The story reveals in the beginning Qi Empire while Gao Zhan has his fight of the throne with Empress Dowager Lou. Lu Zhen was the ever first female prime minister at that era. The story basically covers 80% true history recordings about the life of Lu Zhen, a smart and brilliant minded young lady from a middle class official family to her way up to becoming a prime minister. The story also had actually happened to be at the almost same time with this Legend Of Dugu, while the family Dugu prime minister's daughter was indeed a close friend of Lu Zhen. My Mister is definitely darker & more serious in comparison to Live, but they carry similar tones in terms of an honest, raw, and un-glamourised representation of human life. They both present people seeing humanity in others even among ugly times. Although Live is focused on life as a police officer while My Mister isn't aimed at portraying a particular career lifestyle, they both discuss the trials and tribulations of these particular characters (both with such well written and not-shallow/flat personalities, might I add) with such honesty, and aren't afraid to be ugly and disappointing. The struggles of the characters in both dramas might otherwise be written about in some inspirational self-help book, but here they are just one human's struggle. It sucks. It's not pretty. It's not there for you to conclude that life is beautiful and everything happens for a reason and happiness is there if you believe there is. They both say, no, life sucks sometimes, it gets dark and ugly, but you can make it out of your struggles alive someday.

One of the protagonist enter a different dimension where they end up causing trouble but found love. The female lead was always whining and cunning towards the male lead.

The stories are completely different but the character chemistry is similar. If you're looking for all the same friendship, humor and chemistry between ML and FL I would recommend to watch this. Both make your heart melt.

Both shows:
1. Are satires. Meaning that over the top humor is used to showcase real problem in society.
2. Both feel lighthearted despite boasting complex characters who face difficult problems, decisions and consequences.
3. Characters are always held accountable for their actions.
4. FL are grow with each episode and are always actively involved in the narrative. They are charismatic, eccentric, smart, capable and strong.
5. ML are smart, successful but oblivious characters. They are mean, not because they are jerks, but because they are blunt. They hide a gentle heart behind a wall of arrogance.
6. 2ML from Legal High is much more complex and has a role outside of pining for the FL.
7. The support characters from Legal High are more varied than the ones from FGTD. But both shows have, overall, good support characters.
8. The leads bicker a lot at first but soon start finding common ground, creating a balanced and healthy partnership.
9. Antagonists come across as cartoony and are hard to take seriously. But, in the end, the flaws in the system are the real antagonists.
10. Someone wants to bring down the ML.
11. Leads work together.
12. The humor relies on the absurd.
