Both star leading actress Choi Kang Hee. Both deal with a social phobia that stems from a repressed memory and trauma. Both have adorable funny leading men and even more handsome 2nd leads. Both have tender moments and upbeat endings.

Same story - Guy has been loving her friend for a LONG time but stayed as a friend.

Both movies have the lead girl lose faith in friendship and begin to use it as a tool for their own lack of love and greed.

Yasashii Jikan is more like a healing - slow pacing - slice of life - nature scenery drama; and Kohiya is a more normal type.

Manhattan Love Story is simply a wackier; more absurd; crazier version of Love Shuffle :XD: (Of course in a good way)

Same writer; male leads starting as a big loser and have character developments to be a better and stronger person.

Pride is a classic and halu-aki onscreen couple chemistry is arguably the best ever in jdorama world.

Chunhyang is the folk tale. The movie is beautifully and artistically sung to poetry. It's one of my all time favorites. Servant is another spin on this old story of love and loyalty.

Stealing, traps, logistics, breath-taking action spots, bonds, betrayal and back-stabbing.

Both revolve around a young man having the sudden oncoming of responsibilities and a lifestyle situated within parenthood. Though it's not as comical, it still leaves an impact much similar to this movie.

These two are short slow paced- beautifully written - slice of life dramas who focus on female leads and their way to renew their life. They have the same relaxing, nostalgic, instropective, a little bit sentimental aura.
