Both couples in these dramas have a one-night stand in the beginning of their relationship and later their feelings are developing. Rich man, poor/ordinary woman. Romance and comedy, some drama. "You're my destiny" is more serious, "My secret romance" more cheesy.
both are set in a mental institute with a normal person being wrongly placed in there by a loved one, although 'insane' is a mystery thriller and a bit more intense and has stronger themes of mental and physical abuse
- Family-oriented
- Love interest is also a friend, at first gets exasperate by the MC but is always there for support and advice
- Someone dear dies
- It is very heartwarming

The plot and the main characters are quite similar. However, not completely the same. Also about a prince marrying a wife but in this story, the female protagonist is already the princess but with Naughty Princess they have to overcome some obstacles. Also about the female protagonist time travelling from the modern world to the past. This story also talks about 3 princes with the eldest and the second eldest fighting against each other for the throne with the 3rd prince being on the same boat as the second prince.
Same Rom-Com aspect to both of them. The plot is somewhat similar in both of them. They both fake a marriage so the male lead can protect his house which he values a lot. The female leads are loosely similar in the way that they think of marriage the opposite way that the male leads do.
They are similar because:
Similar theme: Both set in school/university + flower boy concept
There's a love triangle between the female and male lead and one of the 2nd male leads
4 male leads who are popular in the school/university
The male lead hates the female lead and there is some bullying and then they fall in love
Rich boy poor girl type of drama
Differences:
None of the male leads knew each other before becoming roommates in Hi Flower
More business/company feud in Hi Flower
The female lead is an orphan and struggles to support her and her brother's education.

Both protagonists are strong and skilled doctors who go against the rules of the hospital to save patients. There are a lot of people against them.
has the character "Jeremy/Lee Hong Gi" in the lead, both have the same vibe like the old kdramas or shoujo mangas, both are innocent love story between innocent characters, also has idols
both have dark themes, both of them have twisted characters and also theme of physical abuse and hint of sexual abuse to young children

The drama is about 2 families who go from the picture perfect life to a stage life. Shin Gu runs a photo studio and his kimchee-like common class family is about to become inlaws with Seon Woo Eun-Sook's cheese-like rich class family that runs a sports center, and Kim Eul-Dong plays Shin Gu's wife. Lee Hye-Yeong plays Kim and Shin's unmarried 39 year old daughter. With the clash in class and familyvalues, the drama is the comic events that follow when kimchee and cheese are hashed together

These two dramas are seemingly quite different, but I think they have some themes in common, such as people working through various life issues and the characters trying to help each other through it. There's a theme of family here, in Kahogo no Kahako they are related by blood, but in Last Friends, the friends are like family. Last Friends is quite a bit darker in terms of the issues the characters deal with, but if you liked Kahogo no Kahoko, give Last Friends a try!
Both have awesome swordsman and fight scenes. One is about getting revenge and killing while the other is trying to make amends for past and refuses to kill. Both are awesome movies and have the same feel and character looks.
