excellent unforgettable plot, perfectly written characters and TOP actors. Sign has Park Shin Yang as the main lead and he is one of the best top notch actors. Both dramas gained high TV ratings and a must watch dramas.
