both are romance dramas set in Shanghai in the 1930s. The plot is similar in some ways where numerous misunderstandings led to a wrong feeling of revenge in the main female character.

The subject matter and plot lines of these have absolutely nothing in common, but both are parodies and I found the tone and humor to be really similar. Comedy is all about personal taste, but if you like yours deadpan and absurd with a touch of suspense and enjoyed Going by the Book you should give Once Upon a Time in Saengchori a try. I find them both pee-your-pants funny.

If you also like a great awesome romance, HEALER has it too... Also with a hidden identity to protect the one she loves... Great OST's too.... No boring/dragging moments...

Combined with action & comedy...... Just watch it & see for yourself, worth re-watching over and over again... Perfectly done & highly recommended!!..

wallace and tiffany in both dramas as main leads, in chinese paladin, they couldn't be together but in perfect couple they ended up together, this is supposed to be a conpensation for all chinese paladin3 lovers, the weirdness of chinese paladin's ending was similar to that of perfect couple, but the later had a happier vibe .

The plot lines for these films are very similar; a normal high school girl gets prettier as the film progresses in order to grab the attention of the most popular guy in school.
Cute, sweet but cliche.
